THE BATMOBILE THREAD

There you go.

This is pretty much the first time on film or TV that The Batmobile has been more akin to an actual car, isn't it?
Batman '66 would have that title a bit more.

Come to think of it, yet another inspiration (?) from the Adam West series!

Wasn't sure I was going to like this direction, but I give Reeves credit for going Retro, Atmospheric, and Gritty. It looks definitely Golden Age with a twist. I would guess along with the suit, his vehicles are going to change and upgrade as this trilogy moves along.

I love this "makeshift" idea this has.
I mean this is batman two years in, He doesnt have lucious or so who builds hin high tech stuff.
Least of all some futuristic car, He needs to use what he can get without getting caught.

But i do hope this all evolves into more high tech stylish stuff either in this movie or the next.

I'm disappointed that it's just a souped-up car, but at least it looks good for what it is. I've always thought the Batmobile should be a one of a kind vehicle, and instantly recognizable as Batman's ride, and that doesn't apply to this version. If someone showed it to you without any context, would you ever make the connection to Batman? Because I sure wouldn't. My biggest gripes are the generic doors, windshield and headlights.

Right now I'd have to say that this is my least favorite live-action Batmobile (excluding Adam West's). Oh well, at least I like the Batcycle. Hopefully it'll look better in the film.

Yeah i dont like this. They did the impossible in that they made a bad batmobile. I have liked ever movie batmobile before this one but this one looks like trash. So now we have a bad actor for playing batman, a bat suit that head part looks off and now a bad looking batmobile. Yeah i am not felling this at all.

I'm really not surprised to see such a mixed response to the Batsuit and now the Batmobile.

I think I like both, but it is something I had to warm up to for sure. I do appreciate how Reeves is going in a totally different direction with this though.

It's a dope ride & as it is the Batmobile it inherently gains a coolness factor about it, that being said it doesn't look nor scream Batmobile..

It just looks like a modified car & by modified, I mean it looks like it's been stripped out with a roll cage added, the sort of thing that you'd see a normal car look like after it's been modified for racing. Not really impressive or as impressive as a Batmobile should be.

Looks a bit Ford GT40'ish with the engine bay exposed in the shot from the side.

Reminds me too much of the punisher car from the tom jane movie. Im just not feeling this costume or bot bike or car

Same could be said for the Tumbler and that worked out fine.

Its vague design imprint will be formed because of the movie. By 2021 it will only be known as the Batmobile.

Some people are having hard time readjusting from what became staples of Batman movies on big screen. But I think peopel are more positive about the car. Based on initial reactions even here.

This is somewhat my feelings also, everything looks stock & generic, there's nothing that really looks uniquely custom to the vehicle.

I always envisioned batman vehicles being more advanced then your typical vehicles. This looks like something I would see at a red light with a Dbag ribbing the engine

it reminds me of the 1970s comic book batmobile.

and it's almost like a modern update of the adam west batmobile - modified versions of real world cars.
i dig it.
and it differentiates itself from previous movie versions.

I'm a fan of it, for sure. My only real complaint is the fact that the engine is, more or less, completely exposed. It makes the car look too...fragile. I feel like if you shot it once, the entire car would just shut off. Stick some more armor around the engine or even make it seeable via glass like in a lot of supercars and I'd really dig it. Other than that? I like it. It looks less flashy but I think that'll work for the story being told

A little over the top but..

It's possible it retracts somehow or something. I can see a scenario where this thing pulls a Custom Coupe, and transforms from a street vehicle to The Batmobile.

Possibly, but even then it feels a little too impractical to have the engine that exposed in either context. Would be a cool idea to see it turn into a civilian car though, Telltale did a great job with that.
