THE BATMOBILE THREAD

Well, I like it.

It could be kept as-is or modified some more or replaced completely if they want it to scream "bat" more as he career moves forward.

I like the car, it’s not amazing but it’s simple & I like what they’re going for. My only concern re this movie is it sounds like it’s all phase 1. So this is his first suit, his first car etc and it will all evolve into fly fully fledged versions in sequels. Kind of tired of the everything has to be phased crap.

Could we all stop pretending that this Batmobile is the kind of thing that just anyone can slap together? There's a rocket on the back of this thing.
Pretty much looks like your typical custom hotrod with a widebody on it. I don't see a rocket engine on it. It looks like your typical V8 that's been twin turbo'd. You can see the turbos near the exhaust that comes out near the roof. It's also a regular dual exhaust setup.

I find it very interesting too that whenever we get something new, like the batmobile, previous set pics and the camera test, you see the exact same people just ****talking whatever it is, to death

It's deeeefinitely interesting how it's almost exclusively the exact same people

Maybe those people just don’t like what they’re seeing. It’s not out of the realm of possibility and given its a forum you’re gonna get different opinions. Not everyone has to love everything.

In some aspects I do like how "low tech" his equipment is. Now the GCPD's first instinct won't be to investigate rich people.

lol yea, it feels like he's only one step above the punisher in this. in terms of tech level.

please lord, do not let batman commit murder in this. please give us a batman who abides by the no kill rule in the movies for once. please!

This is exactly what I wanted! Finally a batmobile that actually looks like a practical frickin' car!

It's the type of batmobile I wanted! Batman going fast & furious/ mad max!

i love how the original batmobiles were just regular sedans. lol

The Fast and Furious comparisons are throwing me. Are those movies the only context that exists for cool muscle cars in cinema? Haha.

apparently, and a vamped up muscle car with an insane engine is also "cheap" now because it's not a vamped up lambo or Burton-esque, 1-of-1 machine. lol

I was hoping for some stronger bat themes, but it's not bad overall. Definitely has the look of the 70s era batmobile.

The thing is, batmobiles before Burton were mostly customized cars, or concept cars, of that specific time. If we're really going for that approach, maybe they should've used a current car to customized, or upcoming concept cars, or even something military grade if he's waging some war on crime. You'd think a supposed billionaire can do better than stealing Dom's car from the FF series. I mean is he supposed to save the city, or enter as a contestant on Netflix's Hyperdrive?

why does the hyperbole have to be so cringe tho lol

Definitely looks to me like Bruce could have spent serious money on designing and building it. Just doesn't look like it was built by a corporation or the military.

Right, but that's the exhaust. I don't think it's actually a rocket engine, but what's the thing in the center? Looks like a nod to the classic afterburner.

Yall are either deliberately or foolishly not considering proportion and context. By bruce wayne standards this thing is very cheap. These days 1000 hp hotrods can built for $100,000 or less with prefabricated kits and a factory car.

I'd be surprised if Bruce put more than $500,000 into this thing.

Low budget but whatever, still likely gets the work he wants done

Its very generic looking. Its not ugly. I just look at it and go meh. Nothing about it looks impressive. I mean at certain angles it could drive right past you at night and you wouldn't bat an eyelid. Pardon the pun.

I think it might be a V10. It looks like it has five coil packs on each side.

maybe this is a more frugal bruce wayne this time. lol

Alternative:

Detective: "I wonder how Batman got that $5 million vehicle?"

Bruce making a concerted effort not to flash wealth with his Batman gear is a valid interpretation. It's something an intelligent person would consider. It widens the suspect pool.
