THE BATMOBILE THREAD

I have to say this doesn’t really feel like the Batmobile to me. If I saw this without Batman next to it, I wouldn’t think it was the Batmobile. I recognize Batman has had similar looking vehicles, but it’s not obvious this is The Batmobile.

still cool though.
I like it but agreed. It’s funny the Tumbler wasn’t decked out in Bat deco like previous ones. But it was so technological and odd looking it stood out from anything else in such a way ... that it was obvious it was a batmobile. There is a bat motif although it’s extremely subtle. It looks like a crawling bat from the front. It just doesn’t have bat rims and bat wings on the back and too bat too furious logo-izing everywhere.

This new muscle bat looks like a really beastly muscle car, there an elements of bat like wings at the tail. But it looks more just like a car than the rest do.

66 and Burton’s 89 are the most iconic visually.

Nolan’s Tumbler was the most functional and unique. Story wise by far the best, with the absolute best chase scenes on screen thus far.

Snyder’s Batmobile seemed like Nolan derivative but with more emphasis on “cool” aesthetics, maybe a dash of Burton in there. But seemed to borrow way more from Nolan even if aspects didn’t make sense or were extremely over designed. Or very hardcore in true Snyder machismo way. Especially in Justice League.

This is the best route they could take things visually to make it distinct after soooo many iterations over 33 years of the character on screen.

Nolan did the heightened realism, Snyder did Frank Miller comic bookness, Reeves seems to be doing the overtly gritty almost post apocalyptic Mad Max take on the mythos. Year Zero / Year One / Year 100 esque.

That Batmobile looked great in certain shots.

I don’t care what anyone says. B&R is the prettiest Batman movie. My favorite Batmobile sequence might be the statue/rooftop Mister Freeze chase. Visually incredible.

The cgi during that chase kinda ruins it though

I'm damn serious. Schumacher's Batman was stacked with cool stuff. From the gadgets, to the Bat-vehicles, to the awesome Batcave (my favorite live action Batcave).
Ill say this, both of Schumachers films, as bad as they are, are a ton of fun to watch for how campy and stupid they are.

I kinda get why some of y’all don’t like the car, but man...it just looks so damn good to me. It could have a few more of the traditional embellishments, for sure, but I think it’s great as is.

Completely agreed. It’s too bad he didn’t get to finish out the series with Batman: Unchained. It would’ve been incredible. The hallucination sequence with all the villains would’ve been mind blowing.

^Pouah... That looks so good...
Just with this picture and the short extract from the theme, it already gives us a good idea of what could become. And I love it.
The teaser could be just that to me, I would be excited aha !

The tumbler never looked like a batmobile because it kinda wasn’t. At least to me, I always thought he would build a car after it was demolished. This new batmobile has a wing shape in the back which makes it identifiable. Sorry but I don’t believe anyone who says “oh it looks like a random car..”. Not like any car I’ve seen on the street lol. It absolutely has a bat theme. It’s subtle but it’s there.

There’s not liking something, then there’s “I’m just looking for reasons to hate everything about this new iteration. Which I’m seeing a lot on twitter right now.

And the “it’s not what I expected” crowd. I’m calling b.s. These people have all heard the muscle car rumours for months.
