BvS The Batsuit Thread - Part 14

I honestly can´t find one single suit in this thread that looks cooler than anything we had seen before on film. It´s like when people say the "Dead End" suit is the perfect suit. I´d say most of the GA would find any of these concepts a big step back from what we got in TDK trilogy.

Black looks cooler than than grey and armour looks cooler and more functional than a piece of fabric. It´s as simple as that. I don´t wanna see anything that looks straight lifted from a comic book.

I am definitely more of a fan of the movie suits in all black. I think it works better on film and it is much more forgiving as well. If there are parts that are gray/blue etc. all imperfections of the suit would show a bit more. I would like to see something that looks new but I certainly like the black look better.

I am a fan of these looks:

I would like a version similar to that.

I found this as well which I don't think has been posted before, I am not saying this should be the suit or anything but I am just saying it looks interesting.

Pretty bad ass the first two. A true creature of the night. Batman is a bad ass and black is a bad ass color.

Very M.A.N.T.I.S.

True, I don't read comics, (but I do like the superhero movies) but I looked up Mantis Batman and that suit does look pretty cool without the mouth opening. If he can make a tank-car and a plane, and all this other stuff, it does seem like he would be able to cover his mouth and still be able to speak.

Black is a great color, there is a reason so many police officers wear it, correctional officers, S.W.A.T. teams, etc. I don't know why a lot of people don't like it. I've heard people say they don't like it, but I am not sure why they don't like it. The black hides imperfections well, and it looks very good on film. Definitely a good reference as well to his combat training. He isn't doing karate where everyone dresses in white, he is usually doing a style of kung-fu. Kung-fu uniforms, for the most part, are black.

I´d laugh so hard if we got a black suit. Too bad that ain´t gonna happen, but it would be pretty funny.

For those who have not seen this, here are some extra pictures of that concept suit. The head is really unique.

My model, a little bit polished. It's a hires png and it's masked, so it's very easy to manip it. :yay: And if you like this vision of Batman, have some patience. I made something for Batman's anniversary. Hmm...you should really see the animated one.. :cwink:

That is really good. I hope this is similiar to the suit for MOS 2.

Is that Predator?

I hate to shoot your opinions down..
but audiences haven't been seeing ANY live action variation of the classic suit in nearly 50 years. It's about time :jedi

Huh? This is as good as it gets for batsuits?

I suppose what's aesthetically pleasing to some...

...it just isn't really Batman to me...

They just can't do the same thing again. The jigsaw look is so 2011.:oldrazz:

I am not proposing that suit for the movie, I am just saying it is an interesting concept for a movie. Unfortunately though, audiences sometimes want something which may not look as good as they think. A lot of fans were proposing for Man of Steel suits that were similar to the Christopher Reeve suit, and wanted the "S" to also be on the back of the suit, etc. Yet what they got was not close to what anyone had been saying they wanted, and in the end it wound up looking even better than they thought it did. It is one thing for audiences to want to see something, but to make it work on film may be a different thing. I am not saying that the comic suit (I assume the blue/gray with yellow or black/gray/ with yellow) might not work, but if a different one works/looks even better, even if it is not the classic, if it looks better and it still looks like Batman, you would almost have to go with it.

Scallop the cape's bottom, and we have an absolute winner!

True ;)

Though the MOS suit's textures and colors were far more faithful than any of the movie Batsuits were to the general comics (not counting the more armored new 52)

Great work. I'd really love to see your take on the New 52 suit, if you ever get around to it.

:hubba Dat suit.

Has the trunk thus it's inadequate. :o

The thing is: The expectations and desires of most of the "audiences" don´t really match the expectation and desires of the members of this forum and comic book fans in general.

I mean, how big is the percentage of people that really want to see a grey suit? Black is popular and people tend to like it a lot more than grey. How big is the percentage of people that prefer a piece of grey fabric as opposed to a cool black armour? I honestly don´t think it is that high.

I´m ok with something that doesn´t look like heavy armour. You can make something similar to the Captain America suit, though i don´t think that would look cool in grey. Maybe a very dark grey, but not the grey we see in comics most of the time.

Black just makes everything look better.
