Exactly, they will only get our money 4 times over. Suck on that WB. :o

Rebels with a cause. :BA

If MOS2 sucks, and sucks BORINGLY, I'll totally blame WB.
If MOS2 sucks and sucks EPICALLY, I'll blame Snyder, Goyer, and Terrio (who was probably out of his element or didn't change enough)
If MOS2 is great, I'll blame Terrio for improving an ambitious story by Snyder and Goyer ;)
If it's okay, I'll blame Terrio for fixing it JUST enough to be okay, or Goyer/Snyder playing it safe :P

If MOS2 is sexy, I'll blame Cav-el.:woot:

Sorry, I had to! It was too easy!

Nothing to worry about. Nolan used Lindy Hemming's designs for his batsuits; and we already know that Snyder's guy is Michael Wilkinson. It's as simple as that really.

Yeah, I don't think we'll get TDK suit: The sequel.

Spider-Man doesn't wear spandex either. He also wears fabric, though a much thinner material than what someone like Batman would wear.

Oh pleeez ...we're splitting hairs here.....He is to, wearing a a spandex suit! come on...And it looks great!

If he can wear one and no freaks out....let Batman have a "fabric" suit....At least he'll be able to finally move around better!

I have complete faith in Wilkinson and Snyder to bring us the best batsuit yet.
If it's anywhere near the level of the supes suit.....I'm going to be very very happy.

Just what Coco said - Spidey's got superpowers - super-senses, super reaction time, super agility, and super strength. He doesn't need to worry too much about getting shot - he can dodge em. Batman on the other hand is human - at it's natural peak maybe, but still human. Don't get me wrong, I don't want the batsuit to be armored up like in TDKR or even the Arkham games, but suggest slightly more protection than Supes' suit.

Spandex works for Spiderman because of his character - he's outrageous in color and powers, and those big eyes and no visible mouth seem to allow for the spandex-type suit to work IMO. Batman is more gritty and human, so a spandex suit on him would just look too strange in live-action IMO. I mean they may be able to get it right one day, but we're in the age of a more realistic take on Batman - like I said before, not all armored up I hope, but at least more covered than just purely a spandex suit.

Seconded!!! I like that bat symbol.

Thanks! Yeah, I chose it out of this image I found a while back of a ton of different symbols - I guess its a compilation of ones used in different comics, shows, movies, etc. Not sure which version the one I used is from, but I liked it too!

^ It's funny, because as I was adding dots of facial hair, I was like "HolyCrap, Frank Miller's Batman's ALIVE"

And then I'm like, lol that's just fan art ;)

The glowing eyes just make him look so much more inhuman and MEAN for lack of a better word.

But I wouldn't want him to never be able to show his "real" human eyes.

The eyes for showing his soul, and the glow for showing his "mystique" :)

Best of both worlds :D

One thing that is important to fighters, especially like Indonesian fighters, etc. is to have their "spirit" come through their eyes. What I interpret they mean by that is to project their intensity thru the eyes. When you fight, you should be looking directly at your target, so on a groin shot you should be looking down, etc. When striking in the face, or throat you should make full eye contact with the target. Project your anger, intent, intensity, like if you were burning a hole through your target. I personally think the eyes should show. I don't know why the eyes should ever be covered except if he is using tear-gas, pepper spray, or any other chemical agent that affects vision.

I see your point here, but how often has that happened? I'd think for 99% of the time he can dodge them using his superpowers.

How often does it need to happen?? Only once..........right? spidey fights vilains who are just as fast as he is.......Carnage......Venom.......The Goblin......
And you cant just pull a number out of the air like 99.9 percent.....everytime he fights, the opponent gets in a lick.

I know this isn't a Spider-Man thread, but I have to again address this comment.

Well, I think we were talking about getting shot, and a bullet is a bullet - it has nothing to do with do fires it. I'd say against a bullet, Spider-man is pretty good about dodging them relatively easily due to his superpowers. The 99% that I threw in there was to put a number on my personal thought. Even so, that other 1% could indeed include a fatal wound, but that would be a character-ender, so there's that. As for the other non-lethal wounds, he's got a higher than normal healing factor, so he'd be back swinging in no time.

As far as your villain example goes, of course he can get hurt by his villains - that's exactly why they're a threat. I mean Superman can be hurt and even killed by some of HIS villains as well, so I don't think that's a good argument here.

Which is why, I think it would be more powerful for "the glow" to come on when the shadows drown out the eyes anyway.

It depends, although in a movie fight like in the Dark Knight trilogy it wouldn't really matter because it wouldn't show very much at that speed. It would depend on how they film it and the scene, but I don't think it would matter much. Personally I did not like the glowing white eyes in the Dark Knight movie. It looks so CGI. If there was no glow, and it were just the eye part white out I think it would be better because it is not as noticeable, but the glow makes it look less human to me. The eyes to me work better because you can "see" the person you are fighting. It makes it look more like out of a horror movie I feel when you can see eyes, it feels less like it is a man inside of a suit who is fighting and seeing the world he is fighting in like a video game or something through glowing glasses or anything. I am not sure why people want that glow so much though, is that something from the comics? I would imagine that is why people would be interested in that, because it is from the comics.

^ I feel..bad for you.

You seem to find a way to tick off every comic fan without trying ;)

White eyes that glow in the dark tend to be from the comics :)

LOL The white eyes could be white in the comics because it is a lot easier to leave the eye holes blank rather than have to draw in the eyes. If I were to draw Batman I would leave it blank or black them out as if it were a shadow so I don't have to put in the work.

Funny enough, it's HARDER for me to not fill in the eye holes with dotted pupils..

OR it could be that it's easier for Batman to look intimidating and mysterious without visual "giveaways" of the iris

Could be, I think it easier to draw less than more, but different people, you never know.

I think this does not look as good as with the eyes though:

That's because the white lenses in TDK weren't meant to look menacing. The were used soley for that scene, for no ore than a minute or two. They were't going for a certain look. It can look good. But stop using TDK as the example.

What are you guys talking about? Those lenses look amazing in TDK!

The issue is not with the eyes themselves. It's with the muscles.
