The actual still. Notice how much less sinister he looks.

My reasoning is that if the lack of light prevents one from seeing his eyes ANYWAY, they might as well have the glow "kick in."

Something gained (a comic book look) and nothing lost.

The glowing eyes just make him look so much more inhuman and MEAN for lack of a better word.

But I wouldn't want him to never be able to show his "real" human eyes.

The eyes for showing his soul, and the glow for showing his "mystique"

Spider-Man doesn't wear spandex either. He also wears fabric, though a much thinner material than what someone like Batman would wear.

I don't want a suit made of only spandex for batman, but some fabric or combination of fabrics would be nice.

I want a suit with maybe a spandex base, some kevlar segments, a bit of padding near the chest area, and a short cape so that he can run without it dragging to the ground. Nothing too complicated. And I'm also okay with kneepads

Just what Coco said - Spidey's got superpowers - super-senses, super reaction time, super agility, and super strength. He doesn't need to worry too much about getting shot - he can dodge em. Batman on the other hand is human - at it's natural peak maybe, but still human. Don't get me wrong, I don't want the batsuit to be armored up like in TDKR or even the Arkham games, but suggest slightly more protection than Supes' suit.

Spandex works for Spiderman because of his character - he's outrageous in color and powers, and those big eyes and no visible mouth seem to allow for the spandex-type suit to work IMO. Batman is more gritty and human, so a spandex suit on him would just look too strange in live-action IMO. I mean they may be able to get it right one day, but we're in the age of a more realistic take on Batman - like I said before, not all armored up I hope, but at least more covered than just purely a spandex suit.

Uuggh, I hate that the Nolan trilogy makes everything think of Kevlar as hardened plates or "segments". It's actually fabric, a thick, dense cloth-like material. A heavy fabric suit akin to the 1940s Captain America suit in TFA could realistically be portrayed as advanced Kevlar. Since the material's invention in the 1960, Kevlar vests have gotten much lighter and thinner.

I know some people like the suit from TDKR, but just making some parts more grey and changing the belt to black just doesn't do it for me. I'm glad we're going to be getting something fresh and new for this next movie.

Yep, I've been talking about that interview in the Gal Gadot is Wonder Woman thread.

I'm fine with them looking at all the costumes and coming up with something interesting, hopefully something a 1000 times better than the other Batman movie costumes. I loved the Superman costume and can't wait to see what Wilkinson and Snyder came up with.

I'd be straight pissed off if that happened and I'd put all of the blame on Warner Brothers because Snyder's sensibilities don't even begin to lean in the unmovable bulky rubber way.

Yeah, something like that is angry fan-mail material, at the very least. I can't promise to boycott the movie if they rehash that suit (because I'm weak and need a dose of Cav-el!), but I can promise to only see it 4 times in the theater instead of 5, on account of the ugly batsuit.

If MOS2 sucks, and sucks BORINGLY, I'll totally blame WB.
If MOS2 sucks and sucks EPICALLY, I'll blame Snyder, Goyer, and Terrio (who was probably out of his element or didn't change enough)
If MOS2 is great, I'll blame Terrio for improving an ambitious story by Snyder and Goyer
If it's okay, I'll blame Terrio for fixing it JUST enough to be okay, or Goyer/Snyder playing it safe :P

Nothing to worry about. Nolan used Lindy Hemming's designs for his batsuits; and we already know that Snyder's guy is Michael Wilkinson. It's as simple as that really.
