This is mentioned a few pages back. It's a 10 year old hoax purportedly of Christian Bale's first batsuit. The fact that you found it and posted it here presumably means that:

After Batscot dug it up off an old hard drive, as it was nowhere on the net to be found until he did, and posted it here yesterday, someone took it from here, modified it to look washed out and posted it somewhere else. All because we were talking about hoaxes and how they start and spread. Which is insane. Hoaxception. Jeezus H.

WB just needs to give us a glimpse of the suit, enough ****ing around and changing the dates on us. If they aren't going to deliver the goods then they should just shut everyone up who seems to be "in the know" about when the pics were/are supposed to be revealed. Sick of being trolled every month.

It's just really annoying that some troll deliberately took someone else's work from this board and tried to pass it off as something - 10 years after it first appeared. It's just *****ey.

At least he other hoaxer did their own work.

Speaking of that, I hopped over to the IMBD forum last night to read through that thread. I saw a message that someone posted saying, "Fake. Here's the whole picture (I'm sure as just a joke) and then went ahead and posted a manip that I had done about a month or two ago. I felt flattered in a way I guess, but people on the internet can just be dumb sometimes.

If I was doing such a manip (and I've done many) I wouldn't combine two cowls to make one - that's too difficult and unneccessary. I'd just choose one and alter it to look like I wanted it to.

It would take 20 minutes tops to get a picture of the Arkham Origins cowl, trim the ears and smooth over the detailing on the sides of the head and have it look identical to the cowl in the hoax image.

The brow sculpt is the undeniable point of similarity (as in, identical), proving it was manipped from the Arkham Origins cowl and almost certainly that cowl only. I don't know why people are still talking about it - especially in a way as if there's a chance it still might be real.

I'm sure the hoaxer is having a good laugh.

I'm not saying I necessarily think it is the real thing, but so far I haven't seen any definitive, or compelling, evidence that it is not real.

I'll throw out that I do think that the final product will end up looking similar to the purported "leak." I just really hope the ears aren't that short.

Um, yes, it is. That's what the 10 year old manip was made from. When I posted the manip as "the original" I mean the original version of the manip and not the newly modified version Tra-El posted.

So you're saying that Snyder could have deliberately chosen to have a cowl that is based very, very closely on the Arkham Origins one? Not impossible, I guess, but very very unlikely.

To me, identical facial geometry to the cowl found in an existing videogame is 99.99% definitive proof that it's a hoax.

Believe me, I was allowing the (slight) possibility that it was real too, until the exact match with the AO cowl was eventually discovered.

I'm no photoshop expert, which you may very well be, but there are a few subtle differences in the two. I'm sure you can modify these in photoshop though.

It's the similarities that prove one was based on the other, not the differences that prove they're unrelated.

And not all images of the AO cowl are the same - game art, box art, cinematics - they're not identical, theyre even done by different companies.

I just want some kind of cowl where raccoon eyey make up isn't deemed a must. Maybe even something that could actually be pulled off and then drape behind his neck for scenes in thecave with Alfred.

Wilkinson’s Tweet didn’t specify exactly what images would be coming in the near weeks. But, with Man of Steel 2 being the only known movie project he’s working on currently, and the photographer he references (Steven Simko) shoots images for portraits and magazines— it’s not against reasoning (read: our strong fan hopes and desires) he’s referring to official images of Ben Affleck as Batman, Henry Cavill as Superman, and Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman. Anything more would be a huge added bonus to our already eager-with-anticipation energy level.
