So what's going on with the neck? There's a giant fold that extends all the way up to the ear.

It's not a fold. If you look at the zoomed and lightened image up close, you can see the his neck this thinner than his head. But the way he's leaning his head down makes it kind of look like a fold, which it isn't.

Looks like the muscle, or design of such muscle in the cowl.. As on the Panther cowl.. The difference to me? Between the muscle and the jaw line? It looks like the cowl is more slender .. Hence the weird looking shadow...

If I had any nitpick, it's that we've regressed back to the sculpted cowl that will stop Affleck from being able to turn his head. But I can understand and respect why they did that. The TDK cowl is more practical, but this kind of cowl is just more visually appealing.

Perhaps, they learned something.. Solved something.. And will put that theory to rest?
Imagine if we got the more visually appealing cowl.. And it did everything it needed to do practically as well?

That would be cool...

I really ****in hate that guy. He's such an incredible tool. I don't really agree with him, either though... Marvel did have that release date first, WB only moved there because they couldn't get their act together quick enough. WB/DC should get their act together sooner and release the film earlier. That would be the best thing. Fork tongued El Mayimbe ought to tweet that.

Marvel did have that release date first, WB only moved there because they couldn't get their act together quick enough. WB/DC should get their act together sooner and release the film earlier. I do see somewhat of a New52 influence on there...in the design...but it looks much much less pronounced here.

I'm going to dry heave if Superman shows up in a collar though. He had better not be in a damn collar in the new "tweaked" suit.

Hell yes. It's a glorious suit, is it not, Torch?

It is a great day! The Batsuit has been revealed, and it's just about all I could have hoped it would be. If the suit is grey against a black cowl, symbol and gloves, it's status as the best movie Batsuit will be cemented, though I'm already inclined to give it that accolade.

People have talked about how the Batsuit is very Miller, and I agree, but for me it's also very Greg Capullo, with the seams, the texture of the fabric, and the shape of the cowl. And Batman himself looks like a tank, an old brawler.

If I had any nitpick, it's that we've regressed back to the sculpted cowl that will stop Affleck from being able to turn his head. But I can understand and respect why they did that. The TDK cowl is more practical, but this kind of cowl is just more visually appealing.

I'm very happy. And, if nothing else, we know Ben Affleck is going to LOOK great as Batman.

I see it as more Capullo than Lee. Lee's suit design is very techy and segmented. I feel like Capullo perfected the design, simplified and streamlined it, and that's the version that's more closely reflected in this pic.

This is definitely influence by Watchmen..or vice versa. It looks to be the same material as Nite Owl's costume in Watchmen.

I think this is what makes this suit so GREAT. You can really see several different comic book references. It's actually amazing how when someone post a different comparison pic of what it looks the most like, I see a little bit of all of them in it!

Yup. I see Capullo's and Lee's Hush design, with a Miller-esque Batemblem.
