Ta.Tan, brown, or bronze it looks like.
Overall, I don't think we can ask for anything more with this style of suit.
Ta.Tan, brown, or bronze it looks like.
Still too bulky for my tastes, but hard to argue with all the same. It's so satisfying to see Batman look like Batman for once, especially after having people on this board tell me for years it could never happen.
To everyone who said it could never be grey, I laugh in your face.
Anyways--like I said when the thing was first revealed, they struck a really incredible balance between the suit looking like worn, often-repaired battlegear, and like the sinewy flesh of some monster. It's really amazing that they were able to do this. Bringing creature elements to the costume is something I remember talking about back in 2004 and it's satisfying to have it finally happen.

Evolution of Batman: 1989-2016
27 years. Goddamn.
Maybe this is them cutting the bs and both realizing Luthor played them like fiddles.
The beefed-up neck certainly helps to replicate the sharp, angular silhouette so often seen in the comics and in the Burton films. They started to lose it with the Schumacher cowls where the ears started to flare out, and it was altogether gone with the "egg head" look of the Nolan cowls. The funny thing is that the 1989 suit is the one this looks most like. They were on the right track then, they just went in the wrong direction.
I think the Burton suits looked great as they were. However this one is just as lovely. The B'89 suit would have looked even more amazing with this color scheme,Damn it Burton!
This suit is definitely on my top 5 list of best superhero costumes on film.
I am just so happy it's not blue and gray.

Definitely looks like a very subtle bronze on the belt!

Looks like cosplay man ruined his suit lol. Might want to take it up with his "sources."
Technically, he could just paint it black again. But he still looked like a tremendous tool coming on here with that bs.
Uh, look at Bat's left hand in the shot of him above, you can see his thumb "knuckle" bit looks bronze!
The same costume designer for this movie did these costumes:

He's going to be able turn his head AND fold his cowl back. Wilkinson even said this was one of the first conversations him and Snyder had for this movie.
