I think something that's almost certainly going to be common knowledge and featured in the trailers is not a spoiler.

This is the correct assessment.I see some washed out bronze on the fins and knuckles too, but it is so barely noticeable that they look like steel or even black, depending on the lighting. It is definitely nowhere near that bright, in-your-face cosplay's bronze.
The. God. Damned. Batman!yup. Just cover the head with your hand and imagine this standing on the side of the building. If it weren't for the mouth opening, you'd definitely mistake it for a statue.

When people first started talking about it, I said that if it was true it would probably be so dark and tarnished as to barely be noticeable, especially in night-time lighting.
But people just imagined gaudy bright bronze gold and thought it couldn't possibly true.
The cosplayers who attempted to replicate the look from what they heard got it wrong, and I still see people saying they think it's completely black and just reflecting "bronze light" or whatever, but it's time to accept that there was/is a basis of truth in what they were saying.
It IS subtle, but those bits do have a bronze tint. The people who made those claims were right, and saying "well you can barely tell" is kind of weaseling out of admitting that.
I wouldn't want it any other way, but damn this suit would also look great with an '89 make-over - all black, Keaton emblem, Keaton belt, boots & gloves, and a sleeker, more flexible version of the Keaton cowl.
So muscular. So organic. So wrinkly. Much lighter grey than I'd expect. Not at all what I would have gone for, but I can't say I don't love it.
It just makes most of the previous suits look silly or at the very least misguided. Except for the 89 one. That one and this are the most similar to eachother, it's like the new suit is fulfilling the promise of the original Keaton one.

And the dogma of the all black cinematic batsuit profoundly refuted.Could look at this suit all day.
I've been waiting to see this thing since the early nineties. I feel profoundly vindicated.

Personally, I have no desire to see that. The Keaton suits had their time.

t:Nah.Instead of making fun of Bale's Batman suit, let's embrace the rich, on-screen history of the Batman and acknowledge that everything that came before -- both the good and the bad -- has led us to this moment in which we are witnessing a live action Batsuit of the upmost quality.
Yeah baby!
I don't mean I want to see it in a movie. But wouldn't you like to just see what it would look like with someone walking around in a suit like that, just for the hell of it? Just as a what-if thing?
I personally have no such desires, as I always hated Burton's black and yellow batsuit. But to each their own, of course.
Oh, I'm strokin' itTheGuard and BatScot are going to have ****ing strokes when they see this thing.

This shot impresses me more than any other. Without a hint of hyperbole, this is Batman ripped off the comic page. ****ing glorious.
Okay guys, you feasted your eyes enough on the impressive muscular physique, now it is time for a:
