I just dont get what we're supposed to like about these villains. What's so cool, or funny, endearing, or even evil about them that will make us crowd to the cinemas to watch them? They look like they dressed up for a Comic Con in the 90ies. Then the filters applied to the picture make it look like it hang on the wall of a gas station toilette for a decade.

Given that one of the characters is a crocodile-man, I don't think a surfeit of realism is really your objection to the image. Rather, you dislike the visual tone, which you identify as lacking "coolness" and humour, and you cite an unfamiliarity with the characters. You go on to suppose that there won't be any jokes:

LE EPIK REALISM AND DOWN TO EARTH AND NO JOKES.

Well, in reply I would say that there will inevitably be some gloomy or macabre elements to a movie entitled "Suicide Squad", and it may be your unfamiliarity with the characters that has misdirected you to expect something different.

Suffice to say, that there are a very great number of comic book movies with "jokes" and bright colours that may suit you better. I find them rather cloying. Isn't it nice that different movies appeal to different people.

Plus, Suicide Squad will most likely be filled with dark humor. Again, it depends on your taste.

^ Yup. Might not be some other person's cup of tea. To that I say, you are missing out on some great tea. Also, Batsuit amirite??

That's a nice compilation you got there.

Yeah we'd much rather flock to a movie about a bunch of criminals we've never heard of, or care about, if they have a talking racoon and tree amongst their number! :whatever:

The folded part on the cape gives me hope that it can go in front, covering his chest :

In the nicest way, SS has very little impact on the DC movie universe to me. It's a fairly low budget film that will no doubt pull a profit. The question is how much? BvS is important as it is an intended blockbuster flick to setup other big characters/movies. SS being a big hit would be cool, but being a mediocre film would have little impact in the grander scope of DCMU.

Aside from that one pic of Batfleck under a black cape to cover him up, were there any more spy pics?
Under advice of SHH Admin I cannot confirm or deny the existence or non-existence of any more spy pics

With both Joker and Harley in the film, if portrayed right, that's almost a given.

my memory lets me down from time to time, but didn't i recently see around this forum some 'pun intended' pictures of white and blue suits of various previous suits, including the affleck suit, which actually indeed had the cape closed at the front?

my bad, my memory has put a joke on me

would look awesome tho

Jett, on the other hand, would have us believe that his "BOF" pic is the genesis for Nolan/Ledger's Joker

I remember Jett claiming that Hulme was cast as Joker because Nolan had taken him to a premiere or something. I think Jett believes he is personally responsible for the creation of the Nolan trilogy and DCU as well as many of the story choices within, Joker design, Bale casting. Due to his site's influence and it's status as the voice of the fans. He is the man behind the curtain.

Yeah, I don't recall the uproar that Marvel was ashamed of the Falcon or Hawkeye – their costumes are nothing like their originals! Even Captain America has more liberties taken with his uniform than most of these!

Yep.

Bale isn't really 6', so Clooney must be a fair bit shorter than 5'11" in reality.

Hmm, cause everywhere I looked it says, 6' 0" or 1.83m. How tall is he then?

I couldn't tell you, and that it merely a deduction that I have made by seeing him alongside numerous other actors and celebrities.

I have a theory (unsupported by any empirical evidence) that every actor beneath 6'1" exaggerates their height, and most above 6'3" quote it downwards.

For actresses, it's probably something like 5'3" and 5'9".

And hopefully it will be. It is iconic for Batman to drape himself like this when not in action.

It is rather strange how much I want to see this actually.

How disappointed would you be if it never happens?

I wouldn't say that I would be disappointed. I would be a bit bummed though, especially since it looks like this cape is wide enough for that and it is a shame to pass the opportunity for that imagery. But the fact that batfleck's suit is so ****ing alley would make me get over that pretty fast, I think.

Actually, they should have draped Bale's suit more often. It looked best when half obscured.
