I officially support the idea of batman getting the yellow oval symbol in Justice league

I hope the follow Batman's arc in New Frontier. He wears the black and grey with the black bat when he was operating solo as a vigilante...but once he joins the league he adopts the blue and grey with the oval.

I'll have to be a contrarian on this one and say that I always found that beats by a long shot.

I never liked the yellow oval on suits. It's just not aesthetically pleasing to me.

Frank Miller's Batman had a blue and grey shuit WITH the yellow symbol in Issue 1 of the Dark Knight Returns. Actually he was the one who gave a purpose to it.

"why do you think I wear a target on my chest, can't armor my head." - direct TDKR quote.

To be honest, it was one of the things about Batmqn that Miller didn't like..
The quote from the book that you used, was Frank being sarcastic.. Within the context and words of his own story.

At the last Comic-Con.. During the panel of many artists and writers featured in the Bat-books.. Millers' own quote..

"But he also runs around with a young kid in bright tights who is a human target," Miller joked. "And for a time he also ran around with this big stupid yellow circle on his chest. One of my proudest achievements in comics is getting rid of that goddamn yellow circle."

We can all be subjective about intentions, and opinions. I am one that prefers the black-bat. I do not mind the oval, just an aesthetic preference.
But as far as Miller?
Please the DC people.. Start with the oval.. Make a "joke" about it..
Then loose it..

Personally, I do not mind some of the looks with the oval, I grew up reading O'neal's words, and loving Neal's artwork.
That said, I am a very happy man to finally see the Black and Grey.
And I do not want to think about changes just yet, or the return of the oval..
Not till I at least get to see this new BvS look on the big screen.
And boy, do I look forward to that..
And some still inquire about the neck and it's turning abilities?
I expect it to move just fine.. That suit is just marvelous to behold..
And I am glad the day is finally coming to see a fabric based Black and Grey Batsuit on the big screen.

I'm with you. Besides, colour is for Marvel. DC is for grimdark, realism and serious bizness.

It'd also be nice if they put it on a diet. Sorry to say, but the one thing Nolan did better in the suit department was the emblem.

Same. I don't really mind it. The black Bat is still top for me but I am not opposed to it being brought back for JL Batman in the DCCU.

So speaking of the oval...I saw this on DeviantArt and thought it looked kinda interesting. I don't think this particular color scheme would quite work in live action (maybe a more muted and darker blue), but thought I'd share it. Also, as a disclaimer, I know this is from the leaked images from before, but I've seen people posting them, so I assume they're okay to post?

I do agree that the symbol is too large, but it was the first blue/grey version I've seen using the new art file. I may do my own version to see how it would look with more "film-level" colors and symbol.

Or even the raised oval could be an emergency defibrillator in case it senses his heart stops...I don't know, I'm sure Bats has stuff like that somewhere since he's the best prepared hero out theret:

If they do introduce yellow oval (though I hope they won't) I expect yellow to be more similar to brownish/bronze color, like the belt currently is.

Actually I would find it to be hilarious, if he'd open it like a bathroom cabinet.

Well Keaton and Kilmer's ovals were raised and looked pretty fine. It doesn't need to be anything more than that. I actually fell like the Inc suits oval is a bit too raised, and the black outline too thick.

Well, although I generally prefer the plain back bat, I kinda also like the yellow oval when it's paired with the black/grey suit much more than the blue/grey.
