Well now we pretty much know what the white lenses would look like in live action

Yeah and it doesn't further any argument about it looking good on Batman.

You can tell there's a total disconnect between the actor playing the role and the audience.

I'm not saying it looks bad but the "Power Rangers" point is somewhat valid as it stops feeling like it's the actual actor in that suit and is just some random stunt double now.

Visible eyes humanize and create a connection between the actor and audience.

Bingo. And I bet Deadpool will do the same for the argument that animated lenses are the way to go.

Not sure what we're comparing here but I do agree that the suit looks better on Ben than it does in any other version I've seen (concept art, Arkham Knight, suit display at Comic Con). He has this way of filling it out that makes it look more massive while still maintaining that imposing muscular factor.

assuming he goes glide in the film, is this what the cape will look like??[YT]mf2qFwhdmNs[/YT]

Somewhat, but not totally. According to the one pic of him standing on that tower with the rifle, the cape in the film has a few more scallops than is evident in the game.

I wouldn't be that categorical on that. The shot itself is a bit tricky (the way the cape moves can be misleading) and also it's coming from a 7 months old trailer (the visual effects were far from finished back then).

Plus, and I'm just assuming here, Rocksteady most likely had access the high end CGI models from both the suit and the Batmobile, they surely didn't make those from scratch.

Well, in the game it looks to me like they use the same base model for all the capes with the same number of scallops, (just different skins) and it looks to me like they reduced the number of scallops on the BvS cape skin to fit the model. Having said that, If they do have Batman gliding around in the movie, other than the number of scallops, it'll likely look the same. And I'm pretty sure that pic from the trailer is final footage, there's no way they would change it after that just to match the game.

The physics engine is the same for every capes but visually (length, texture, scallops) are all different.

Regardless, I really doubt that the cape in the movie has as few scallops as the game's. and that assumption is based on an officially released pic.

I actually like how the cape looks in the game. If there aren't more scallops on the real cape, I won't be complainin'.

The issue with lenses is you are then stuck with them. Black Panthers eyes will always look the same. The actor could be smiling underneath for instance. They may seem inappropriate for the scene.

Eyes are really expressive and I wouldn't trade that for Batman.

Which is why I think they should just do what the Arkham games are doing.

There's a glimpse of a batplane at about 5:00 in that video that I like a LOT better than the one we're getting in the movie. The one in the movie is a crappy design, IMO.

I don't like it. As pretty much everything in "Arkham Knight", it looks too busy.

And I really like the design of BvS batwing, personally. It's interesting.

So on the BVS skin in Arkham knight, we can see clear as day that the knuckles and arm blades are bronzed. Are some people still in denial about that?

I didn't really like them for a while, but I started to get used to it and after seeing the AK skin I think they look really good when the bronze is muted and not too bright.

I recall that bathead was quite adamant it was merely an optical illusion.
