Careful, you will be labeled a Nolan hater now.

lol

If anyone labels me a Nolan-hater, I have nothing to say to them. I still consider his trilogy definitive (yes, even TDKR, even though I think it's the weakest of the three). I've argued in the past that Bale was a great Batman and a great Bruce Wayne, and I still hold to that today. It's more accurate to call me a Nonlan-fanboy.

Doesn't mean I can't recognize the flaws, nor does it mean I can't prefer the Batfleck suit.

ETA:

Actually... I'm curious how the TDK/R Hot Toys figure matches up to the BB Hot Toys figure... hm...

Hot Toys figures juxtaposed

this isn't even a fair contest haha

its nice to have them side by side though just for the sake of comparison. the mouth opening on the Dark Knight suit always bothered me for being too small, wilkinson/snyder of course nailed it.

If we're being picky (of course we are) then I don't like the way it angles in toward his chin. Didn't like that on the Arkham suits either. I'd rather it just went straight/more squared off.

Good thing it isn't actually a contest.
But if it were a contest, and I'm not saying that it is, but if it was then Batfleck would totally win. After which everyone would realize that it wasn't actually a contest after all on the grounds that it wasn't a fair contest to begin with.

I don't believe you.

OK, it might be a stretch to say that every single person in the audience guffawed. But from what I heard, a large portion the crowd laughed at the end of the trailer. There was not a clap to be heard. Then again, I live in NYC and saw it with a bunch of hipsters (like myself) so it shouldn't be so surprising.

Glad to hear the music isn't from the score though, because it's a bad joke. I think it is a big component of why the whole thing plays like an SNL skit.

I'm not pre-hating on the upcoming movie; just the trailer. Still holding out a lot of hope that this is going to be great. But that trailer was, to me, a gut punch (I recognize that I'm in the minority on this forum) after a lot of anticipation...

You're not in the minority; most on here acknowledge the sub-par quality of that trailer (I being one of them). But despite the poor use of music and editing, the content of the trailer is still pretty great and, overall, the trailer is mediocre at worst. It is certainly not laughably bad. In fact, I think it's fair to say that it's on par with most big budget movie trailers, Marvel included. That said, especially after the amazing comic-con trailer, it left much to be desired. I definitely don't think that it represents the tone of the movie, though. It was clearly aimed at more casual film goers (who seemed to really like the trailer).

A really nice clear shot I came across on the Interwebs..

I think the Fleck toy has its cowl mouth opening a bit narrower / more angled than the real thing.

Honestly this comparison stuff really doesn't go far. Some people simply prefer the movie suits like the TDK ones. Not everyone feels the best outfit is the one from the comics.

And yet, I think there's arguments to be made for realism purposes as well.
Who can move fast with 30 pounds of armor encasing them?

That was my argument. it would be better for Batman to be fast and agile than slow and heavily armored. Some might argue (and have) that "That's stupid, he can't outrun a bullet", true, but he doesn't have to be, all he needs is to be moving faster than the guy shooting at him can aim properly. That's why running in a random zig-zag pattern is supposed to be an effective counter to being shot at.

I think we've gotten plenty. What exactly do you mean?
