I'm getting a little worried about all the groaning noises later here :funny:

It looks amazing. And I'm so glad they went with the grey rather than yet another completely black suit, it adds more texture and IMO accentuates his size.

Agreed and I'll be honest I never thought the grey would work. So glad to be wrong!

It's insane how organic looking this cowl is:

He truly appears as a monster.

I missed this. Where is this from? A new TV spot? :hmr:

Edit: Never mind. Got it.

Yes! The suit, the facial expressions, the voice. Everything screams Batman. Zack Snyder and Ben Affleck are going to give us the perfect Caped Crusader.

Wolf, organic is the right word. He doesn't look like a guy in a suit in these shots. He looks as one. The rumored nickname "The Gotham Demon" seems more obvious now more than ever. Everything this suit is supposed to translate to the criminal underbelly of that city is told in just a few frames. Affleck seems to know the cowl well, and perfectly knows when he can express something himself and when the suit can do it for him.

Yeah, exactly! That's what I was trying to convey. When it comes to the cowl, all those soft lines they went for instead of sharper ones like on Keaton's and Bale's respective cowls, cheeks on it, inclusion of upper eyelids and omission of any lines that usually give the cowl a more techy look, result in cowl becoming one with the lower face and giving him an appearance of a demon or monster of a kind.

Same goes for the suit itself, its material and simplicity of design make it look like a skin, as Matt already said.

And yeah, I'd say that Affleck knows how to make that suit work. He'll only get better with it in future films.

The suit is gorgeous. It really doesn't look like a suit, but skin/flesh. It reminds me of the lycans in Underworld.

It's a great suit for sure. It's all on Affleck's performance now.

Let's hope he brings it. I didn't like the voice to be honest, too mechanic and deep like Jigsaw from Saw series and i find his mannerism so regular so far. But it's so small size of material revealed to judge his Batman, and also in movie it might work better.

Visually this is the best Batman we got without a doubt. But i guess everybody was expecting that due to actors chin & size and Snyder & Wilkinson.

This was posted earlier in the Fleck thread. Perfection.

This is the best look at Batman so far because he looks like concept art fully realized.

Maybe people will start getting his stocky build and not call him fat but I doubt it.

The musculature doesn't look over the top there. The suit is a 10/10 for me.

I hate the Batsymbol and not completely sold on the voice but everything else is perfect and by far visually the best Batman on film and I have no doubt that Affleck will give the best performance as both Bruce and Batman.

I felt this since day 1 but the new spots confirm it for me.

Best live action Batman costume I've ever seen, it's gorgeous.

The black looks really dark in the film, it seems.

He looks like a gargoyle that would blend perfectly in the shadows.

OK everyone, this is total nitpicking and I hate to spoil the general enthusiasm, which I share. But I just feel the need to say it: I think the way the mask pushes in on Affleck's face makes his mouth area appear a little pudgy in some scenes.

It's not a big deal or anything, I'm just a little surprised. Affleck has a strong, chiseled, square jaw and is in great shape. Wilkinson is a genius costume designer, probably the best in the biz. And as shown in the pics above, the costume is a work of beauty overall, arguably (?) the greatest Batsuit ever. But the combination of the effect on Affleck's face in some scenes and the excessive padding (I know Snyder was going for the TDKR look, but I think they went a bit too far) is inevitably starting to provoke the odd "Fatman" comments, which is a shame.

So Batman being like a horror villain aesthetically is a BAD THING?! :loco:
