*must throw away my brown suit yellow shirt that I thought got the ladies.

Ill take any outfit as long as it's not Zur-En-Arrh. :o

could the darker parts of the suit be like some sort of pearlescent gray-ish blue that looks blue in lighter scenes and black in the dark? like how ninjas don't actually wear black because that'd make them stand out

That's exactly what I have long wished for, and what I feel Batman's colour scheme was meant to represent.

Has anyone brought up the idea of Bruce having multiple suits? Sorta the way Tony had in IM3, Bruce should have a plethora of suits to his disposal right??? Batman is always prepared for anything... I never understood how no Batman movie to date has given us that. I would love a scene where Bruce walks into the cave and walks by a "trophy room" where we could see the Blue&Grey, the Dark Knight, Mk. I - Current etc.

This was done in Batman Forever and Batman & Robin. It's a nice trick for selling more toys, but ultimately, unnecessary to the story/character.

The trunks can be done for fan service while having a practical purpose in the film as a harness utility for holding his belt in place. I threw together a quick manip. While this is not a professional result, it illustrates the point. To me the new 52 trunkless costumes just look like long pijamas that need something to break the monotone color. Even the MOS trunkless design that so many are praising didn't work for me.

In the end, there is so much talk about an element which will be covered in shadows most of the time and we will only get a glimpse of it.

I tend to speculate Superman and his supersuit may have a bigger impact on batman than we might expect. I mean it's a suit made of alien technology and Batman and Waynes corp would surely want in on that. Does anyone think possibly Batman's suit may possibly be built from retro-engineered versions or his own version trying to recreate kryptonian technology that lends to a totally different but parallel tech evolution? Like a suit that Bat wears that functions much like supe's in terms of protection and such but with other modifications to better fit his human limitations?

Kinda like how the asgardian technology/tesseract in marvel universe had repercussions in the marvel world.

See now... that just looks like a nappy.

Yeah sure it might look like a nappy. So what? Do you really think the general moviegoer will start loughing seeing that in a film? It will be barely get noticed. It's just a fictional movie where respect for the classic iconography should be the main goal.

Supposedly a lack of respect for such classic iconography didn't affect Man of Steel. And if Superman can lose his trunks... Batman most certainly can.

After all he hasn't worn trunks in live action since the Adam West days and now that they've been phased out of the comics, I think it's best it stay that way.

I have nothing against trunks on Batman, but if Snyder couldn't find a way to make it work for Superman, he probably won't find a way to make it work for Batman.

All due respect to a fellow maniper, but I just don't get this. It looks like Batman is wearing suspenders and a black girdle. That sounds really rude and I apologize for that.

I don't know who you are but i will find you and i will make you wear that suit !!

Was it really?? ... geesh, it's been a while since I've seen it but on that, to say it is unnecessary to the story/character may be true to some extent but let me argue how it is important - this Batman has already been described as "seasoned". Having his first Mk.I suit mixed in with some others would be a nice subtle bone to the fans similar to the way the Iron Man suits were used in IM3 to show how far Tony has come in being Iron Man. PLUS seeing the Adam West blue and grey or Christians' DK suit (at least Zach's version of those suits if not the real things) would be the greatest show of respect/honor to all those who have brought us a different version of the character that overall led us to where we are now... That being a 'Worlds Finest' and soon Justice League movie; something only fanboys could dream of until now. Along with all that, when Bats & Supes throw down, whichever suit Bruce has been using to date will not hold up against Kal El's pinkey! When he up and changes or modifies his suit, I think it's more believable when we already got a glimpse of the modifications he has done from what he first started out with fighting street thugs to fighting a super human alien. Just my two cents. Thoughts?

Well then let's take out either the harness utlility or the trunks so it looks only like one of those you mentioned :awesome:
No need to apologize. Personally, no matter what, I will always advocate trunks and cloth fabric in the costume and with a multi million franchise you can surely achieve a professional look that pays respect to the hero.

It's the hipster Batman. He passes up on a Batmobile, in favor of his fixie and vinyl collection.

It's the Hipster look. Everybody is doing it.

Are we just thinking alike, or are you mocking me in other threads, too?
