kind thinking out side the box here... but, would anyone consider the idea of the mask part of the cowl being made up of prosthetics and make up
(like instead of a solid mask) actually make it so he can show some expression and rang of moment in his face

thats like the main difference from the movies, and the comics/cartoon the way hes drawn the mask moves with his facial expression

I think that's totally doable. Might even be possible with just a really soft rubber cowl, not necessarily needing to be glued on.

I like the animalistic nature of that cowl, but not the large eye openings.

I'm sure that's like that for the same reason that all the other movie cowls had similar large eye openings, so the actor's vision wouldn't be restricted, and I'm sure the idea is that same , to use black makeup to compensate. It's a practical consideration more than anything.

This is damn awesome.
My only problem with it is the neck and shoulders. I never understand why people make that one piece.
Also, this is the fan-designed cowl that Lee Bermejo actually bases his version on (i.e. Bermejo didn't actually design the version he currently draws):

The guy who made that is doing a two-piece version but the face sculpt is different ( much sharper and more angular) and I don't like it as much.

I have always wondered if they could do the cowl separate from the neck like tdk(r) but keep the gigantic awesome neck of begins.

Still very nice to look at though. The one on the right is a little bit del toro looking. Do you have a link to this guys work?

I am just getting into sculpting again and I think i have worked out what i want to sculpt.

I'd say so. It couldn't be quite as huge but you could probably do a thicker neck if you wanted.

The one on the right is so pretty.:atp:

Good to know. Which brings me to my next question: why on earth wouldn't Nolan n team pick a thicker neck piece instead of the weird neck..thing.. ?

I'd wager 6-7 months, but that's just me.

When was the first time we saw an official shot of Cavill in the Supers costume?

That's great if Batman is trying to look like an angry black man.

I prefer the one on the left, but we could do better than both.

They could pull off a thick neck I think. If the gave him a thick "turtleneck" schouldergard and the cowl is worn as a helmet over it. Almost like TDK but without a neck piece that stands out. I'm also hoping for a prosthetics cowl. This way his head would look smaller adding to his frame.

That seems way too long. Probably slightly before they start filming Afflecks scenes. WB is going to want to be the first to release the image of Batman instead of a fan/paparazzo on location picture.

I just like to temper my expectations. It allows me to be suprised.

Wow, I really love this. Very expressive and impressive design. I particularly love the indentations on the side of the head. The eyeholes seem a bit wide and could be modified to be a bit smaller, but they might look great with the proper black eye paint effect.
