That seems way too long. Probably slightly before they start filming Afflecks scenes. WB is going to want to be the first to release the image of Batman instead of a fan/paparazzo on location picture.

They released a shot because just the next day they began shooting outdoor scenes so the entire world would see the suit first in the crappy paparazzi photos. So they just released one still and got done with it.

So I'd wager, just before the day Affleck is filming in the suit outdoors, the studio will release the official first look.

On that topic, is it odd that I sometimes lapse into thinking of posters looking like their celebrity avatars?

After TDk and TDKR, I don't see how anyone can take a Batsuit seriously without some way to make the neck moveable. The sculpted cowls with a large leather/rubber neck area just make so little sense.

Yeah that's my dislike too. I'm tired of this rubbery look the cowl always has. Let's try different materials for once that are more natural fitting and lighter to wear. The above sculpted cowl is a fine piece of work for sure but, I find the whole expressions like the brow area and the eye holes a bit exargerated to the point of being distracting and cartoony.

Speaking of which, to me the Begins cowl had the best sculpted expression.

That's actually the first time where I would agree that the "underpants look" actually works. He would need that area to be flexible for mobility while the rest is armored. Wasn't the "harness look" used on some artwork as well? I'm thinking with the "ultimate batman" years ago.

i was totally against the trunks but i think that would work.

I have to say I really love that cowl posted above that supposedly inspired Berejmo's work, with a smaller mouth opening and eyes it'd be very close to what I'd like to see in the new cowl.

I know a lot of you have a lot of love for the Arkham style cowls, and while I do like some aspects of them I really don't want to see anything like that for this movie.
