Again, that's faulty logic. Y'all can repeat that statement as many times as you want, it still makes no more sense than the first time.

I will keep repeating it. No trunks should be a motto for this production team! :oldrazz:

People keep using this antiquadated idea of the "geeks" and "nerd" not influincing the public but that's just flat out wrong. Those geeks and nerds are some of the biggest faciliators and fire spreaders of modern social media (Twitter, blogs, entertainment sites, Facebook, tumblr,) that directly affects "old" school media like late night talk shows, mainstream news outlets and so forth who's target audience is the so called "GA".

This isn't 1995.

That's not me trying to say that trunks don't work personally, as I think it can work but that's neither here or there. My point is that the fanatical are called fans for a reason and with the tools of this age they can perpetuate and influence minor to major elements of any given film that is fueled largely by a "fanbase" by riling others towards their goal.

perfectly stated, we have more influence then most people give us credit for. Amazingly its actually cool to b a geek theses days.

Doesnt any abody remember the day of posters literally campaigning for christian bale back n the day or henry cavill for pretty much the last eight years. Cuz both amazingly panned out, that is not s coincidence.

I think they should go for a batsuit similar to this. Observe the differences between Superman's suit and Batman's suit. Batman clearly has more protection and more padding than Superman, but the material isn't too bulky or too detailed.

Is it just me or does that Bat emblem look a lot like the one used in the Superman/Batman they showed at comiccon?

man, were they prepping for cavill being shorter then some of the heroes cast in that drawing or what? everybody's taller then him in that picture.

Ha, I didn't notice that.

I'm not even sure that's an official YJ pic anyway. It looks like a manip to me.

I liked it when they had WW noticeably taller than any of the men in the JLA, I think it was in New Frontier ? After all, she is supposed to be an Amazon, which, in some versions of the Greek mythos were taller than the average male.

Yeah, she was taller in New Frontier.

Since YJ was based on some of the same designs as the Crisis DTV, this is more reflective of their heights...

No suit should have trunks, they look stupid, and serve no purpose.

Sometimes, it seems like some people say things like this just to upset Bathead. Can't wait for his response!

I don't say that just for a reaction, they just make no sense at all, other than appeasing fanboys. That life size Alex Ross Superman looks ridiculous. The size of him, the hair, and the suit look exactly like a comic book, but it just looks silly in real life.

Batman looks way too short in that shot.

Gee, I don't know what you could possibly be talking 'bout

The problem is that people like Bathead have spent literally years patiently laying out cogent and reasonable arguments for why the trunks could be made to work- arguments that have over the years developed a notable degree of nuance and insight- but still, several times a week, some random blunders into the thread and proclaims-

"Dey can't do du underpants dere stoopid!!1"

And then a few more chime in with,

"Yer, yer, du patnies our ****@!!!"

And the Hype loses a few more of its remaining braincells.

A man dressing up as a bat sounds like it would be silly but looks good on screen because you've seen it so you can't say the trunks would look silly because it's never been done.

Yup, and we are provided with endless entertainment.

Nuance and insight? You just want to complain because the character isn't exactly how you wanted him. If you want your Batman or Superman to have bright blue or red underpants on, why don't you go and read a comic? You may as well because, no film will ever live up to the insanely high standards of the comic-geek community. You should be happy that someone decides to make these films at all.

A man dressing up as a bat sounds like it would be silly but looks good on screen because you've seen it so you can't say the trunks would look silly because it's never been done.

Why would anyone ever need to wear trunks on the outside of their pants? Batman Begins did a good job at explaining why he's dressed like a bat, and Man Of Steel explains where Superman's suit comes from - much better than his Earth mother making it for him. Those are actual reasons which at least make some sense in a stupidly unrealistic universe. Things like that give films some credibility.
