BvS The Batsuit Thread - Part 8

In creating Batfleck's outfit, I would go down the 'less is more' route.

Yea i hope they take this route aswell, im sorry but i cant stand TDK batsuits there just too busy . One thing that i would take from those suits are the cape and separating the cowl from the neck piece. Has anyone heard about the designers implementing that function. If there straying away from the rubber/kelvar design it will be interesting to see how it works out on the newer suit. Surely that would be up there list of priorites.

Something like this?

Hiring Drew Struzan for the main poster for this would be incredible. Can you guys imagine that?

God yes. In fact, hiring Struzan to do any poster is pretty much incredible - any time I see a piece of his work I just have to stare at it in awe. To be honest, I dont like the way traditional movie artwork/posters have largely been replaced by over-elaborate photoshop pieces.

Yeah, I prefer the painted look. Besides, FANS have been making better posters with less photo elements to work from.

Speaking of which, the MONDO posters were better than any of the film ones for MOS.

I did a drawing actually with the separated cowl you mention and with a close resemblance to the comic book costume. I am not very pleased with the result, but at least it contains my favourite elements of an ideal bat suit. Box like briefs with harness to keep his belt in place, a dark blue and grey with a strong mesh fabric for protection and a big black bat.

Nice, Alex Spider is back on the thread! Your suit manips have been the best of the lot.

I'm not totally nuts about that sketch, but it's still pretty cool! I too think there have to be harnesses built in.

This is my favorite of all the manips so far, and it's my favorite of yours as well.

Alex - would you be willing to try a manip based on some of the Jae Lee/R Grampa suits?

Τhank you for the positive feedback . I am glad we share the same ideas about the bat suit. Yeah, this is also a favourite manip of mine, I think it has a very proper cinematic feel and stands good in light without feeling too much fan made.

Yeah sure, I might give it a try.

What are peoples opinions on this?

Apart from the fact that I think it's been based on a Space Marine. The mask is terrifying haha

This is sweet. I love the idea of his mask being full faced, leaving it open makes little sense and this is way more frightening.

Well probably get a Jim lee variant tho, which is still good news IMO.

Ya because people aren't entitled to opinions or should be allowed to enjoy seeing a new take on the character every once and awhile.... Oh fanboys and their entitlement.

Entitlement? That has nothing to do with...oh, nevermind.

Drew retired, even denied doing the new SW trilogy... So good luck with that.

How about a Jock/Mondo official poster, or someone from the comics like Nygyun, Ross, etc? That be cooler and more in line with this film.

I was speaking more to regwecs sense of "oh ya, those people" attitude he famously parades. The poster asked for people's thoughts on it and I gave mine. Let's leave it at that.

While I previously wasn't a fan of Bermejo's batsuit, it looks pretty decent in this drawing. Especially the bodysuit. I think that's a fine look for WW as well.

Damn that's freaking sick. I honestly wouldn't be surprised in the least if it looks along the lines of that.

Sweet job man.

I think there needs to be a serious balance between what makes sense and what looks like the character.

I love the bermejo suit, its design is both very practical and would appear very animalistic in the shadows. I just wish he didn't draw him in a scowl 100% of the time, haha. I still don't know what he looks like as the classic stoic batman in that suit.

I would be totally satisfied if we got something similar to either of Alex Spider's suit designs, I love them both.

Batman is going to be in a world with a Super strong alien that can fly and a magical Amazon princess, I'm just not that concerned with suit realism thing once that stuff is introduced. The character is in pure sci fi land at that point so say he is wearing some made up advanced armor that doesn't look bulky and we are good to go.
