It isn't official, but the artwork was created by Steve Scott, one of DC comics illustrators who also worked on the Dark Knight. Thoughts?

Yes, it's pretty much a generic Batman, but like with all artists who draw Batman, there is a certain style and a number of details, like the style of the insignia and the ear-bumps on the cowl, indicators that most people recognize as belonging to a particular artist.

I'd be struck dead with joy if they gave us this color scheme. It's just so visually appealing.

It's not exactly "fake". It's a fun piece of fan-art (by a professional artist) that was originally presented as such. He wasn't trying to fool anyone when he did it.

It'd be interesting for sure, and I'm not automatically against it, but it'd definitely depend on the style and tone of the movie. I'm definitely not saying it wouldn't work - in the right kind of movie.

I can't imagine the Snyder who made Superman's blue so dark would go so light on Batman though, no way.

The light(er) blue and grey would be a bit too jarring, especially if Batman's whole look is about stealth. I'd be fine with the iconic dark blue-grey though (black-grey more so).

I think Batman's palette has been deliberately lightened there to contrast with Catwoman. The colours on the statue posted earlier were preferable.

Incidentally, Catwoman's costume looks fantastic. I still don't understand why Nolan shunned it.

True enough, but some people (not the artist) did try to present it as real.

I don't see how she still couldn't be called Catwoman because of that fact.

Did it bother you that Scarecrow was always called Crane when spoken to by Bruce and Gordon? Or that Harvey was only ever referred to as Harvey or Dent after being scarred?

If everyone she speaks to knows her name, they're likely to use her name. That's why Alfred doesn't call Bruce Batman, he just refers to it as an alter ego.

I think Lench's point is that there is no distinct persona attached to Selina's goggles and jumpsuit. They are just her work clothes.

Or why he didn't have the Batsuit overhauled, or that he made Batman have a REALLY short crimefighting career. Or had him kill about two people each movie while saying that killing is wrong

Im watching a video of the process of every batsuit. I must say, every batsuit has been really, really cool. Minus the nipples, even the B&R suits look cool.

I cannot wait to see this one.
