I would say this has some loose/bagginess to it. Can't say I noticed it during the movie at all. I think the suit is going to look quite fantastic once it's polished up for the final product!

David looks amazing and I believe the overall online reaction is a positive. Also, have to laugh, the trunks and David's gifts behind the trunks are getting a lot of buzz as well. Both Superman and Lois look cute together, with little background information to add.

As for Cavill. This is Hollywood, many actors and actresses have been bitten by the system, in that he is not special. The main reason he was probably cast aside was that he is a mediocre actor. He may have his adherents, but overall the general audience was not impressed. Also Gunn likes a happy, working set. Cavill seems to have a reputation for not being that kind of actor, some even say he is toxic, especially to female writers. I for one wish him no harm, but I am glad he is gone.

The last few pages of this thread took a turn with all the Snyder talk. Cavill's superman was done the second they decided to make a sequel and put batman in it. MoS was 11 years ago and bvs was 8 years ago. It's over and the only way it could have continued is if they committed to making a Superman sequel right after the justice league debacle.

You know what they decided to do instead, make a new iteration of batman. Then they doubled down after the momentum of the Snyder cut and said it was over. I'm just happy Gunn had the guts to do what was necessary. The GA rejected superman and batman in Snyder's universe, you cannot continue with that universe if your audience couldnt care less for it's two most popular characters.

Listen brother, I believe Man of Steel is the best Superman movie ever made and I liked the Snyder cut Justice league better then the first Avengers movie but even Snyder fans have to admit there is a reason WB suits cut Henry's role in half for BVS and they put Superman in the freezer for most of the Justice League movie. Henry Cavil was nut cutting it as Superman. For the DCU to succeed you need Superman front and center, not fourth to Batman, Aquaman, and Wonder Woman like he was in the Snyderverse.

I agree 100% that when it concerns the DC franchise as a whole, Superman needs to be front and center... I am hoping that James Gunn does that. Walter Hamada made a terrible mistake when he decided to put the Superman character to the sidelines. When he tried to bring Superman back in at the time of Black Adam, it was too little too late... having said all that, I still do wish the DCEU was completed the way that Snyder wanted it completed.

I think David Corenswet has a lot of potential.
If James Gunn puts Superman first in this franchise, there's a really good chance that the DCU will be a great success
