I knew it!
I just REALLY love Up Up and Away
I like that quote. It's reflective to Grant's approach to storytelling. You know a debate on here has reached the limits of ridiculousness when Eddie stops ****posting, gets serious, and drops a bomb of wisdom.

David's Ultraman and the first official pic is Ultraman. I'm rolling with that for sure lolThat’s exactly what I think is happening. They’ve bleached the brows so that’s their base look, and then they darken them with temp-makeup when he’s Supes because that’s easier than constantly lightening them.
Wow. Can’t blame Lois for missing it.

Friendly reminder that Morrison is nonbinary! Morrison and Moore are the most talented writers comics have ever produced. No one is perfect but Moore is to comics writing what Hendrix is to the guitar and Morrison is by some distance the best thing to ever happen to the DC universe. There are very, very few Grant Morrison takes that aren't 100% on the money.Look I love Morrison as much as the next guy...but lets not pretend he is some amazing guru the guy is completely nutso half the time depending on how often he microdosesPeople overuse his quotes almost as much as they overuse Alan Moore quotes...though Morrison is way saner than Moore is

I LOVE Red Hood and the OutlawsLack of eyebrows/increased browridge are a common element of Bizarro's appearance in the comics going back decades:

I usually think that you have good opinions, but I completely disagree. I’m not a fan of Morrison at all. Their writing is always very confusing.Friendly reminder that Morrison is nonbinary! Don't ever say I don't do anything for youI asked him for a Frozen Linkin Park Ending video for Pride Month and never got it!![]()

I would assume to impersonate him. If he spends his time usually walking around in a masked suit and that's not just for that scene to make filming easier, then good thing that guy who hates Superman has a Superman clone no one knows about who can go cause problems. Why would the clone be wearing Superman’s suit when it already has it’s *own* suit?
The clown is working for the US government, is seemingly a member of Stormwatch, and is highkey advertising that it’s a clone (with it’s Superman-inspired suit) to the public.I would assume to impersonate him. Hmmm... it's almost like he has a mask that guards his face while doing these government missions that would prevent the average person from knowing that he's a clone. Considering it's a pretty common trope for the bad guy to be a highly classified unidentified assailant in secret government agencies, I imagine that will be applicable here as well. The clown is working for the US government, is seemingly a member of Stormwatch, and is highkey advertising that it’s a clone (with it’s Superman-inspired suit) to the public.
How the heck would no one know about it?it doesn’t seem to be a secret at all
To ruin his reputation or whatever. It made sense in the animated film. Why would the clone be wearing Superman’s suit when it already has it’s *own* suit?
This is very true!Grant Morrison is a creative genius. Creative geniuses often flirt with a little esotericism and eccentricity. Do I always know what the f*** they’re talking about? No, but their creative insight and handle on the characters and storytelling is so strong that when I don’t, I can roll with it.![]()
Idk that just seems a little convoluted. And again, the dude’s “Ultraman” suit is very clearly obviously inspired by Superman’s, so it’s not exactly a secret to the people he’s working withHmmm... it's almost like he has a mask that guards his face while doing these government missions that would prevent the average person from knowing that he's a clone. In a world full of superheroes, why would anyone see one working for the government wearing just a generic looking one in all black, no cape, a completely different symbol, and I think to themselves "yeah underneath that mask is a clone of Superman"? What a crazy conclusion to jump to that would be.Idk that just seems a little convoluted. I think more likely, the clone is created in collaboration with the military as a Superman deterrent
We don't know the script. Perhaps after they arrest Superman, we get a new one? Perhaps he's out doing crime, to make Superman look bad? It's still very early. But if you have a Superman clone, it's most likely they have their own suit. Or even take an old one.Idk that just seems a little convoluted.
