That was also my thinking, him eventually changing up the Kingdom Come shield for the more traditional one we all know and love.
You guys might be onto something here
.. maybe at the end his friends/family/superhero friends gift him a custom made emblem, more inline with the classic S, to remind him of his earth heritage

I would be somewhat disappointed if the shield is the Kingdom Come \S/. I like the shield for the specific story it's used for, but not as a primary shield. I would like something that better registers as an S.

These things rarely ever come to fruition. If it's the KC shield, then that's it.

Good, simpler and more alien the better to reboot. The \S/ lately has been getting too fluid and styled.

Returns mangled it by not trying at all and MOS was trying too hard.

Where is the Perry White casting? It can't be a big secret they're keeping hidden, they're doing a table read, with Lois and Jimmy. What are you trying to do Gunn???

You see, Perry is cast but they're not announcing it because the character's working undercover for the CIA and will be killed within the first half hour.

Laurence Fishburne wasn't officially announced as Perry White for MOS until a day after principal photography started.

Graphically, the SR shield was actually quite standard/classic. But it was rendered in 3D. The MOS shield was a modified version of a 1941 design.

I like the idea you guys have tossed around about starting with a more alien S symbol, and moving to a more human S symbol.

Or could Gunn just be messing with everyone making them think that's the S they're going to use in the film?

So we’ve got Otis in the mix too. Can anyone ID that actor?

It's definitely going to be a very Lex-focused movie... I think people still expecting Brainiac will need to manage their expectations.

Also, David looks absolutely massive, even alongside Michael

Gotta admit, I’m a little worried that Otis is in the movie. I really, really don’t want a Donner-inspired Luthor. It was fine for its time but I don’t want Lex as a two-bit crook with a land grab scheme. I don’t think that’s what we’ll get but Otis and Miss Tessmacher both being there makes me a little concerned. Though at least Lex is (actually) bald this time so there’s that.

Betting they're more Nolan-styled versions... Craig's Bond level of henchman/Bond Girl.

Not full camp, but not full dire-Snyder.

Think Earle, Flass, Mr. Reese, Wuertz, Ramirez vibes meets Lex's co-conspirator/muscle and secretary.

I bet Otis in this is very Charlie/Curly [Peaky Blinders], and slightly James Wesley [Daredevil - show].

Tessmacher will be very evil-Moneypenny.

I'm willing to bet that Otis/Tessmacher in this movie will merely be a part of Luthor's inner circle within his business empire. I doubt they'll be the same hapless, hodgepodge group of misfits they were in the Donner movies.

If they're going to constantly borrow Luthor's henchmen from other media, I'd rather they had brought back Asabi, the turban wearing mute from Lois and Clark.

LMAO the Otis actor was on Outer Banks. So I guess the scoopers kinda got that one right after all! :hehe:
