Those shots and videos of David smiling and embracing those kids, is heart warming, and so Superman. David looks great.

Thank you for the "Superman stopping kid(s) from using the heat vision", that is/was a good laugh

Here is the issue. You seem to think that if someone isn't an outright villain, they aren't a villain at all.

Now read the social media post you posted. Look at Waller. Now tell me, in James Gunn's Suicide Squad. Is she a villain or not?
He's explicitly referencing the JLI comics in that post. I've read the JLI comics. Max Lord is not a villain.

At the risk of stifling conversation, can we all just agree to disagree before we spend another ten pages on this?

Everybody's points have been made. We don't know what Gunn's going to do with Lord in the DCU. Let's leave it at that.

I think Gunn and Nathan hit the look off Guy Gardener perfectly. Remember these are not official photos so the fit and look of the costumes will look different in the movie theater. The white green latern suit is an interesting choice. Right up Guy’s alley.

I had a vision of hawk girl in a tighter fitting suit but let’s see what the wings look like.

Do you think that means it's the only influence for the character? Do you think that because Gunn has mentioned All Star Superman, that Superman will be directly the same character from that book?

He compares him to Waller for a reason. Because he sees him as part good, part evil.

The point I was making was that the whole "OMAC villain Maxwell Lord" is not James Gunn's preferred take on the character and therefore there's no reason to think he's gonna go for that.
Even “good Maxwell” is a sleazebag and Supes ain’t working for that guy.

Why did the White Ranger ditch the danger? :weeping:

And even if he's the best guy. Like Superman mrk 2. IT doesn't mean they'll work for him. The obvious answer is Clark's presence changes things.

Why they have logos on their gear, like they're playing in the Premier League. It "looks wrong" for a reason. Good guys don't throw their logos on superheroes.

No, I'm sorry, those costumes look terrible regardless of proper lighting or composition, like there's a clear difference of quality when comparing them to Superman's and Mr. Terrific's. The question is, is if this an intentional choice for them to don more classic looking outfits by the end due to Superman inspiring them or not.

I forgot that asshat Fillion was in this. Every time I try to get excited, something reminds me not to. :weeping:

It think it's definitely intentional, there's no way that this will be Hawkgirl's definitive look.

But even if it makes completely sense in context, that's still a terrible costume.

Kinda funny how everyone has jumped to these elaborate conclusions.

I don't think that logo is from Lordtech. I think it's either Terrifitech or something else. I believe it's two separate logos stacked on top of each other; Lordtech is already stylized.

The counter argument: Quitely & Sons does use that S logo.

What would be the DCU equivalent to Big Tech companies?

You made your decision of the suits off of illegal pictures. :whoops: :whoops:

It is the LordTech logo.

I guess going the satirical route by making LexCorp, Wayne Tech, etc. into parodies of Tesla, MS, Apple, and Google would have been too much? :o

Unless he's done a heel turn, I can't imagine Gunn has gone full corporate, at least in his writing. If Terrific is a good'en, why would he stamp his logo on his co-workers outfits?

Also personally, those uniforms are bad. and I think it's for a reason.
