Yea no problem. I just grabbed the time stamps for his quotes.

1:12 - Minor details about the 1st scene of the movie
2:39 - Tone of the movie
3:20 - Music
4:05 - Input from David Cornswett about including the trunks
5:07 - Lois & Clark relationship
5:58 - Gunn's view about who really knows Clark as a person
7:23 - Setup for future DC projects is not the main objective
8:03 - Success of Superman determining the future of the DCU
Thanks heaps! It's late here and I should sleep but I'll check it in the morning while running late for my appointment.

My biggest hope for this movie is for Superman to be relevant again to the masses. So many people have such an negative and false perception of the character. Sadly most don't read the source material. Everything they know about Superman, is just from what they've absorbed from his modern films. In this golden age of superhero cinema, the greatest one of them all, hasn't been done justice on the big screen.

A well reviewed and high audience score Superman movie would be big at the box office $700 world wide plus big but if it is just ok like Gladiator 2. It will probably make below $500 world wide. I think Superman is an all or nothing proposition for WB. The good news I think they believe in this movie more then any WB movie in recent memory.

It's a good poster, but let's not get carried away...
I dunno if it’s just 2024 talkin but this poster moved me.

And between the style of this poster, and having a trailer premiere, I’m glad to see that Gunn and WB are really trying to present this as not just being just another superhero film, but instead something special and ultra relevant. Like, it’s not just me right, this poster seems like a way bigger splash than a first poster from any other big budget project?

I really hope that continues and builds to the release date.

Before I was kinda worried that FF would steal Supes’ thunder, both of them reboots of classic heroes leaning into throwback territory, but I think the potentially weightier and timely core message of Supes may give it that extra appeal over another MCU entry (which more and more seem to leave audiences feeling like they’ve seen it all before no matter how unique the projects are).

So for the people who read the description, without spoiling anything, would you say you think it will be received positive from the audience?
It should. If it's accurate, it will hit right in the feels.
That said, I could prolly give a description and be damn close, just going by all we've seen and heard.
Example.

Opens with a slow guitar riff of the Williams theme.
We see a train. Fire and smoke surround the engine. It's going at high speed and apparently out of control. People are heard screaming.

( guitar riff gets louder ) We see superman flying down toward the train.

We see the DP, Clark, Lois, and jimmy.

We see Lex in Lex-Corp tower, from the back. Drink in hand. Its dark out. He looks out over "his" kingdom.
Lightning flashes, we see his reflection in the glass window..
Superman hovers just outside the window. They stare at each other. Lex throws his drink at the window, his glass shatters against it.

We see krypto and superman, sitting on the moon, looking toward earth. Krypto's tail wags as he looks up at superman.

We see clark on the farm in Smallville. Jonathan Kent is nearby, as is martha and krypto.

We see a huge explosion in metropolis. Superman is sent hurdling out of control, end over end. A man in black hovers nearby.

A girl falls from a bridge, superman catches her just above the water.

Superman and lois hover above the city, Looking in each other's eyes.

Cuts to black.
Emblem appears.
2025.

I probably have guessed at some of what will be in it.

A few more more details from the set visit. Most of this was covered in the other video but I'll post a few quotes on some other things.

Mister Terrific
“I love Mister Terrific,” Gunn said. “These characters all get their moment in the sun. They all have their moments. They’re not just cameos, these are the characters. They’re supporting cast, but Mister Terrific is the main character of those characters. He actually has a big part of the plot. And so that was fun.”

Lex
All-Star Superman… influenced me more than anything,” Gunn said. “Being able to take that sort of Silver Age feel, that sort of science fiction approach to it with gadgets, Lex is really a sort of sorcerer in a way. He’s a scientist, but he’s so good at science and I think of him as like a sorcerer.

Dropping Legacy from the title
“I thought maybe the title had a looking back feeling about it,” he said. “And this isn’t about looking back. This is about looking forward. So although when you see the movie you’ll understand where ‘Legacy’ comes from, because it is about Clark and his relationship to his Kryptonian parents and his relationship to his human parents and whose legacy is he really? And so it’s about that. But I think as a title it felt too ‘looking back.'”

I'm wondering if gunn will tease us again before the trailer hits. I wouldnt.be surprised if he does.

Kinda weird but "no universe building" sounds like music to my ears. A few years ago I would've been disappointed.
Gunn didn't say they're wouldn't be any universe building. Just that the each movie needs to stands alone and that he won't sacrifice quality just to have a setup for another project. Grabbing this quote from the video I posted.

I mean, maybe two little things, two moments. But basically if something's there just to setup something else, **** it. I even say that. And for all I know, those things can be cut by the time we get to the editing room because something has to exist for this movie. And if that works in tandem with setting up characters that exist in other media, then that's great B (Brandon the reporter). If this sets up stuff in Peacemaker, which it does, then that's great. But that is never ever ever, with me, going to be something that I'm going to sacrifice even for a moment or a beat in a story for, especially a movie.

Jumping right into the middle of a characters life isn't always that great to me and something i hated about Afflecks Batman. I want to see Clark first interactions w/Kara since it never been explored in live action apart from Smallville, etc....but maybe we'll see that in the SG film we'll see if it's good overall.

Yeah, I feel like the article title was a bit misleading bc it seems like Gunn and co. are actually doing a lot of universe-building, just not in such a way that you’ve got a gun to the audiences head saying “Don’t even think about tuning into _____ unless you’ve seen _____ first.”

I don’t think there’s much chance of this bearing a whole lot of resemblance to what they did with Batfleck. Skipping over the first year or two on the job and forgoing another round of reintroductions to characters we already know is a bit more sensible than skipping straight to Year Twenty.

Yeah, this seems more in line with Spider-Man in Civil War, as opposed to Batman in BvS.

Lex and Superman haven't even met each other yet, if I am reading what Gunn says about that correctly, so it seems like some things are already established and some things are still being established. And if we see Kara in this movie, I think there is a good chance that is going to be her introduction.

Yup.

I would say it's rather comparable to Batman '89 and The Batman.
