Plastic man, booster gold, or deadman seems like his sauce.
Why would you insult those characters? Booster Gold is funny Snyder humor sucks. Deadman has pathos...Snyder will just have him inhabit people cause it is cool.

Snyder is not right for this universe.

Still think Zack Snyder would deliver a solid Lobo movie. Also dang, lots of Frank Miller hate lol. I'm reading Born Again right now... I think his DD work is great, I also enjoy TDKR for what it is.

That picture of Hoult as Lex... he just looks perfect as Lex!

Let him do a movie where Batman adopts one of those mini starro face stars and turns him into a robin. That was fun.

If we going to hyperbole out the stadium certain comic book pieces, despite being recognized as fundamental to the genre, then let’s get nuts! The Dark Knight RETURNS has the best depiction of Superman!

I mean, Snyder doesn't need to get a job at DC at all. Lol call it day could just be "we don't want you to direct."

Both sides ain’t better either. They take some crumbs and go nuts. Tis’ just a picture of two friends. Sometimes a pic is just a pic. I don’t doubt he (zack) will be one to get a special screening/sneak peak beforehand tho, eh.

Oh without a doubt. I think Snyder could've even been meeting with WB themselves and just popped up on the homie. They have been some variation of co-workers/friends/etc for 20+ years. I can definitely see Snyder getting all kinds of insider info. Likely will be invited to whatever private screenings they do as well.

That's totally okay.

How so?
Because it turned Batman into an extension of a lot of comic fans inadequacies and made it cool to argue "who would win" with Superman which is stupid.

Ngl, I think Lex works better if he's older than Superman. I feel it adds a little to the inferiority complex. Whenever I see the great trailer shot of Lex watching Superman out the window, I'm like, this would sting Lex even more if he had spent decades being ego-stroked before Supes came along. But it'll be interesting to see how them being the same age affects the dynamics.

Yeah that’s a good point and I suppose Superman is the first guy who’s ever said no to Lex which must really boil his p**s

So the story itself didn't ruin Batman. Just like I thought.
Yes it did. Look at Batman comics before Frank Miller's Fever Dream Fascist Bruce and look at him after. Its completely different. The Post Crisis Batman became a complete tool who was unbeatable and trusted no one and treated even his closet friends and allies like jerks and criminals. DKR was not supposed to be the "definitive Batman" (just like Killing Joke was never supposed to be the definitive Joker) but it became the template for Batman going forward because critics loved it and fans wanted Antiheroes.

Honestly, I don't know why people like the story...especially fans of stories about heroes acting like heroes. That story is everything that is wrong about the following decade plus of comics. It is also what lead to the rise of film makers like Snyder who treat it like a genius treatise on the nature of heroism and why Batman is uber cool while actual heroes are lame. Frank Miller's Batman is not a hero...he is a loonbat incel who puts children in harms way without real training and thinks because he is super smart he is better than everyone else.

At least Alan Moore regrets the things that came about from The Killing Joke. (like doing Barbara Gordon dirty) Frank Miller doubles down on it.

Mark Waid is that you?

This is making me miss the "Those eyes look odd in that one shot" discussions...

On another note, I'm glad that someone previously pointed out how David's "S" emblem isn't just a straight light and that you could make out the lower part of the "S" on the bottom right corner. It really makes a big difference for me when looking at the emblem.
Anyone starting to think Jor-El isn't in this movie? Because Kurt Russell and his dimples could work there. :o
