His first appearance in the Batman comics means absolutely nothing as to whether or not he's a good villian...except that it is telling that he isn't in the comics that often for some reason.

Strange was dropped from the comics in late 1940 because DC was starting to clean up their stories. Very violent characters like Strange were dropped, the Joker was revamped from a killer, etc. He was bought back in the seventies when the Comics Code was relaxed a bit and Englehart used for him for "Strange Apparitions". He's an excellent character that would fit very well in Nolan's world. I'm sure that the character's name will be a nickname, and he'll have a more proper last name in the film(if he's used).

Once again, this should reaffirm that Jett and his site aren't even worth a mention on your site. Making someone the enemy - like he is doing to you - gives them too much status. Better to treat them like they don't exist, they're that beneath your notice.

My problem with the character would be a petty one admittedly, but I just think the character's name is too cartoonish and gimmicky to be taken seriously. Every time I picture Oldman or Bale utter the name "Hugo Strange" I crack up.

Also, I'm finding it hard to imagine a portrayal other than Hardy having to somewhat camp it up with a ridiculous accent.

There are people in real life with the last name Strange. And they could even pronounce it "STRAH-NJ", though I think that would be going to a silly extreme for the sake of "realism."

Jett is just like the old 35-40 year old, who still thinks he's cool driving his 1982 Firbird, with his Mullet haircut, and jean jacket.

He's just mad that his site still looks like a web page from 1997, and can't understand why people don't like it.

Yeah I'm excited! I'm very thankful to the sites that are running this story. You're right though, it probably is bugging Ad-man. I don't know if you saw my post earlier, but Batman-News.com links have been officially banned from the BOF forums.

As I've said before, this source is 2 for 2. That's why I'm running this 3rd rumor from them. I hope this makes them 3 for 3 soon! It would suck if the one rumor I publish turns out to be false...
