Feel free to use to spoiler tags, but what exactly happened to Captain Cold? Was it something on Legends?

"“He doesn’t know he’s a gorilla, he’s just getting through the day with the cards he was dealt.” -David Sobolov"

Whether it's series like The Flash or the world of animation, one of the most impressive (and under appreciated) stars of these genres are the voice actors who breathe characters like Grodd to life. Right before the season premiere of "Flashpoint", we had the chance to sit down with voice actor David Sobolov, who gave a lot of great insight into his Flash character and what makes Grodd tick. "There are so many different ways to be evil. When I did Shockwave [Transformers], his way of conveying evil was to have no emotion. If he killed you, he didn’t do it out of passion, he did it because you were in the way of what he was trying to do. Being unpredictable is what made him scary. Back to Grodd, he has a lot of anger, but he also has a lot of sadness. He was created in a lab, and he’s trying to discover his origin."

The coolest part though was David taking us through a typical production day on The Flash, and also how he's personally helping voice actors create their own demo reels. Check it out and find out where else Grodd & The Flash are heading this season! :yay:

So shouldn't the time wraiths have shown up by now to get Barry?

they would have if jay didn't stop barry. Barry was about to start doing that repeatedly after the guilt trip cisco gave him, about cisco's own older brother being killed and asked barry to use time travel to fix it all and barry's other guilt. a flood of wraith's would have likely happened/ be the result. if not for Jay .

God damn that scene with Jay was perfection

It was like a gentle spank.

He should have found himself back with Patty Spivot in this time line.

They should bring back Patty!
She has a more compelling storyline than Iris and certainly a better chemistry with Barry.

And since she's training for the same job as Barry, the possibility is left open for them to grab a hold of.

They should've had the time wraiths show up, only for Jay to rescue Barry at the last second and pull him out. Then the rest of the episode plays out exactly the same.

This. Otherwise what is really to stop him trying again other than Jay's pep talk?

Gosh, I really miss Patty.

I've never really been sad to see side characters leave a show, but I was really hit when she left. I just clicked with the Barry and Patty dynamic.

i think, for me, it was the sudden-ness of her going.... it felt like there was more for the character to do and then she was gone.

Yeah that's probably it Lee. She seemed like the best parts of the other female leads all mixed together.

She was in the pilot episode of Timeless, another time-travelling show with consequences for the present.

Along with Moira Queen. Watched the pilot, bored out my head (Despite both women appearing).

Oh wow, it was too!

I love the chick from Rectify - but not sure if the show will last very long.

I get the impression that time wraiths don't show up for every paradox, only sometimes. You have to roll badly on your "manipulate time" check, so to speak. Either that, or they mostly get drawn when you directly screw around with yourself in a past time, which Barry didn't this time ( he changed his past, yes, but he didn't interact with himself ). Note the only two times we've seen Time Wraiths show up, one of them involved Barry jumping into his own immediate past and interacting with his already-superpowered self a lot; the other involved a bunch of time remnants, and Zoom nearly blowing up the multiverse.

The knowledge that it won't work? Note that Jay wasn't just telling him "this is ethically bad", he was telling him why what he wanted to do was impossible. He can change the past as much as he wants, but he can't *fix* it, in the sense of putting it back exactly the way it was.

Patty was great. . . except for the arbitrary, idiotic "must keep secret" subplot, which existed solely to torpedo the romance, I surmise. Because the one thing the CW cannot tolerate is a stable, functional romance.
