The Incredible Hulk Theatrical Trailer Reaction Thread

No one in my town has ever reacted to a movie trailer.

Same here kind of. I never have people applauding or shouting out after a trailer in my cinema. Usually if a trailer is good there's alot of mumbling with people talking, if it's bad or just ok people don't usually say anything.

Dang! That's why I wished they woulda showed it with my viewing (I saw the Thu 8pm time), cuz people do react to that sorta thing (in my town).

Honestly, I think the lack of reaction doesn't spell doom by any means. Confusion sure by some, but people will be curious about it nevertheless, and if they find out about it and hear it's great, they'll go see it.

It won't technically be a full-fledged sleeper hit, but I can see it like the FIRST Bourne, where it got just a decent opening, but had long legs cuz of its good reviews and good word of mouth.

Same could happen here, and then just like Ultimatum became huge then next time around, same could happen with a sequel to this Hulk.

When they were showing the trailer, there was this girl who sounded like she was 3-4 years old, yelling, "I saw that! Right mommy?! I saw that one!" She repeated that twice, when the geekiest voice from the front shouted, "No you didnt! Its not even out yet!" It was hilarious. Especially when some other dude told him to shut up.

haha! That's a funny story.

hollywood reporter mentioned that reaction to TIH trailer was mainly positive according to some exit polls

Not surprising, the film itself doesn't look bad.

a grown man telling a small child to shut up? wow.

LoL!

You read the guy's post wrong. He said that the guy that yelled at the little girl, telling her that the film isn't out yet, was told to shut up by another person.

I commenting on how a grown geeky man would say anything like that to a young girl and her mom. Who does that? I wasn't commenting on the other guy who yelled at the nerd.

The general public doesn't give a hot dump about Hulk. Yes, they'll turn out to see it cause that's what people do on weekends....they go to the movies. I saw the trailer with IM and all I heard after the trailer finished was a little heavy sighing. The only people that care are the dorks, dweebs, spazzes and nerds (aka all of us). Within my group of friends I'm the only comic dork and none of them are "all excited" that a new Hulk is coming out. They don't have any idea whether or not it's connected to Ang's Hulk flick and they don't care. When it comes out some will go see it and some won't, but among regular folk there is no "buzz". We are the only people that wait with intense anticipation and pick apart every facet of information, every scrap of detail about the movie. Sorry folks, but no one else does this. Hulk will do just fine in the box office, but it won't get the run Spidey, XM, etc...did. Hopefully we will enjoy it and it will do just good enough at the box office and via DVD sales to have a sequel made.

This article puts hopes up for TIH

There's a growing sense that the "Iron Man" phenom might pique moviegoers' appetite for comic book adaptations, helping Universal succeed with its June 13 release of "The Incredible Hulk." Also, exit surveys show "Iron Man" patrons responded positively to the "Hulk" trailer shown with the Paramount film.

That's funny. I didn't detect a bit of sarcasm in this post.

Still I think that the Hulk will do better at the box office than most people are giving credit. I believe that the story and action will be really strong and the word will spread like wild fire. High hopes....maybe...maybe not with such a strong cast.

I still harp on the days back in the 70's when most of the trailers, had nothing to do with the movie. Many of them are still the classics of today. I do want more advertisement for the movie but I do like the fact that we haven't seen the movie played out with all the best parts in the trailers, as many movies of today do.

There seemed to be comments about him being scary or whatever. It felt positive, no moans or groans.

What do you all think of the bottling factory scene in Brazil? Where we see shadows and glimpses of Hulk that is meant to be scary and dark.

Judging by the trailer, Leterrier's direction for that scene looks amazing!

Honestly? I cannot get over how cool it looks to see his eyes glowing in the darkness and his hand reaching out and dragging back the Brazilian thug.

I agree, that scene looks like it's going to be thrilling.

And you guys see the parts where the soldiers are throwing grenades and in the explosions you see a sillohette of Hulk and when he is walking out of the mist you just see his arm.

I loved the part where the grenade went off and you saw Hulk's sillohette in the flames, that shot needs a wallpaper :woot:.

Just came back from my second Iron Man showing and people still seemed positive.
