Somwhat ironically, the only guy to have directly cited Lee & Kirby is the man whose own version of the FF (UFF) is clearly the basis for this effort.
Millar, seemingly replaced by Kinberg after daring to publicly cast doubt on how the castings of the Storms could work, said this early on:
"You can tell from Chronicle that it was a new way of looking at superheroes, and I think hes going to apply that same slightly skewed way of looking at heroes to the Fantastic Four, but do it in a way that feels incredibly reverential to the Kirby and Lee stuff,"
He also went on to say that for the Fantastic Four to work properly it really has to be done with the Lee and Kirby prospective.
Well, I have not seeing bugger all evidence of that being the case atm. This is far more UFF, and that's a whole different thing imo.
