Sounds good.

Any ideas on what would happen to the infant Kal-El after his landing?

He's found by J'onn and raised as his son to replace the family he lost. He is one of the top martian assasins.

I say, keep it up to SuperFerret to decide what happens to Kal... and keep in mind Bruce can be 40 years older than Kal... in this universe, ages don't need to match up...

But do you guys like my idea?

Sorry. I didn't have a very good midle school experiance, resulting in a constand need to know what others think of my acomplishments.

Wait. How old are you playing Bruce? Anything above 35 could be a problem.

Well, the invasion happens 30 years before Kal-El's coming, and Bruce's parents are killed in the initial invasion, so he must be at least thirty years older than Clark.

Why not say they were part of the resistance and were killed by J'onn?

J'onn's already booked until November. How many people do you want him to kill?

Plus, without Bruce there would be no resistance.

Jus two. And to have raised Kel-El as his son.

Timeline of the Martian Invasion as envisioned by me:
1941: The Justice Society is founded
1950: Birth of Hector Hall
1968: Birth of Bruce Wayne
1970: Coming of Kal-El and the invasion of Earth
1971: The Justice Society is officially disbanded
1976: Bruce's parents are killed
1981: Hawkman goes M.I.A.
1988: The Wayne Resistance forms, lead by Bruce Wayne. Hector Hall joins
2005: Arrival of the 'Multiversers'

The Martians could have used the meteor shower that came along with Kal as a distraction to invade Earth, taking humankind, and most notable the Justice Society by surprise.

That's just my view though.

AS Bat said earlier, Ill be an MRC. Let me know when this starts. and Whos story are we using? I know hardly anything about DC, I am glad that the characters are more of our creation here. :xmen:

We're using SuperFerret's story where the martians invaded earth ala War Of The Worlds, Bruce Wayne leads the resistance, and J'onn is a bad guy.

The Coming of Kal-El will figure largely into the actual gameplay.

Yeah... SuperFerret, you gonna be a mod in this game?

Oh, and for MRC's, it's gonna be Harlekin and Me vs. you... Midnight Ice can figure in on whichever side he wants...

So everybody okay with the timeline I made? Otherwise, the Martians would have invaded at the beginning of World War II, which means no Justice Society, and no Hector Hall.

I guess so. But my Hypertimeline doesn't have a Batman counterpart, and even then, Gotham's in Jersey. Kinda far away from anything I'd call "West."

West. Like California, or even Kansas. Wild West. Cowboy West. Sergio Leone West.

Oh. You meant the world your character is from. Well, we will be going to other dimensions.

Move the Coming of Kal-El to coincide with the Multiversers arrival and it's all good.

And for clarification, not every city on Earth has a completely mind-controlled population, just the major ones.

And as for Bruce's identity, since he won't be needing to spread fear as a bat, he should adopt a totem that inspires hope.

So we are dropping the raising Kal-El by Martians thing than.

So Jor-El ****ed up and delayed his rocket 30 years.

He returns to Oa for trial where he is found guilty of abuse of power. He is sentenced to duty on Oa for several years and remains there until years later when Katma Tui is found murdered by Guy Gardner Gardner has acquired a Qwardian Power Ring and is now on a mission to kill every Green Lantern in the galaxy. He destroys all the Lanterns but Kilowog and Hal Jordan when the Guardians turn to Sinestro. They offer him his ring back if he will help them in their time of need. Sinestro takes the ring and utters the oath that will once again change his life. He, Hal Jordan, and Alan Scott confront Guy Gardner and finally defeat him and imprison him into the Central Power Battery.

Sinestro is welcomed back to the Corp after the incident and is assigned to a new position of Special Operations. The Guardians decide that sometimes it takes a firmer hand in some instances and decide to use Sinestro in a more covert manner.

History: Years ago, the planet Korugar was visited by Green Lantern Jewelius Blak. She was to choose someone from the populace to train as a member of the Green Lantern Corps.
[GL2 # 222]

One of the citizens of Korugar saw the opportunity for greatness the Green Lantern presented. Sinestro modeled himself after the alien visitor and soon was her apprentice. Some time later, when Jewelius Blak was incapacitated, Sinestro was contacted by the Guardians of the Universe to become the active Green Lantern of Space Sector 1417. Now a full member of the Corps, he worked alongside such Green Lanterns as Eddore, Tomar-Re, Kilowog, Tomy Fai, and Salakk.

Sinestro frequently visited Oa, gaining wisdom from the Great Book of Oa, which told of the knowledge of Green Lanterns past, present, and future. He was a respected member of the Green Lantern Corps, considered by the Guardians to be a model of self-control. Sinestro had made his sector the most orderly in the universe. Unfortunately, the Guardians did not know the cost of that order to the people of Korugar.

On his homeworld, the power corrupted him. Over the years, Sinestro gave up any pretense of a secret identity and created a luxurious headquarters for himself. He set himself up as dictator, dissolving the High Council of Korugar. Korugarians would now plead for his favors. One Korugarian, Ki-Mon, was struck down by Sinestro for criticizing the Green Lantern. Even as ruler, Sinestro sought out knowledge that would help him further his goals.
[GL2 # 7]

Sinestro was on Oa during the rampage of Legion. He was one of the many Green Lanterns who sought to defend the Guardians from death at the hands of their enemy. The aftermath of the battle with Legion left seven Green Lanterns dead, and only one, Hal Jordan of Earth, to replace the loss. Kilowog was chosen by the Guardians to seek out new recruits. There was still a need for a trainer for Hal Jordan, so the Guardians assigned Sinestro to the task.
[GLED # 4-6, GLED2 # 1]

Sinestro protected his people by isolating them from the galaxy. Any invading forces were mercilessly attacked and driven off. He forbade Korugar space travel, preferring to keep the population under control on their homeworld. If he could have, Sinestro would have closed off his entire sector to the rest of the universe.

Returning to Korugar meant the populace would stand in celebration of their Green Lantern. Flags and banners draped the sides of buildings. Music heralded his approach. He had further entrenched his presence in society by starting a "Young Lantern Brigade" comprised of the youth of Korugar who would report directly to him. He was greeted by Katma Tui, the model student of his Young Lantern Brigade. Sinestro's calm demeanor soon changed when he stepped on a piece of litter on the grandstand. Before he could lash out at the frightened populace he was summoned to Oa.

The Korugarian Green Lantern had wanted to stay on his world to deal with the disruption of order, but the Guardians had a task for him. He was to train the Green Lantern of Space Sector 2814. Sinestro objected, he did not want to leave his sector for any length of time. Without his guidance, chaos would result. Still, the Guardians had to be obeyed.

Sinestro travelled to Earth to begin Jordan's training. He found the new Green Lantern in prison, serving a ninety day sentence for a DWI incident which occurred prior to Jordan's induction into the Corps. The conditions appalled the Korugarian. Sinestro believed his training duties would be harder than he had imagined.
[GLED2 # 1]

The two were assigned to Space Sector 131 to dissuade Khund, Dominion, and Citadel representatives from forging an alliance which would monopolize interstellar trading. Despite Sinestro's attempt at diplomacy, the Green Lanterns' interference was not appreciated by the gathered races and hostilities soon broke out. While defending Jordan, Sinestro was blindsided by the Khunds and almost killed by a Dominator. Though he was saved by Jordan, Sinestro was still angered at the rookie's lack of control. With a final warning to the would-be alliance, the Green Lanterns departed. The Khunds swore to exact vengeance on the Korugarian Green Lantern. Their Alien Alliance would have to be formed another day, beyond the reach of the Green Lantern Corps. The Khunds however, would not wait long to strike at Sinestro. Working with Katma Tui, they supplied weapons to the people of Korugar.
[GLED2 # 2]

Jordan's life was divided between his training with Sinestro and his time in prison. Although he was exhausted by this dual life, Jordan grew in his capabilities as a Green Lantern. Still, Sinestro felt frustration at his young charge. Sinestro believed the Guardians had recognized his superiority by assigning Jordan to him. He had tried to mold Jordan in his own image, even by altering his costume.

After Korugar failed to respond to three of Sinestro's periodic message beacons, he decided to take Jordan to investigate.

Skills: Access to the Great Books of Oa. So alot.

Powers (comparative to main DC Universe characters): Carries the most powerful weapon in the universe that brings to life whatever he can imagine. His only limitation is his will. Since Parallax is still in the Central Power Battery with Guy Gardner, the ring still has the weakness to yellow.

Hero, anti-hero, villain?: Anti Hero. Still not trusted in most circles. But respected.

So whatta ya think? Good call?

He could still adopt the matle of The Bat. In many cultures, the bat is a symbol of virtue and nobility. Just change the way he looks at it.

Franklin Richards, what exactly's different about your Sinestro? I mean, is he just good and that's all?

Oh, and I have ideas about the first arc, but the Chosen, tell me if you're character is expendable. That is, that they can die...

My character looks like, he does more or less look like The Joker from "The Batman":

Except he has shoes, a purple trench coat over his regular jacket, and a cain with a jester head for the handle.
