If need be, I could always re-write Savitar to be back as his old, ruthless self. Course, if the heroes didn't have any true speedsters (ones with a direct link to the Speed Force, so Savitar would not be able to steal their speed), they'd be pretty ****ed.

Ok,listen here, this is how it goes down:

MRC's are the mission related characters... once given the mission info, if you wanna play an MRC (hero OR villain, MAINLY VILLAIN though), you create the charcter based of the timleine given. MRC's are USUALLY scrapped after each mission, or may go to become a Chosen... Chosen's are not scrapped until a long time, or until the Gamemaster says so... they are reused, mission after mission...

For the MRC's, we'd need a main antagonist, based off the mission statement...

Also, any ideas for a first mission?

I don't think I'm gonna start as Terry McGuiness... I'll start as an MRC, and keep Terry for a couple mission's later...

How about a world where Batman went psycho nutso about justice and order. He never had Leslie Thomson or the same teachers to show him the way of compation and the sanctity of life. He essentially became a very very inteligent Punisher, going crazyer and crazyer until he finally snaped, stormed city hall, took over the city, and suceeded Gotham from the US. Now he rules over Gotham in a very Dr. Doom like fasion and has started takeing over other cities. At this point all of New Jersey and parts of New York are part of the Gotham Empire.

Is he like Flash, where he can turn his speed on and off, or liek Quicksilver, where he's normal speed stuck in a slowmo world?

A world in which Superman had been raised by a militant group in Kansas, and had as an adult used his powers to try and conquer the US. He is now the supreme ruler of a good chunk of the country, and has The Flash, Martian Manhunter, Aquaman, The Atom, and several other Justice League members as his mind controlled slaves.

Savitar is like the Flash. When Savitar was first introduced he had a greater knowledge and control of the Speed Force than Wally. In other words, he knew more tricks.

But, there is resistance.
After his parents were killed by Martian Enforcers, Bruce Wayne vowed to repel the aliens from the planet, even if he had to kill everyone of them himself. He gathered many others who shared his anti-Martian outlook around him and started a rebellion, protecting their minds with special anti-telepathic equipment. Thus, the Martian Imperial Command started the Human-Hunter program.
They took their best soldiers and trained them specifically to hunt and eradicate the human rebels. The best of these, and their leader, is J'onn J'onnz. He has come into contact with Wayne on many an occasion, the latest encounter resulting in the loss of J'onn's right eye. J'onnz has vowed revenge.

I won't be joining this, but you guys should be thinking of the alternate worlds BEFORE making the characters. Why? Because it allows for those people that won't be part of the five to come up with characters that are consistant with each other. Example:Nazi Earth. Germany won WWII thanks to Hitler having the Spear of Destiny and erradicating most of the heroes of that era. This is actually somewhat in continuity since Hitler DID have the Spear of Destiny in the comics as an explanation to why the JSA didn't go over there and beat the Nazi's.

The possiblities are endless, true. Most Elseworlds (if not all) have a common theme for that reality or Earth. But you're right, there's no need for consistency; this can be all random stuff.

Good point, here are some more:

-A alternate universe where human civilization hasn't passed the technological level of the Bronze Age.

-A world where Brainiac has assimilated most of Earth ala the Borg.

-A world where Dinosaurs didn't go extinct and are now a part of everyday life.

-The real world.

I could sign up as mission-related character for one mission, sure, but not as someone on the team, either as a bad-guy or an ally. Just set a reality for the first mission, and I'll see what I come up with.

I can play him as a villain if need be; I just wanted to try him out as a hero is all, since it seemed that the heroes would need a heavy hitter on their side.
Only problem with the villain thing is that, without a speedster with a direct link to the Speed Force, Savitar would be damn near impossible to beat. That is another reason why I originally intended to go the hero route.

And, as Trop said, he's like the Flash only much more learned in the ways of the Speed Force.
