Universe History (give a brief description of the comic universe your character hails from/If you copy/paste this information from another website, link back to it, or it is considered plagiarism and is not allowed):

All-World is divided into three regions; In-World, Mid-World, and End-World. The geography is widely varied. It includes deserts, mountains, rolling plains and vast wastelands. All-World is said to have "moved on." This seems to mean that where there was once great order there is now little if any. For example: the sun does not always rise in the correct place, and at times it will not even cross the sky in an entire day; the compass directions themselves are at drift, what is East today, could be Southeast next week, and next year may be full-on South. According to Blaine the Mono, a talking monorail that functioned throughout Mid-World, his "Slo-Trans" engines were supposed to last for millions of years, but were already faltering after a few thousand. However, since time appears to run at different rates all throughout All-World, and given Blaine's dementia, this assessment may not be dependable.
It seems that an extremely advanced civilization once existed in All-World, a parallel United States, known as the Imperium. This can be inferred from the high degree of similarity between Old Ones(the name for these ancient people) architecture, automobiles, clothing and the fact that an Old Ones military outpost used an everyday phone modem and Microsoft products. They might have spoken English.
The civilization of the Old Ones is inferred to have collapsed because of the replacement of magic, which could last forever, with technology, which would disintegrate if left unattended, but which nevertheless was allowed to be responsible for maintaining the Beams of the Dark Tower.
The Beams are six invisible forces connecting the edge of the world/universe to the center. These Beams are the primary sources of force in All-World and they maintain order. Failure of the Beams causes changes in physical and astronomical constants, which causes chaos in nature, as well as in civilization. There were six Beams with twelve Guardians, one for each "Portal" (the end of a Beam) arranged like the spokes of a wheel with The Tower at the center.
The Old One civilization used technology to maintain the Beams of the Dark Tower instead of magic, and sought to literally control reality. The final blow for the Old One civilization seems to have been nuclear war, biological warfare, chemical warfare, and something "else" that is hinted to be more horrible/powerful than those three, but it is suggested in the Gunslinger born that it was the final attempt to destroy the Dark tower its self and rebuild something in their own image as the nexus of space and time. It is not known when such wars took place (but long ago enough that it is in the ancient past, and that the gene lines are finally starting to breed true, or "threaded"), why they took place, or even between which nations or organizations such wars were fought. It is widely hinted the Crimson King was ultimately working behind the scenes, manipulating people and events to bring about civilization's destruction, since such destruction serves his ultimate ends.
The All-World of most of the Dark Tower series is sparsely populated and dangerous, filled with mutants both human and animal, and vast swaths of land are irradiated. Demons and robots are to be found, as well as Taheen, who are in the employ of the Crimson King. Governments do not extend beyond the town/local level. Resources are scarce, and relics of the Old Ones' technology exist mainly in perverted, deranged, or damaged forms that threaten instead of helping the last remnants of civilization

Character History (give as detailed a rundown on your character's history and origin as possible/If you copy/paste this information from another website, link back to it, or it is considered plagiarism and is not allowed):

Roland becomes a gunslinger at the unheard-of age of 14 after being manipulated into taking the "trial of manhood" by Marten Broadcloak, his father's adviser and incarnation of Randall Flagg. Marten has an affair with Roland's mother and makes sure Roland finds out about it, prompting Roland to request his trial in order to gain his guns and exact revenge on Marten. In the trial, Roland must defeat his teacher, Cort, using a weapon of his choosing. He chooses a hawk named David and defeats Cort. Despite Roland's victory, Cort and Roland's father convince Roland to bide his time before seeking retribution.
Not long after, Roland's father sends him on a mission to the town of Hambry in the Outer Barony of Mejis with his friends Alain Johns and Cuthbert Allgood, who will form the basis for his first ka-tet. While there, he comes into the possession of a pink crystal ball, one of 13 magical artifacts referred to as "Maerlyn's Rainbow." It was while looking into this artifact that Roland first discovered his destiny to quest for the Dark Tower. Roland is a 30th-generation descendant of his world's version of King Arthur, Arthur Eld.

The Gunslinger fell out of the saloon's batwing doors, barley avoiding the knife that was aimed for his heart.

"Interloper!"

The piano player tried to leap on him. The Gunslinger responded with hands that had been trained to kill from birth.

BLAM!

His hands were faster than lightning, as he pulled out one of the big guns with the sandalwood grips, they claimed the guns were forged from Arthur Eld's ancient sword, it was also Roland's birthright.

The bullet entered the piano player's head and pushed his brains and skull out the back. What was left of his brains splattered inside the saloon. But it was too late, the trap had been sprung as the whole town of Tull came to life.

"INTERLOPER!!!"

"KILL THE INTERLOPER!"

Every man, woman and child in the small town of Tull had descended upon him. They were about 120 strong and armed with sticks, rocks, and gardening equipment. They didn't have a chance.

The Gunslinger quickly sprung to his feet, removing the other big gun and aiming at the mob. The word's of his teacher, Cort ringing in his ears.

You do not aim with your hand. He who aims with his hand has forgotten the face of his father. You aim with your eye.

His hands were like blurs, as he fired round after round into the people of Tull, slowly moving back as they stepped over the mounting bodies infront of him.

You do not shoot iwth your hand. He who shoots with his hand has forgotten the face of his father. You shoot with your mind.

Face after dirty face came to the front, only to meet their demise at his hands. His finger tips were sorched with the hot bullet shells he was quickly emptying and reloading.

You do not kill with your gun. He who kills with his gun has forgotten the face of his father. You kill with your heart.

And just like that, silence. The whole town of Hull laid infront of him. Each and everyone as dead as the ground they laid on. Every man, woman, and child dead. They had moved on to the clearing at the end of the path. Gone, just like his father, his mother, his friends Alain and Cuthbert. Gone like his only love Susan, and the baby that was in her belly as she was burned alive at the stake.

He breathed heavily as he holstered his guns. They were truly gone, his world had moved on and only he remained. The last Gunslinger.

A few things in the app might be a little off, been a long while since I read Supreme Power (I've only read a few issues, I have the others on my compputer though) so I'm just going by memory.

Multiversers Application:

Character You Would Like To Play (list codename along with real name if applicable): Mark Milton/Hyperion (Supremeverse)

Powers (be as specific as you can):

Hyperion possesses superhuman strength, stamina, speed and durability. His senses are also greatly enhanced, including allowing him to perceive the entire electro-magnetic spectrum. He also has atomic vision which is quite similar to heat vision.

Character Type (Chosen, Agent, or MRC and, if they are a MRC, are they a Hero or Villain): Chosen.

Universe History (give a brief description of the comic universe your character hails from):

The earth Hyperion lands upon by chance isn't much different from ours, normal people doing normal jobs and living normal lives; that is until Hyperion came along, people started popping up around the globes with amazing powers, from super speed to incredible intellect and even people that could bounce bullets off of their chest without even feeling them. The American Government has it's fingers in alot of pies, somehow winning the super arms race without even doing a thing, except what happens when superheroes go rogue? What happens when one of their precious weapons starts saying 'No'? Hyperion's rebellion against the government shocked the world, it also alerted them to the fact that they were no longer alone, that there were other planets out there, that there was life.. and that, that scared them. A paranoid and dangerous world with more and more superpowered humans turning up every week, tensions running high.. it could only end one way, in blood.

Character History (give as detailed a rundown on your character's history and origin as possible): Mark Milton is not from Earth, he's from somewhere else, but not long after landing upon the Earth he was found by an American couple and taken into their care; however he didn't stay there for very long as he was tracked down by American scientists and taken into their custody, immediately becoming aware that he wasn't human and that he had far from human abilities, a few years down the line he became known as "Hyperion" to the public and something of a public protector, but soon came to question his the role he played in the world and being used as a pawn by the government. He went rogue, but the government told the world the truth, that Mark Milton was in fact an alien, this coupled with several other events caused Milton to go over the edge and smash into the arctic circle, causing massive shockwaves across the world and leaving only a warning, that they leave him alone and stay out of his life. or else.

Personality (give a detailed description of your character's personality):

Once upon a time Mark Milton was a patriotic man, he always knew he was different from others, but he had never understood why; he had lead a sheltered and very innocent life, being taught only what the government wanted him to be taught and not allowed to come into contact with several of life's vices. Upon breaking free of the government's influence, he starts to act upon the impulses he never had the chance to in his younger life, he is inspirational, passionate and intelligent but impulsive; he rushes into things without thinking about them, putting himself first most of the time, however stepping up to the challenge whenever innocent lives are at stake. Despite all this, he feels very alone in the world, not knowing where he's from, not knowing whether there are others like him, knowing that he will never truly be accepted anymore.

Speech Color and Font (actually say what color and font you are going to use, don't just say "like this". It makes it a lot easier to add you to the roster this way): 3 Bold Verdana Red

What can you bring to this game:

I can bring some much needed "aojsojgosjgoj" and some "asomfaohgeneg" a few good plots, I hope. I also hope that I can convey Hyperion in a way which will, not only interest, but intrigue the reader at the same time. Wait a second, screw this.. how about some beer and porn? Will that do? :o

Do you know how to post pictures on the Hype! Boards: Yeah.

Sample Post (write a sample post as your character that is at least 4 medium-sized paragraphs long and contains at least 1 line of dialogue in the style you plan on playing your character in):

They think I can't hear them, they sneak up here in their 'silent' helicopters and dive in freezing waters, thinking that would be enough to get around my senses; but it's not, far from it, they'll have to try alot harder if they want to do that. As I stand up from the small mound of snow I had found myself sitting on and turn towards them, they gasp loudly.

"I think you had better turn around before I make you gentlemen, don't you?"

The most senior of them gulped slightly and stepped forward, pointing his gun towards me and speaking nervously, I can tell he's the oldest. He smells old. The rest of his so called troops look even more nervous than he does, they don't want to be here, they know all about me.. what I can do.

"Mark Milton, I have authorization from the United States Government to detain and bring you back to American soil. Do not make this any harder th-"

He steps towards me and ***** his weapon as he laughs, which almost makes me smile, I speed towards him and grab him with one hand, lifting him high into the air effortlessly. He tries to struggle but soon realises it's useless, his troops don't even take a step to help him, so much for loyalty.

"Did you not hear me? I won't repeat myself again, leave.. or I'll send you home myself. In pieces."

I place him down and he gulps, throwing his weapon on the floor and turning away, marching off with his troops. It's going to be a very long, cold walk for them, but the cold doesn't bother me at all, after all.. I'm not human.

No.. I'm not human.

But I am alone.

You are approved.

Byrd, you are hereby accepted.

On the grounds that the character I originally chose is going to be much harder to portray than I imagined, I hereby withdraw my app for Earth 2 Batman.

In his place, I'm going to edit in an app for a new Batman.

Roster is updated. Let me know if I missed anyone.

GL's playing a Power Ranger? Is that allowed? If so, you may have me.

As long as you don't play a Ranger. There's a bunch of good characters out there, having two rangers with so little spaces seems like a real waste. Now, one of the rangers villians being an Agent...

As long as you don't play a Ranger. There's a bunch of good characters out there, having two rangers with so little spaces seems like a real waste. Now, one of the rangers villians being an Agent...
I'm well aware of the redundancy, but - let's face it - we all know that the TV RPG will never survive. I'm never going to get to play a Ranger! :csad:

I don't know. We'll see what I decide.

The Power Rangers have had their own comic, thus the White Ranger was allowed.

Personally, I won't approve another Ranger just because there's already one as a Chosen.
Yeah, I know it seems dick, but 'dems da breaks.

Update

Only one more Chosen spot is available, along with three more Agent spots. After that it's MRCs.

Personally, I won't approve another Ranger just because there's already one as a Chosen.
Yeah, I know it seems dick, but 'dems da breaks.

That's the Main Man for you, kicking ass and taking names.

That's the Main Man for you, kicking ass and taking names.

A villain I'd have no problem with, but two Rangers as heroes...not happenin'. Hell, one Ranger in this thing is too many. :o

To each his own. Anyways, come on people. We need some more villians! Calling all bastards!

Preferably at least one heavy hitter. So far we've got a highly skilled martial artist, a Superman-type in Hyperion, a Green Lantern, and master marksman who's pistols are forged from Excalibur and knows some magic against...

...a master assassin and a demon with mid-level super-human physical abilities.

Right now, the Agents of Chaos are going to get creamed. :o

I hope that I do this right...

Universe History (give a brief description of the comic universe your character hails from/If you copy/paste this information from another website, link back to it, or it is considered plagiarism and is not allowed):
This universe starts out exactly the same as the 616 universe. However, in this universe, Peter Parker was either unable or decided not to abandon the symbiote. At first, Spider-Man just seemed to be getting carried away. But over time, the hero ceased to exist - being entirely replaced by a monster. With Spider-Man now fighting on the other side (as Venom), New York fell prey to Norman Osborn, Otto Octavius, etc. Other heroes, such as Daredevil and the Fantastic Four, tried to stop the madness - but in many cases, they were killed by Venom himself.

Character History (give as detailed a rundown on your character's history and origin as possible/If you copy/paste this information from another website, link back to it, or it is considered plagiarism and is not allowed):
In this universe, Peter completely gives in to the symbiote. He knows that it's wrong - at first - but the benefits outweigh his guilt. As his personality becomes increasingly aggressive, he loses his friends, job, and apartment. Bitter and enraged, he becomes susceptible to the symbiote. Giving in to it completely, Peter is transformed into a monster known only as Venom.

Personality (give a detailed description of your character's personality):
Peter has completely strayed off the path that Uncle Ben set him on. Peter now realizes that great power should come with great rewards. His lust for violence, gore, and death have turned him into a vicious killer. He has turned his back on everyone he ever knew, and he has unleashed his fury on New York.

Speech Color and Font (actually say what color and font you are going to use, don't just say "like this". It makes it a lot easier to add you to the roster this way):
Navy Comic Sans for Peter/Arial Black for Venom

What can you bring to this game:
A combination of my two favorite Spider-Man characters - as well as one of the three remaining Agent spots. Oh, and I guess I'm an okay writer because I haven't been run out of town yet.

Sample Post (write a sample post as your character that is at least 4 medium-sized paragraphs long and contains at least 1 line of dialogue in the style you plan on playing your character in):

I tear open the roof of the taxi. The frightened driver merely stares at me in horror as I grab his collar. I thrust him out of the vehicle and toss him into the air. Just before he can hit the ground, I form a black spiderweb to catch him in. He struggles greatly to free himself as I crawl towards him menacingly.

"Don't take this personally," I hiss. "A man's gotta eat!" And as I hover over him, I allow a twisted, gaping smile to form on my face. My sharp teeth are glinting from the streetlights. Drool lingers in my mouth, slowly dripping from my jaw. I watch the taxi driver cringe as some drool drips on his forehead.

Suddenly, something explodes behind my head. FIRE! I jump away instinctively to avoid one of my few weaknesses. While lurking in the shadows, I look around for my attacker. Finally, I see something flying towards my web. "Harry Osborn..."

Harry comes to a halt on his father's glider. He has spotted me in my hiding spot. "You won't kill anyone today, Peter," Harry threatens. He is gripping tightly on another pumpkin bomb. Ever since my emergence as Venom, Harry has been using his father's old weapons to protect the city - from me.

Oh, the irony.

"Goblin, Jr.! Always a pleasure!" I snarl as I leap towards my new prey, knocking him off his glider. "Still trying to make Daddy proud?"

Cool choice. You are approved by me. 'bout time we had some Marvel characters.

Multiversers Application:

Character You Would Like To Play (list codename along with real name if applicable): Batman (Thomas Bruce Wayne IV)

Powers: Class 4 intellect, with the only man on Earth to have a higher known class being Alexander Luthor. Batman is a grade 10 detective, among the best ranks in the world. His one-man forensics expertise is said to rival everyone from every known police department scientist to FBI level forensics, having studied for a number of years with a major in criminology. His primary field of expertise, though relatively unknown to the outside world, is actually psychology and the study of criminality. His strength, bolstered by a deciplined regime that nearly qualifies him as machonistic, surpasses the average male, but does not exceed superhuman levels. The same for his agility and stamina. Batman has a knowledge of at least 98 different forms of martial arts, including his own invented style that combines street brawling with a technique that involves nerve pinches and concussive knockouts.

Batman is also a skilled marksman, a trait of which he doesn't put to use. He voluntarily learned this as a method of 'knowing his enemy', and penpointing the weakspots in certain types of revolvers, knowledge of which he uses in active combat during battle with gunmen.

Character Type (Chosen, Agent, or MRC and, if they are a MRC, are they a Hero or Villain): Chosen, Hero

Universe History (give a brief description of the comic universe your character hails from): The year is 2010. Two years into the future from now, and the United States goverment has cracked down upon society and re-ivigorated it's laws, following a devastating terrorist attack that rocks the nation harder than ever. For those with wealth, it's an ideal society. For those without, the same cannot be said. New liberities are given to the selfish and spoiled, while the common man is generally ignored or mistreated. And taking the most advantage of this is Multi-Billionaire Alexander Luthor, who is currently running for the White House after a resignation of the former President, from his home of the landmark technologically based city of Metropolis. Now, more than ever, the world needs a new breed of hero.

Enter the metahuman outbreak.

While most humans are unaffected by this strange, virus like phenomina, certain people across the globe are bestowed with an unusual set of abilities. Jason Garrick, a young resident of Central City, is one of the first to succumb to the virus as it spreads through a poison leaked through water vapors. While he is not killed, he soon realizes that he has been given the bizarre ability of superhuman speed. Using his powers in a responsible and respectable manner, Garrick becomes The Flash. While in far east New Gotham City, a place devastated more than most by crime and corruption, a road engineer by the name of Alan Scott is exposed to the outbreak when the flames of a fire he's trapped within are tainted with green energy. Scott is given the unnatural ability of generating this flame, which he uses to form a battery and ring as a comic-book inspired superpowered hero called The Green Lantern. And even Clark Kent, a mild mannered college graduate who was cloned from explorers from a now dead planet, is enhanced to a superhuman level by the outbreak. Though his abilities already existed by alien DNA, some abilities are transformed into extraordinary levels. While Kent could once leap a tall building in a single bound, the outbreak permits him to literally defy gravity and turn him into a true Super Man. So he becomes, when deciding to selflessly use his powers for the good of his adopted homeworld.

With this strange phenomina of heroes, aswell as the urban myths of the vampiric Bat-Man that haunts New Gotham, and the Amazonian goddess of the ages from the island of eternal youth, not all affected by the outbreak choose to use their powers for justice. Some, such as the parasitic Rudy Jones, the mother-nature advocatic extremeist Pamela Isely, and the rapidly mutated monster known only as King Grodd, seek to cause those who would stand in their way severe harm. Even those unaffected by the outbreak, who wish to cause the new heroes trauma for their existence, run amok in this new society. Criminals such as Blackrock, The Cheetah, The Riddler, and Slade Wilson, The Terminator for Hire, constantly appear among the world's headlines as the most dangerous. It is the striving effort of the new heroes such as Superman, Wonder Woman, Batman, and others that prevent humanity's downfall in these times of national war and goverment corruption.

Character History (give as detailed a rundown on your character's history and origin as possible):

Thomas Bruce Wayne IV was born into the cultural society of the prestigious Gotham City, and into the well respected Wayne family clan, whose ancestors founded the city and were among the first to strike it rich during the California gold rush. Thomas III, Bruce's father, had brought honor and respect to the modern family's name when he openly testifed against the city's leading crime boss as a teenager. Residing in a self designed penthouse in the middle of the city, Thomas and his wife Martha raised both Bruce, and his older sibling, William. While his relationship with his parents was memorably pleasant, it was Bruce and William's brotherly bond that kept Bruce happy in his childhood. However, his innocence would soon change. Out of town on a family visit to Phillip Wayne's estate, in Star City, William and Bruce were playing a game of tag, when by either accident or intervening fate, Bruce accidentally stumbled into an open cave, filled with nesting brown bats. Spooking the creatures with his fall, Bruce was horrifed as they swarmed around him, rooting a deep psychological fear of Bats in Bruce's mind for years to come. Rescued from the caverns by Thomas, Bruce and William were penalized for leaving the grounds unsupervised, to which Bruce was thankful for: He never wanted to enter another cave for the rest of his life.

However, Bruce's fear would soon be overshadowed by a far more tragic event.

On a stroll home from seeing a stage production of The Scarlet Pimpernel, Bruce and William began arguing over their respective heroes: William's being the spanish avenger Zorro, Bruce's being the Pimpernel. It was this argument, in the rainy streets of Gotham's dark alleys, that distracted the Wayne family long enough to be overtaken by a zealous mugger, looking to steal their valubles. Concerned for his boys' and his wife's safety, Thomas handed over his watch... but when the mugger eyed Martha's pearls, the situation worsened. Being the first to openly defy the mugger, William struck out against the gunman, trying to defend his parents and brother... but his attempt was tragically cut short, as the spooked gunman fired, and abruptly ended the young boy's life by an accidental shot. Scared out of his mind by the gunshot, Bruce could only watch in horror as his parents' simultaneous screams were silenced forever. Realizing he had wasted his last bit of ammo as he turned the gun on young Bruce, the shadowed mugger fled, leaving three stilled bodies behind him. Bruce, covered in their blood, could only weep as the rain washed it away... aswell as any trace of his family. Three people had died, that night. But four souls had perished. Bruce Wayne became, in that moment, a young man bent on only one absolution: Justice.

Adopted by the Madison family after the tragedy, Bruce seemed inconsoleable by the loss of his family. His only moments of joy came out of the teenage flirtations that took place, as he aged, between himself as his stepsister, Julie. But as she tried to grow close to Bruce, Bruce rejected her, fearing another loss of someone he loved. Nevertheless, the two enrolled at Harvard in the same year, where they took up a criminal law class with an up-and-coming scholar named Apollo 'Harvey' Dent. Dent and Bruce befriended eachother fast, and the two expressed an interest to open a law firm together in Gotham. But when word broke out that a captured felon had confessed to murdering the Wayne's, Bruce dropped out of Harvard in his last week, in order to attend the sentencing of his family's killer. Eager to kill the now identifed Joe Chill for the years of torture he had instilled in Bruce's mind, Bruce eventually came to his senses, and realized what he was slowly becoming: One of them. Knowing he had to leave Gotham to rid himself of the urge, Bruce embarked on a worldwide journey in order to teach himself all about the criminal mind. In the process, he attained formidable skills that he would one day use in a war against crime: In the jungles of Africa, he was forced to survive and build his primal foray of defensive skills. In the mountains of Russia, Bruce learned how to effectively use grapple techniques and sneak upon his prey. In the slums of Paris, France, he was taught by the mercenary Ducard to dismantle an enemy's weapon, and instill fear into their hearts with vocal and expressive techniques. Even going as far as Sweden, to learn the art of illusion from the magician Zatara Zatanna, Bruce was slowly building his mind and body into something far more formidable than it once was. But still, something was missing.

While coming back to America to enroll in studies with a famous crimologist named Henry Harris, Wayne learned of the passage in a detective novel that Harris swore by as an oath: "For man's greatest fear is what they cannot concieve, the greatest weapon against the superstitious and cowardly is that of fear itself.". Realizing that's what he needed, Wayne looked to his own psychological fear that had been instilled within him as a boy: The Bats. He needed to become something dark and terrible in order to fight against the evil that was tearing Gotham City apart, and successfully drive it out. Travelling back to Gotham, now split into two sanctoms of "Old" and "New" Gotham, Wayne put his mission to work, convincing the Madison family's former butler and Bruce's former confident, Alfred Jarvis Pennyworth, to become his own aide. After months of planning, Bruce and Alfred devised the ultimate alter-ego in the form of a grim creature of the night, one of which would haunt New and Old Gotham alike to prey on the city's evil. Wayne, inspired by crime, driven by crime, and forged by crime, would become crime's ultimate enemy: The Dark Knight Detective, Batman.

Personality (give a detailed description of your character's personality): This version of Batman possesses the same personality as his regular counterpart, virtually. By day, he puts up the front of a carefree spoiled celebrity in order to drive the public away from him with disinterest. But by night, he shed this false persona in order to terrorize Gotham's criminal society, displaying his supreme intellect and calculated rage for all who are unfortunate enough to see. He operates as an urban legend, spreading rumors that he is of supernatural or ghostly origin, inspiring panic in both the criminals, and innocent alike, prompting Batman not to be trusted by the Police or it's Commisioner, James Gordon. Even the now District Attorney Harvey Dent vocally expresses his displeasure over the arrival of the vigilante, and vows to rid Gotham of it's Bat-infestation... a promise he will later take to heart, as the villianous Two-Face.

Speech Color and Font (actually say what color and font you are going to use, don't just say "like this". It makes it a lot easier to add you to the roster this way): Batman speaks in Franklin Gothic Medium Bold.

What can you bring to this game: Money. Jewels. A very big ball of string.

Sample Post (write a sample post as your character that is at least 4 medium-sized paragraphs long and contains at least 1 line of dialogue in the style you plan on playing your character in):

"Put the guns down."

The voice seemed to come from every direction. Carmine 'The Roman' Falcone's men collectively darted their eyes back and forth, in a panic, but were unable to deciepher the location of the monstrous barritone that echoed above them. Glass crashed, in the distance, as one of the thugs turned, alarmed by what he had heard. He had known who the voice belonged to. Every criminal in New Gotham knew that voice, these days. And the worst part was, even knowing who was facing him, it didn't make holding the gun steadily any easier. The guy was that scary.

"Come out and fight, freak!", The panicked thug yelled, as his comrades searched the darkness with unsuccessful results.

"Man, oh man, don't tell me it's..."

"Shut up! He ain't real!"

"Says you, man, says you!"

"...Joe?"

Defeaned silence came over the men in the darkness, as their guns focused heavily on the spaces of light infront of them. But their silence was soon errupted by a shriek of terror. The men turned, simultaneously, to try and find the origin. But what startled them most was the fact that they could swear they heard it from, as startling as it seemed... above them.

"I won't ask twice."

Startled shots of gunfire arose, as some of the men darted and scattered through the darkness. Some of them were gone. Others were trying to find their way out... before whatever was hunting them got to them.

"Jesus Christ! Keep your eyes open!", The leader yelled, loading more ammo into his weapon, when he slowly realized something: There was a faint breath on his neck. Turning around, the thug stared out at pitch blackness, trying desperately to find his invisible stalker.

"Wha-... What th... W-What in..."

"You know the chill that runs down your spine, and renders you petrified beyond belief?", The voice called out from every direction.

The thug's eyes widened even wider, as he was enveloped into darkness.

"That's me."

Approved. And I think that's our last Chosen.

Good. :cmad:

Er... because we need more villains anyway. :O

...:cmad:

Well, crap. I was too late on the punch to get my Sonic app in.

Guess I'll have to go to plan B...

Multiversers Application:

Character You Would Like To Play (list codename along with real name if applicable):
Johnny C. (a.k.a. "Nny" or Johnny the Homicidal Maniac)

Powers (be as specific as you can/If you copy/paste this information from another website, link back to it, or it is considered plagiarism and is not allowed):

As fas as he knows, Johnny C. has no superhuman abilities. He is rather suspicious, however, about his uncanny ability to avoid capture and his seeming inability to actually die. Whether the authorities are just patently oblivious to the acts of horrendous violence he commits, or if there is some unseen force blinding them to his actions, he can't be sure.

Character Type (Chosen, Agent, or MRC and, if they are a MRC, are they a Hero or Villain):

Agent of Chaos

Universe History (give a brief description of the comic universe your character hails from/If you copy/paste this information from another website, link back to it, or it is considered plagiarism and is not allowed):

On the surface, Nny's world is not so different than many others: the average person goes along his/her life, painfully unaware of how wretched the whole thing is. The streets are decayed and littered with the waste of consumerism and society gone wrong...and that's just the people there. Sure, the real people are a little easier to pick out from the idiots, but the very real problem of this world is the sheer amount of idiots and the mental sewage they leave behind.

So every few centuries or so, the universe requires a 'waste-lock' to flush out the excess negativity that accrues after so long. This would effectively reboot the universe, now able to function a little more smoothly for a little while longer. Unfortunately for Nny, that job was bestowed upon him, either by God or Satan or someone else with a really sick sense of humor.

Character History (give as detailed a rundown on your character's history and origin as possible/If you copy/paste this information from another website, link back to it, or it is considered plagiarism and is not allowed):

Most memories of his early life have left him, either because of the layers and layers of frightening psychoses that have ravaged his mind, or because he was simply not supposed to remember them. He was always too skinny, always too quiet, always too creative for the other kids to not ostracize him. His real calling began some time in his twenties, when he moved into a mysterious house.

Beneath the seemingly unremarkable house was a labyrinth of underground tunnels and chambers, filled with hideous torture devices and implements of death. Spurred on by powerful voices from inside his head and out of it, he began wave after wave of kidnappings, torturing, and sprees of mass murder.

Over the years, he began to notice other denizens of his house. There was Nail-Bunny, the other half of his internal dialogues, personified by a rabbit he had nailed to a wall. There was the Thing Behind the Wall, which would ultimately break through and destroy the universe if he stopped painting the wall with blood. Most disturbing were the Doughboys, whom he had believed were other internal voices, but were in fact manifestations of the Wall-Thing meant to sap him of his strength. Whether these things actually existed or if he was just going more insane wasn't particularly clear to him, but it did eventually lead to his committing suicide and (possibly) the end of the universe.

After a short visit to Heaven and Hell, where he learned the true nature of his existence--either that or a really stupid dream during which he shaved off most of his hair-- Nny awoke to a new take on life, no longer needing to kill unsuspecting idiots in order to feed the Wall-Thing. Now he would only kill unsuspecting idiots when he found it appropriate!

Hindered only by the personification of his base animal instincts (given the form of a ceramic burger-boy named Reverend MEAT), Johnny C. has left the old house behind and is undertaking a quest to rid himself of all emotion.

Personality (give a detailed description of your character's personality):

Johnny is extremely introverted and cynical, having learned long ago that emotional attachment to other people almost always leads to pain. Never really sure if he is really being manipulated by forces greater than his understanding or if he is just crazy, Nny tends to take out his confusion and frustration on everyone he can find.

Though he admits to doing extremely horrible things, he has a twisted sense of morality, refusing to kill people he doesn't think deserve it. He really took a shining to Squee, the boy next-door, and attempted to take him under his proverbial wing, but mostly wound up traumatizing the poor kid.

He kind of remembers that he might have been an artist at one point, now he vents his remaining shreds of creativity in his 'Happy Noodle Boy' comic strips, which have become very popular with the homeless and insane.

Speech Color and Font (actually say what color and font you are going to use, don't just say "like this". It makes it a lot easier to add you to the roster this way):

Book Antiqua, Bold, Size 3

What can you bring to this game:

An experienced RP'er (and former Goth kid, which is why I chose JTHM) who can tell some pretty good stories, write some solid dialogue, and display a pretty f--king dark sense of humor.

Do you know how to post pictures on the Hype! Boards:

Sample Post (write a sample post as your character that is at least 4 medium-sized paragraphs long and contains at least 1 line of dialogue in the style you plan on playing your character in):

The loss of emotion is something that most people see as a horrible thing. They go on and on about how our emotions are the only thing that separates us from the other animals. And really, that's exactly why I want to get rid of them. Emotions make people irrational. They make us hurt when we shouldn't, force our own misery and anger on others, turn everyone into snarling apes behind false smiles.

A perfect example of this is the establishment I'm entering right now. It's a bubbling cauldron of everything that's f--ked up with the human race, a roiling basin of vanity and perversity. It's where people turn themselves into caricatures of themselves in order to impress the other caricatures, turning their need for basic contact into a flea market of flesh.

Most people just call it a night club.

"Hey, you!" the bouncer yells at me. He gives me a look that most people would only reserve for a pile of dog sh-t, and motions towards the door. "No way your goofy-looking ass is getting in here. Now get outta here."

"Ahh, yes. There it is; the exclusion of individuality, the predisposition to reject and hate anything that doesn't fit into what everyone else tells you is acceptable. I think I'm going to enjoy expressing myself for a good while tonight..."

HOURS LATER...

I'll say this for dance clubs. They give you a hell of a workout.
