If Doomsday could beat Superman...then Hulk could beat Superman.

Doomsday is A LOT stronger than Hulk, are you now saying Hulk could beat Darkseid as well seeing as Doomsday has? Hulk couldnt beat Darkseid to me that is clear.

Doomsday might start off stronger than Hulk, but if the fight lasts any longer than 5 minutes, Hulk will win. Longer he fights/stronger he gets.

Darkseid is a different powerset. He can use the Omega Force to concuss, disintegrate, or relocate a foe. Depending on Hulk's resilience, he could withstand the concussion, maybe be able to outheal the disintegation, but could be teleported so far away that he can't find his way back to "Smash puny rock-head!"

While technically not a win, Darkseid would still be standing. Now if he tried to trade blows with Hulk, he'd lose, spectacularly.

I agree I want to see Banner use some of his smarts, almost as much as I want to see Hulk smash things in The Avengers. I would like to see Hulk doing things like I saw in TIH too: Using cars as boxing gloves, beices of debris as shields, etc. Makes him more than just a savage beast and hints at a mind at work under all that gamma radiation.

Erm, in a VERY recent comic Superman pushed a planet, Our Worlds At War, he pushed War World into a boomtube, that was in 2003/4 I believe.

I'll give you that but, that wasn't Superman at his normal level, he had to enter the sun to power boost. He is not normally at that level and can not mimic the feat without literally doing that again. As I've mentioned he was recently knocked out by Braniac's falling spaceship 2010/2011. Machinery far less than the weight of the earth.

Only your belief. It's the same as the Superman argument...What has Doomsday done that makes you believe he is so much stronger than the Hulk. Nothing. Hulk's strength is potentially limitless. In fact I can show Hulk taking a regular step that was more damaging than anything DD has done. :yay:

[Edit:] To answer your question yes Hulk could beat Darkseid. Hulk just took out a guy named Armageddon who once took him on in his Merged Hulk form along with the Silver Surfer, and pretty much had his way with the both of them. Armageddon almost destroyed the Silver Surfer by using his own power against him, he can manipulate energy or a foes own power and use it against themselves.

All that to say SS could easily take out Superman. Armageddon once took out Merged Hulk and SS, so Hulk supremely pissed taking out Armageddon could take out Darkseid, a foe no more stronger than Superman, at least in recent showings.

Superman moves worlds but Hulk breaks them. :awesome:

So it didnt take any strength to push the planet? :woot: Come on now, he still had to push it, which is an amazing feat.

Okay...I concede...Superman's feat would require a gargantuan feat of titanic strength...you know...about half of the Hulk's base level.
:D

Doomsday is A LOT stronger than Hulk,

I would love...LOVE....to see the proof backing that statement.

I really hope they incorporate the most modern take on hulk for avengers.

Finally, Hulk in Lego form. I wonder if this is anywhere close to the actual size difference between the two.

That is a feat of flight, not strength.

If Superman couldn't fly, he couldn't move a planet.

If you tripled Superman's strength, but took away his flight, he still couldn't move a planet.

So what you're essentially saying is moving a planet takes no form of strength at all? There are alot of flying characters in both DC & Marvel universes capable of flying just as fast, if not faster than Superman.. are you saying you feel all of these heroes (or villians) would be capable of moving a planet on the basis that they can fly?

Hulk's strength on his worldbreaker level is insane.

Ahhhhh Yes.....YES!!! If the posters who think Superman can so easily win...REALLY understood Hulk's power.

Isn't World War Hulk in the same sort of ballpark as All Star Superman series? ie an elseworlds sort of story & not the character percieved 'canon'

The reason I ask is All Star Superman lifts 200,000,000,000,000,000,000 tons.. or 200 quintillion.. with ease.. and it's billed as 'not even being his upper limit'

If Doomsday could beat Superman...then Hulk could beat Superman.

Doomsday is a far, far, far stronger character though than the Hulk.. Hulk's strength may be billed as limitless, however his durability nor his level of invunerability are limitless.. something that Doomsday's IS.

I feel like I'm watching an episode of 'The Big Bang Theory'. :whatever:

No, it's absolutely canon. It's so recent that it still gets referenced.

Doomsday stronger than Hulk? Not sure about that. Doomsday having more invulnerability/durability than Hulk? Not sure about that either. Those attributes of Hulk also go up when he's enraged. Who knows...

I brought this issue up in the fan art thread, What do you think if Marvel choose to give Hulk a tagline will be ?

Cap got The First Avenger
Shellhead got The Armoured Avenger
Goldilocks has The Mighty Avenger

What should Hulk's be ?
Hulk : The Strongest Avenger, The Invincible Avenger ?

I think I have decrypted your post:

I'll take your word for it.

I wasn't talking about literal strength more the fact that Doomsday is essentially an unkillable & unbeatable character.

Theres no way Hulk's level of invunerability/durability is on par with Doomsday's.. no possible way.

'canon'[/I]

No World War Hulk is in the regular Marvel 616verse, he's the same Hulk incarnation in the comics right now, and so is his Worldbreaker form when he gets royally pissed off. I'm not sure of who you're confusing him with.

The reason I ask is All Star Superman lifts 200,000,000,000,000,000,000 tons.. or 200 quintillion.. with ease.. and it's billed as 'not even being his upper limit'
All Star Superman was one of the best Superman stories ever, but he is not in the regular DC universe and the Superman in the regular verse is no where near his power level. All Star Superman's power was great, but it was killing him.

Doomsday is a far, far, far stronger character though than the Hulk.. Hulk's strength may be billed as limitless, however his durability nor his level of invunerability are limitless.. something that Doomsday's IS.
What has he done for you to make this statement. Provide proof please.

Can't believe I missed this earlier. NIIIICCCCE!!!

I really hope they incorporate the most modern take on hulk for avengers.

Actually this is not a modern take on the Hulk. This is how the Hulk was portrayed from TIH issue #2 (where he first appeared green) to TTA #65. He also was portrayed this way in Avengers #1-3, when the Avengers first formed.

The misconception is that the Hulk originally spoke in third person. He spoke normal in his original and earliest appearances, though his memories were clouded at times.

you mean where he talks, similar to the new animated series of Avengers ?

This would be nice.

That would be cool...The Strongest Avenger There is.

The Green Avenger
The Angry Avenger
The Least-Dressed Avenger
The Bi-Polar Avenger
The Avenger No One likes Angry

Picture posted from Comic Con ..... I cropped it to just show the Hulk ....

He got a haircut and his facial features are little more square-jawed.

I got another tag-line for the Hulk...The Mark Ruffalo looking Avenger.
