True. I'm hoping and praying the fact that Hulk will be speaking means he will be his own personality, and not just "Banner with a liter of acid poured in his brain"

Also, at some point he should juggle elephants while disguised as a clown . Just sayin'.

I'm actually hoping that we have more Hulk than Banner in the Avengers. An obvious scene with Stark and Banner would be nice. as well as Fury and Banner. If the Loki-Hulk puppet rumors are true then Loki will definitely have interaction with Banner.

Me too. I don't want to see a Banner Hulk or Merged / Professor Hulk, I hope it's Gravage Hulk the one that's portrayed in the comic books now and the one seen in the animated series The Avengers Earth's Mightiest Heroes. He's an extremely versatile version of the character.

Banner too needs to be interesting and not just a soul moping about. The Recent Greg Pak Banner is cool.

LMAO! The Circus of Crime could work as villains in a Hulk Movie...so maybe you'll get your elephants. :yay:

Same here

IMO Hulk should look like this throughout the entire movie, both design and cgi level wise.

Character design, definitely. CGI level wise, they can do a lot better. Hell, Ang Lee's Hulk had better looking CGI than Incredible Hulk.

Nothing in Ang's Hulk looked as good as the CGI in that scene. What they need is consistency. And the CGI in TIH would have been consistently good if Marvel would have given the VFX company enough time to complete the animation properly.

Agreed! If that is the case, then call me satisfied.

Heh, it would be cool if Loki tries to force Banner into transformating by sending him flying with a light tap to the face (ie. Hulk Vs.).

That was one of the few things I liked in that accursed movie :argh:

I thought the CGI in TIH was fantastic. I liked the CGI in Ang Lee's film, but overall, I really disliked Hulk's look in that movie.

I thought TIH chest muscles were a bit strange at times. For example at one point his chest appears small and flat like you would see in someone that was toned but not bulky:

Then when he roars his pecs appear much larger in height and bulk which should be the opposite in that position:

The best solution for Hulks muscle tone would be to find a huge body builder and model the Hulks muscles after that. All they need to do then is enlarge the hands and feet.

I didn't like TIH Hulk's skin. It looked too thin. You could see too much sinew and veins and wrinkles. Was like someone who sat out in the sun too long.

Hulk's skin should be thick, like a Rhino or Elephants hide.

When dealing with CGI, it's never going to be perfect but I thought those shots worked.

Also, I like my Hulk ripped. They may have slightly over did it, but it didn't bother me much.

Two other things that the Avengers Hulk must have, that pissed me off that the TIH movie didn't, Hulk must leap, something Ang Lee did extremely well; and I want to see his healing ability in action, something else Ang's movie Hulk had. And yes, the comic book Hulk had that ability long before Wolverine, he even had them in the television show.

Yeah, i'm sure Ruffalo will be good in the role but it doesnt like they are keeping the Hulk himself the same, which will piss me off a little.

Agreed, I think that the look in the posted pix is dead on. If they change from that, to look like Ruffalo, it will be yet another sad day from Hulk fans. It boggles me why they are so afraid to make the Hulk look like the Hulk. They really should play up the fact that the Hulk is not Banner. They hate each other. Oh well.

Yea, i didn't like the pakour thing at the end of TIH. Hulk doesn't scale buildings... he jumps up them in a single bound.

The desert scene vs the army in Ang's Hulk is what i want to see in a Hulk action sequence.

I would think it's suppose to be sort of thin. His skin is being stretch from Banner to Hulk. I'm just surprised Banner does not look like a hump of excess skin when he transforms back to himself. :bh: :oldrazz:

If you're talking about that scene in particular then I strongly disagree. The CGI there was perfect, IMO it couldn't be improved upon, it was photo real.

^yes, but as others said, its about consistency

and unfortunately, about 80% of the scenes in TIH, his skin looked too shiny and translucent, and he looked slimey to me.

It's like they tried too hard, and overdid it (anyone who's ever done art or music can relate)

In the end, TIH hulk stood out from the background much worse than Ang's Hulk.
In HULK, you could swear they actually got a (too tall and kinda chubby) green monster to stand next to jennifer connelly

Agreed. If, however, Ruffalo somehow looks like a mean Hulk, I'll be happy.

To me the only times Hulk stood out in TIH was mainly during the campus fight, it looked asif they couldn't get the daytime CG right, when it got darker at the end of the fight he looked great. He looked good in his first appearance, he looked good during the cave scene and he looked good in about 70% of the final fight, which were all night scenes. It's quite funny that I found Hulk in Ang's Hulk looked worse during the night scenes and better during the day. You are right consistancy is a big problem but I felt both hulk films had this problem.

I thought he looked terrible in the cave scene. Didn't look like real wet skin at all. Looked like wet rubber. Like BoredGuy said, he seemed too shiney and slimey, like they tried too hard. It didn't look like real skin being drenched in rain.

unneccesary and unfortunate? im sorry has anyone seen this new design yet? i just dont see what the big deal is...

What's unnecessary is changing something that they finally got right (the Hulk's design). In addition to changing his look, the Hulk walked fine in 2008's TIH. No need to suddenly alter the way he moves around, unless you want the general audience to be like, "WTF is he moving around like an orangutan?"

What's unfortunate is the fact that there's some weird, compulsive need to change things, even when they're perfectly fine.

Reminds me of an ex-girlfriend:
"Hey, these cookies are awesome! Best I ever tasted!"
"Thanks! Next time, I think I'm going add some more flour and use less vanilla."
"WHAT?!? No--they are perfect now. Don't change anything!"
Needless to say, the next time cookies were baked, they were different. In a bad way.

In Ang's HULK, you could swear they actually got a (too tall and kinda chubby) green monster to stand next to jennifer connelly

I don't want my Hulk too tall or chubby.

Is nobody else worried about what the hulk is gonna look like? So far it doesn't sound to great..Mark Ruffalo's face, 'big green and bloated' and walking on all fours..?
They got it perfect in TIH, I don't know why they think they need to redo it...

Count me concerned.
"Bloated" is a word that I would never, ever use to describe the Hulk. I could brainstorm for an entire weekend about words to describe the Hulk and bloated would never even enter my mind.

It boggles me why they are so afraid to make the Hulk look like the Hulk. They really should play up the fact that the Hulk is not Banner.

Exactly! The Hulk is *not* Banner...so why is everybody trying to make him LOOK like Banner?! No comic book artist in history has ever tried to make the Hulk look like Banner...so why are they wasting precious CGI budget trying to do this?

I feel like it's a pretty big issue that's being overlooked. This isn't typical fan boy whining by the way - this is simply an 'if it ain't broke don't fix it' look at things.

Exactly. If it ain't broke...

Genius as always Teach!!! Good to see you're around.

I was thinking about this yesterday, I think one of the best things they can do is follow up on the leader, than down the road do Planet Hulk after Guardians of the Galaxy and cosmic-type stuff is established. Plus, by then maybe there can be a proper Illuminati! :awesome:

...just perhaps without Reed :csad:

Actually no, I'm stupid. It could be cool to skip TIH 2 and wait for the cosmic side to be established, then have the Leader substitute Illuminati's place. Once Hulk comes back, he kicks Leader's ass and it's happily ever after.
