That is some really fab art Wonder Woman looks amazing there still not in love with those boots but overall I dig her costume there too and I will definitely be checking out her ongoing comic book when it starts in September

Apparently, I missed this before, but Hamner is saying the final designs are the shorts (though, to be fair, it could still change since he doesn't have the final approval or anything like that).

Nrama: This week, DC released a promotional image, and the cover of Wonder Woman #1 used to have her wearing navy blue pants, but it now has her in the star-spangled bathing suit look. If you're doing the turnaround, which one is it?


Hamner: You know, this is exactly what I'm talking about with evolution. And I heard something about -- and I have no idea where this crazy stuff comes from -- but there was this thing going around that there was a "pants rule," that there was this edict from "Lord DC" or something that all female characters will have pants. That's not true, for one thing.
It's weird to get an email where, in the subject line, it says "Wonder Woman without pants." [laughs] It took me a second to figure out what someone was sending me. It was an editorial decision. The final look, as far as I'm aware right now, is that she's wearing briefs. Her legs are bare.

I'm thinking that the shorts are back in, but the decision came after a lot of the promotional material that had her in pants went through, so DC is just kind of being dodgy to not undercut any of that stuff. It could be that she just has shorts in one issue and then goes to pants in the next, but I don't know, seems like an odd last minute altering choice to me.

You probably be right Tron Bonne they probably just changed their minds about how they wanted the Wonder Woman redesign to look

I dont hate the heels but I would rather those boots were red

It'd be nice if the boots were red, but by making the boots the same color scheme as her shorts/panties/tights/whatever they are this week, her costume no longer clashes with itself. Her upper body has a clear red/silver theme, while her lower body has a black/white theme. It's not red/gold, then blue/white, then red/white. And if you'll recall, the clashing colors was the main problem I always had with Diana's costume. Aside from the fact that her bustier looks like it belongs to Spider-Girl and her boots have heels that are impractical in a fight, I'm alright with it. This is the most satisfied I've ever been with a Wonder Woman costume.

Thats true. But i guess I just always dug her original costume colours

Also I think I've solved the mystery of her dissapearing and reappearing pants. I think pants are how she disguises her identity

Clark wears glasses she has pants that extend from the rest of the costume to disguise her superhero identity

Just for the pure spite of Manic, I'm going to post this; someone recolored the (maybe) new suit with the traditional color set

Anyway, I'm fine with the the suit myself. It's still got some problems, but nothing that can't be quietly phased over time. I guess the only big issue (and it's not that big, really) is that it still looks too muted for my tastes. That is the actual reason I posted this recolored version. I don't care that much about the boot's color, but gold as opposed to silver gives it more pop that I think Wonder Woman should have.

I've said it a thousand times: If you're gonna give Wonder Woman a red/gold theme on her torso, make the boots also red/gold instead of red/white. Or just give her back the red sandals.

I don't think so. At least, I don't think anything was really said about hearing stuff specifically. We may, though, but it seems the info has been pretty nil up to this point.

Hopefully we will hear more about the Wonder Woman ongoing soon. The solicits certainly sound pretty interesting

I reeeeaally want to see DCnU Ares more like the Rucka version, that was probably the best take on anyone of Diana's villains. IMO
