Constantin is irrelevant now. The Fantastic Four are (going) home now. Who gives a flying &^$*@ about Constantin now? It doesn't matter anymore. The words literally came right out of Iger's own mouth. DISNEY IS GETTING THE F4.

Don't have my webspace anymore so not sure if this will work, but knocked up a quick wallpaper for the occasion:

You didn't research it enough then, lol. That's click bait. The guy who had the rights said openly in an interview he sold them to FOX years ago.

He researched it via the DigificWriter method of empirical research. A perfectly valid method if there ever were one. :argh:

Happy day, welcome home X-Men, FF4 et al. Queue up the original ROTJ Ewok (yub yub) music!

Looking forward to the MCU Doctor Doom, and I hope he figures heavily into the next major crossover.

I guarantee that whole situation would have been settled and agreed upon well before signing.

The great part about the timing of this is it allows marvel to set thanos up as the ultimate badass in the universe... And then doom can defeat him and galactus can brush him aside and we can get some perspective for just how powerful those two can be.

yessssss please mahvel do this

I can't believe this is reality....it's actually real. I almost can't believe it.

If I have to hear about Constantin one more time

so help me....

Deadpools first film was kinda in its own self aware bubble anyway, with Wade making a joke about the actors playing Xavier, the studio not being able to afford more x-men, a couple of Jackman jokes etc.

They could just keep him the same with an integration into the MCU tbh. Get a 4th wall joke or 2 about joining the MCU out of the way, and let him get on with it.

The best part is that they can get any of the MCU folks to cameo for these 4th wall breaking jokes. :D

Disney must have done a deal with Constantin Films straight away.

I saw the Tim Story films, and I have no idea if they were in the credits but they most likely probably were in some way.
all this says is that Eichinger owned the production rights to the Corman movie. What happened then is guesswork.
The distribution deal with Fox, that Constantin has, is that Constantin movies are distributed by Fox wherever Constantin does not have the ressources to distribute their movies themselves. That deal has nothing to do with the FF, but is a wider deal

Wait!?...Disney got the rights to John Constantine!?

We DC now boiz!!!!

Oh, I just shook my head when I saw this. So disappointed in you, Jessica Chobot for going along with the clickbait/speculation.

And so that day has ARRIVED! How many years has this thread been going for anyway?! All the talk, the speculation, the naysayers and more. The future of the MCU just got a lot brighter! :)

I'm so happy that we are going to get tons of proper FF merchandising. I have been wishing for some sick T-shirts for a long time ( I want a blue one with just the circled '4', and some other featuring good old Ben)

:funny:

That came out on the 12th after this: https://screenrant.com/disney-fox-fantastic-4-rights-constantin/2/ came out on the 11th.

And if you read the actual dim-witted and poorly researched Screen Rant article that started all this you'd see they actually say in the article: Although Cons***** Films’ agreement with 20th Century Fox remains unclear at this stage, as the fine print of their arrangement has never been made public,

So they talk as if what they're saying is fact while putting a huge disclaimer right in it.

Meanwhile, we've been discussing this on this forum for years and we've seen numerous authoritative sources that have told us Cons***** no longer has any say.

Marvel didn't make any last minute deals. Screen Rant simply had their heads up their butt.

All I know is if Constantine is gonna be in the MCU they better bring back Keanu Reeves trolololololol

I hear you. I've got a Constant tingling in my ears from all of this nonsense.
:lmao:

Plus the one person who would at this point have anything to say is the man himself, Bob Iger. He would not have definitively mentioned Fantastic Four if there was anything standing in the way of that property. There is no way in the darkest, coldest, depths of hell that Disney's lawyers don't have the firmest grasp what the case is with those rights.

They are (coming) home. End of story.

Why couldn't Disney make a new agreement with Constantin?
