The minute this deal finalizes, Feige is gonna announce Uncanny X-Men and Fantastic Four and subsequent sequels. That is after he finishes somersaulting in a pile of money.

That man wants these properties more than us, that's why he's playing coy.

He said he's waiting for the call

I wonder what that man's blood pressure has been looking like these last few months. The pressures of Infinity War, going up and down about whether he gets mutants to play with.

Ugh. I want my last name to be Feige.

Sure hope so!

I hope he does something like when Marvel announced Phase 3 at the El Capitan.

Marvel's The Fantastic Four or Marvel's First Family? Maybe they might use the second title?

Only if they're from the 1960s. Otherwise Hank, Janet & Hope are the first family.

Has anybody ever said their Streaming service would have a "Disney" theme or be overtly connected to Disney?

One thing that makes me ask that question is Disney used to have "Disney Movies Anywhere" that allowed you to view your purchased Disney (and Marvel, Touchstone etc.) films. They discontinued that service and created "Movies Anywhere" which allows you to watch any digital movies you purchased on Vudu, Amazon etc. I don't know how this will all tie in (if at all), but I suspect this has all been in the planning for a while and part of their long-term plan. I can watch all of my R movies on the Disney owned "Movies Anywhere" platform.

They could easily roll their streaming service into "Movies Anywhere" so that in addition to the movies you own, there will be a list of movies available to you as a subscriber (on Amazon, I have a choice between movies I own and those available to me as an Amazon Prime member - if I cancelled my Prime subscription, I'd still have the movies I own).

I believe the new service will be strictly streaming and separate from the Disney owned cloud movie locker.

Why do you want to watch Kung Fu? That's boring. I tried to rewatch it about 2 or 3 years ago and was bored out of my brain. I used to watch it when I was younger. It was so slow and the fighting was even worse than I remember (and I remembered it was quite bad).

David Carradine had trouble doing any kicks above shin level for the other person, and was very bland in his personality. He always spoke like this: "I do not wish... to fight."

I thought it might even have at least some story value or philosophy value, but even that was dull. It's like being subjected to Fant4stic and then falling asleep early on only to wake up and see the screen saying "one year later". :o

Well since I can't get it on Vudu, I Haven't seen it since I was 10, so I wouldn't know how it holds up.:cwink:

I find it hard to believe anyone wants it more than me, but it would be nice to think so.:cwink:

They're keeping streaming ESPN separate, though. It's a bit of a red flag... if they're smart, they WILL offer everything you mentioned and more in one service. The whole ABC library (unless there's old stuff they consider too mature for the brand), the whole Disney Channel library, at least one Marvel cartoon per superhero/team, Clone Wars, the Disney Animated canon, the MCU, every Pixar film...

That is how Hotstar does it here in India. You get all the Star content in one roof. That includes movies, TV Series in various languages that go all across India, Sports and special features, stand up comedy shows that are popular etc etc. If they are smart, they will just do one streaming service for all with various different subscription options, not all that different to how you get DTH TV.

That series of toys have been planned since at least 2016. They've been relasing one member of the FF at a time starting with Invisible Woman at the beginning of last year, Thing is the last one who was just released.
I don't know what the future of FF merchandise will be after this. I suspect we will find out after the release of their comic on August 8th. I'm hoping for some Funko POP! Vinyl's to be announced. I'd buy them in a heartbeat.

 I remember the Invisible Woman, but hadn't heard about the Thing (I've got a bit of a collection, so I might pick this up) until just this morning.

In hindsight, it might have been part of a long-term plan to reintroduce the FF (at least on the comics side). I'm going to pop over to Amazon to see if there are any cool T-shirts or other things. It's been hard to find much of anything over the past few years.

I am waiting for The Thing and Silver Surfer to come stateside. I scored Mr. Fantastic recently, so I am close to having a full FF!!!

Now we need a new Doom as well :cwink:

 Is there a Silver surfer in this series? I haven't been paying much attention, but I might have to pop by Walgreens on my way home.

Silver Surfer and The Thing are the next 2 exclusives, but I am not sure if they are available stateside. Reed, Sue, and Johnny are available now, though. Reed was by far the hardest for me to find.

I've never been to Comic-Con. If the deal closes this year, I might have to try to go in 2019.

But there's also a D23 in 2019, so they could announce something there. I'd think it would make more sense to announce something like FF/X-men films on the long-term schedule at Comic Con though (and Comic Con is in July and D23 is in August - they could announce at Comic Con and then provide more details at D23).

 It seems like the Thing might have just come out ( I saw the above review and a couple others dated over the past few days), so it might be worth stopping by your local Walgreens (or maybe call around in case some have them and some don't).

I don't really like that Thing figure. His head sculpt looks a bit weird, particularly the top of his head. I preferred the head sculpt of the Toybiz Marvel Legends Thing (which they actually used in the 2005 Fantastic Four movie):

The proportions of the overall figure were a bit off though, and his arms were way too long. But if they could get a similar head sculpt it would be great. I still haven't seen the perfect Thing figure yet. Other companies have done some good busts or maquettes though.

Sadly where I currently live, not easy to get a Walgreens without driving 40 mins and crossing the Maryland border :csad: Up until I moved in November, I lived near like 10 Walgreens, LOL! I had to get someone back home to find Reed for me locally and ship him to me.

Yeah, it's cool that they actually have one, but I'm not thrilled with the design. It's better than a lot of other ones, but for some reason the action figures always seem off to me. I've seem some really cool busts and other more expensive, limited edition statues, but they just never seem to nail it on the action figures.
