I enjoy the Netflix shows but I want Daredevil to team up with Spider-Man and Luke Cage and Iron Fist not being nerfed on a tv budget would be nice.

It's a possibility. The MCU and the Netflixverse are getting more and more distant

It's more important for me that the Daredevil property honors the source material first and foremost than it is just seeing him and Spider-Man in something together. After seeing what Netflix can do with him, I feel like a movie would underwhelm and lack the bite the show has. So I don't need him teaming up with Spider-Man.

What about Blade? Netflix or movie for you?

I would prefer show. Unless Marvel is willing to go R-rated with Blade and some of the other mystical characters. They would never make a R-rated Daredevil movie and cross it over with Spider-Man. Simply wouldn't happen. Blade maybe they would be willing to go R-rated, especially since his past films were all R.

Not gonna lie, the cybernetic arm was a let down. As much money as they put into these shows they could've atleast used some kind of CGI for her.

There have been a few nuggets here and there...
I loved the actor who plays Bushmaster.
But overall, that show has fallen short of expectations.

The Kingpin was cast perfectly in DD. Charlie Cox is good as Matt Murdock too. I'd want to see that cast on the big screen.

Luke Cage and Iron Fist aren't that great. Finn Jones stinks as an actor/ martial artist.

I don't blame Finn Jones for Danny at all. I actually like Finn in the role. The uneven scripts and the rushed schedule/choreography I blame more than him. Look at how much better he was in Luke Cage! I am betting he impresses in season 2.

I think Daredevil is better left on TV. It is a more mature book than the Marvel movies would allow on screen. I'd rather it be a show and retain the edge. Daredevil on Netflix is best.

The netflix shows will come to a stop, probably next year. Hulu will take over the mature ones and Disney streaming will take over the PG13 and below ones. From what I remember, Netflix has a period of streaming distribution exclusivity on the 2016-2019 Disney movies and the Marvel TV shows they distributed (production company is Marvel and ABC). They then have a time of non exclusivity after that (i.e. they still have rights to distribute but it's not exclusive). I am 99% sure I heard that from Iger in one of the quarterly calls. It's quite possible that the non exclusive rights to distribute will expire as well.

There's also the fact that post acquisition Marvel will release R rated movies (Deadpool makes that a certainty). A new logo (Marvel MAX or Marvel Knights) will be required to distinguish from the more family friendly affairs. Punisher, Daredevil, Ghost Riders and others can go under the R rated one. I'm sure I'm not the only one who would like to see those characters done right on the big screen.

I don't see why PG-13 Daredevil wouldn't work. Even the Ben Affleck film was a Frank Miller adaptation. I think the character has an existence outside of Frank-Millier-than-thou.

On the subject of the Netflix shows, Loeb consistently has said they will make them as long as Netflix wants them. So the 2019 deal seems to apply to the movies, but not those shows.

We already know Punisher season 2 and Jessica Jones season 3 are coming next year on Netflix. Which will be long after the movies are gone.

This was what my wife and I kept saying as we were watching it. That small part he had in LC was a lot closer to how he should have been from the start, and hopefully they'll carry that into the next season.

And I also think that showed some cool chemistry between the two, and I think they're stronger as a team than as solo characters. Hopefully we'll get more of that in IF2 or maybe a Heroes for Hire series featuring a team-up through the whole thing.

Edit: To your edit, the movies are not going to be gone next year. You'll still see Civil War, Rogue One and others on Netflix for awhile. Furthermore I expect other TV seasons to be announced, maybe Luke Cage season 3 as well, on Netflix.

I think you can read between the lines that Iger wants to retire having put his corporation in the FAANG, and to do that the House of Mouse has to be put in order as far as streaming. Netflix's (and Amazon's) business model is one-stop shopping. He's not going to make consumers navigate a Disney-brand streaming service, ESPN+, Hulu, a Freeform app, and competitor Netflix to stream the content Disney produces, unless he's stupider than I think.

I'm not sure if it's because my expectations have been lowered, but LC2 was one of my favorites. A little uneven at spots, but entertaining and interesting overall.

Luke Cage S2 was a big improvement on the first. I haven't gotten past 4 episodes on the Punisher, it's just very slow-paced. Jessica Jones S1 was amazing, S2 was aight.

Daredevil remains the pillar stone of the Netflix shows imo. First time I ever binge watched an entire show

Correct and the Marvel shows are to remain. Again, that is directly from the source. Everything I have seen/heard is consistent with that message. Iger mentioned R-rated movies are a possibility on one call I saw, but in regards to these specific shows, the message has been that they're on Netflix for the foreseeable future. Until I see otherwise, I am proceeding on the assumption that is the intention for them.

But shifting conversation a bit, even if they leave Netflix, I don't think they will try them again as films. If these properties were seen with that in mind, then Marvel TV would not have been handed them. Another point, would we rather get Daredevil seasons faster, or a Daredevil movie once every like 5 years (especially once they have FF and X-Men)? Do you think Iron Fist would get a trilogy? TV is the best format for these characters. It allows them to be more adult and to not end up like Hulk in the MCU. I don't see them being rebooted as movies or anything of the sort. They would just end up on Hulu or something instead.
