Has it been confirmed that Spider-Man won't be involved in Venom's origin? Sony may not be able to use Tom Holland or anything specifically from the Marvel films without Marvel's permission, but they should still be able to use Spider-man. I don't know how they would do it, but Spider-man could exist in the Venom film as a guy in a costume or he could just be mentioned, but if they want, it seems like they could tie Spider-man into Venom's origin.

The director gave an "explanation" about the white markings in the symbiote not forming a spider shape. So that's as much a confirmation we have right now that Spider-Man, any version of him, is not involved.

It would not surprise me in the least if Disney or Fox goes after Sky again next week after the shareholders meeting this Friday.

Why would they do that though? Would Disney have enough resources to do that?

And wouldn't they rather negotiate other things for their remaining 39% of Sky?

Only assets they could enforce any additional divestment are those based in the EU. Like the FX channel operations, etc.

They have no bearing on things based in the US, like Fox's film studio -- thus the Marvel rights. Those are entirely US based.

In theory they could hold up some of those assets, but like with Brazil, there probably is a mechanism to put those assets somewhere in between Disney and Fox (i.e. in trust) while it is sorted out.

The 'Silver & Black' movie, I wouldn't mind because Black Cat and Silver Sable could operate on their own without Spidey. If there's any film that gets done I hope it's atleast that one.

Silver Sable and Felicia should've been had their crack at a live action adaptation respectively.

They filed for approval in Brazil but I don't see anything about it being blocked

No they haven't. They've submitted to have Brazil's regulatory body review the Disney-Fox deal for the Fox assets based in Brazil. That's all.

I think actor for Wolverine should be younger. Late 20s early 30s. Longevity is important for a character like Logan. Hugh was 31 when he was cast

Not to mention Hugh is kind of a freak. His workout regime and determination were incredible over all that time. I would skew even younger if available. As long as they had man-face.

Sorry but venom is up there with wolverine and Spider-Man. Venom like it or not is Spider-Mans most popular villain. The hype for Spider-Man 3 was all him. Disney pushes him like crazy. He’s on every Spider-Man related media. Brock or not. Anytime a new Spider-Man universe is explored people ask where is venom like this new spidey PS4 game. If the movie sucks people will say venom looked cool and it won’t tarnish his reputation. Venom has been in pretty much every marvel crossover game and was featured in most games. He’s very popular and as recognizable as wolverine.

Lol if you look at the slender man trailer comments they keep asking where is the venom trailer.

I think there was maybe an argument for it back in the 90s and up through SM3, but today not so much. Your core Avengers have easily surpassed Venom and he has faded away from the A-list.

I say it's very easy. You can't fan-cast Tom Hardy in everything.

I dont think comcast is serious at all about Sky. Their latest bid is less than 6% above Foxs. To me it seems that comcast are once again trolling Disney. They failed to gate crash the main Fox deal now their trying to make Disney pay more again. This is a petty feud that goes back to 2004 because comcast failed to buy disney and disney said theyll buy comcast if comcast didnt back off.

Keep in mind Logan could be introduced earlier but yeah, it gets kinda tricky trying to guess when they film in accordance with the actor's age. Someone who is 30 right now would only be 33 in 2021 which Is still young enough.

I think 31 is the magic number. It worked for Bond and it worked with Jackman. And make sure the dude bodybuilds for fun, which is what Connery did when he was discovered and how Jackman kept shirtlessly young-looking until Logan.
Even as little as two years can make a difference if you want a man to look jacked for 17 years.
