It just hit me that we can finally have an epic Silver Surfer solo film. The Lee/Buscema series from the '60s is one of my favorite comics of all time. Seeing him surf the spaceways on the silver screen has been a dream of mine since childhood and now it can come true.

I don't want the solo until he's appeared in another movie first and people wonder "who is that mysterious man on a surfboard?"

Only later should they go and delve into his origin.

I wouldn't mind if he appeared in an FF film and they asked him who he is, and he gave a very abridged version of his origin (similar to FF:ROTSS). Then for his own film, they could use that exact same scene as a bookend for the movie and it could show him telling it in much more detail.

since it's still not complete in 2019, that means fans are going to have to wait to expect teasers and things ;)

According to this: http://****************.com/movies/mcu-directors-roundtable-reveals-truth-shawarma-avengers/ they filmed the shawarma scene for Avengers after the European premiere.

So they could close in April and still have a teaser with Avengers 4... if they want.

We have no idea who's gonna play what part.

All we need to know is Feige got the wheel.

No more Mystique & Xavier brother/sister crap

The Charles/Raven relationship was nonsense from the start. It only got worse from there, with Raven abandoning her "brother" as he lay crippled and stranded being a low point of the series for me. Mystique should have been a strong, fierce mutant leader/rebel in her own right rather than Magneto's henchwoman. She always had her own goals and ideology in the comics, twisted as those were, and she never tolerated the X-Men for long, let alone led them. That's the Mystique I want to see in the MCU.

They didn't add new characters, though. Also it was just them sitting at a table. If we get an easter egg at all, it would be like they insert the Baxter Building into the background. That would be the best I see.

I would gladly take that.

Feige needs to quit the coy act and just say something.

Or just make a simple tweet like "More Mutants".

Feige is one of the more disciplined people in the business. he doesn't buckle at pressure. If he wants to say something, he will. if not, he won't.

They don't need new characters. All they need is a shot of a castle in Europe or a shot of a rocket on a launch pad, or someone mentioning the word mutant.

In fact, for the first two, they don't even need to worry about the deal closing. They just need to be confident it will.

Yes! I love your optimism Willie...I hope SOMETHING is mentioned in a movie next year....Avengers 4 or Spiderman: Far From Home...a character doesn't have to be seen to have its impact...Peter could be on a plane heading home reading or watching tv that the old Stark Tower has been sold to a "Mr. Reed Richards" or he could be watching the news and saying that turmoil has broke out in Latveria etc...none the less, 10 years of hopes, disappointments, false promises, etc. has finally paid off....

 and while they have needed to be careful about even saying Reed Richards or Victor Von Doom or Mutant in the past because Fox could potentially sue them, they don't need to worry about that any more.

They can easily film lines like that right now, just for fun:cwink:. And decide later if they want to use any of them.

Who says they can't ADR a Reed Richards name drop or film a Doom/Mutants post-credits

They can even film a cameo of Stan Lee as a mailman in a blue uniform delivering mail to the Avengers or someone else. They don't need to say who he is, but everyone would know. He could say "you have a package from Mr Richards."

As far as Marvel are concerned, it's just another Stan Lee cameo.

I want the Surfer to have his solo after he and Galactus invade Earth and have their falling out. Ideally, all of the FF's villains will appear in the team's franchise first before spinning off into their own series. No need for Marvel to rush things and do it ass-backwards like Sony and others are doing. Feige has all the time in the world to set the Silver Surfer, Doom, etc., on their way properly, apart from the fact that some of us fans aren't getting any younger. :cwink:

Actually, the shwarma scene was filmed in LA right after the US premiere of The Avengers. The entire cast was there so Feige and Whedon quickly whisked them off to film that scene to add to the US prints of the movie. Fans here even knew that the cast and crew were sneaking off to do something special as they were filming it because they were spotted by photographers. It was a lot of fun following the Avengers premiere and press tour back then. :funny:

Spider-man had a reference in Ant-man. I would be happy with a similar hint for the FF and/or X-men.

I think the only real limit is Feige's imagination and plan. If Feige has a good idea how these characters will be used and introduced (and I suspect he does) he can drop a few lines of dialogue here or there that fit his plan.

That dialogue combined with some visual cues could be very meaningful to people like us without even violating the strictest interpretation of the license.

... and since we all know there will be no one enforcing the license at all soon, Feige has quite a bit of freedom if he wants to have some fun.

Guys, Ian McKellan still wants work. They could film an Avengers stinger of him approaching Wanda and her saying "You're alive!" And hugging him. Do you think he's too old to play Magneto? Who cares - They didn't say his name or "father." The buzz would be far bigger than a Reed Richards reference, since the GA hasn't known who that is since the Story films ended.

That wouldn't be a big buzz. That would be more of a collective yawn, like "oh not him again. More Magneto."

Absolutely fine with me!

How about this guy as Magneto?

I'm not sure if he's the best option, but it would be a fun twist and a way to throw him a bone. :funny:

I think you're crazy if you believe that more people who attend a film that breaks $2 billion worldwide like Reed Richards and have started hating Magneto than like Sir Ian McKellan. Like I said, it would be trivial to keep his role in Wanda's life a mystery.

Thank you @ Tymminator
