What do people think will happen to the Inhumans in the MCU once the mutants start appearing?

Or are they even significant at all? They have only really appeared in Agents of SHIELD and the Inhumans TV series. Although supposedly all connected, are they really connected?

Nope. There'll be a worldwide increase in the number of mutants from "can all fit at Erik's dinner table" to "a bunch manifesting every year", and the global outbreak of Inhumans will never be mentioned again unless there are more seasons of Agents of SHIELD, which the films won't notice. :oldrazz:

Still can't believe the unthinkable has happened and we know for sure they are coming home. Still hope the deal closes before the end of the year

So... now that the big day has passed, what should we be looking out for next? Somebody here (I think) mentioned the international approvals won't get a lot of coverage so what should we be expecting to hear in the coming days, weeks, and months?

I think the next several months will be really boring. I’m looking forward to Nov. Dec. when hopefully they’ll be able to give us some estimate on a closing date.

Keep your eyes on the quarterly reoorts from both companies. They’ll probably have some good info. regarding progress.

And there we have a precedent: a big money film originally intended for theatres to be released via streaming instead.

That the idea of doing the same for Dark Phoenix was unprecedented was the biggest argument against it.

Not anymore.

Same thing happened with Cloverfield Paradox.

I actually saw an advance screening of Mowgli in LA. It’s fine. But I also never finished Favreau’s Jungle Book haha

Some local commentators noted that it was an unusual honor for a private business leader to be greeted by the president at the Great Hall of the People, the ceremonial seat of China's legislature.
Bob Iger has a very good relationship with the Chinese government, especially after he spearheaded the multi billion dollar investment in Shanghai Disney, so rest easy.

That's not even the first time that's happened. Cloverfield Paradox SB commercial and pulling off theaters anyone?

Not anymore.

Disney Streaming pays Fox 100MM for it, FOX writes off whatever losses they incur. Easy way to have tax write offs and expenses between different subsidiaries.

Plus Iger has hinted multiple times at a 2nd park in Shanghai and 2nd DLR in China (presumably Chongqing). There's still no Marvel Land for DLS, Avatar is huge in China, they wanna grow the SW brand in China, etc. A 2nd park and resort are easy leverages for the approval from China.

Any idea on how long exactly for the deal to be approved in those other territories? A month? 3 months? A year?

Tony: The way he ages makes no sense. It's ******ed.
Steve: That's offensive!
Tony: ... how do you even keep up with what's offensive? You sold "Slap a Jap" war bonds.
Erik: He's right, though.
Tony: ... you two grandpas can discuss this over soup. *leaves*

This was actually very funny. Normally I cringe when people on this board “write” Deadpool continuity-explaining dialogue or something like that. This was real good.

Or is it just one-way traffic? Maybe the big screen MCU will just completely ignore the Inhumans, who were almost pitched as the new mutants (not New Mutants).

No matter what Jeph Loeb says, it’s not all connected. It’s a one-way Street. The shows are like how the Star Wars books are, legacy. Coulson Lives...in a fun fan-loving non-canon continuity. Feige will reboot Daredevil, Cage, Pun, Black Bolt, Ghost Rider when he’s ready. Though hopefully D’Onofrio can play the character again. Like it’s Shakespeare.

I think DP does get released, but it would be a mistake to take Kinberg's word as the Gospel. He's been caught in numerous lies in the past, and if it does get cancelled the decision would be well above his pay grade.

Yes, it is coming out in February. As of right now. Things can change, and if the Disney buyout is closed early enough Kinberg could end up being escorted off the premises by security while holding a cardboard box very quickly.

I doubt they even let him take his stapler and Hobo Doom bobble-head. Just go, Simple Simon.

So Feige won the deal with Fox with Ego the living planet for teenage warpath girl. Fox only got to rent warpath girl for a couple of years.
