I hope Igers quote about how there shouldn't be two marvel's means something is in the works that will put Marvel @ Fox/Sony and the TV stuff all under one roof somehow following the merger.

I think he was speaking about the properties he can control. What Sony does with the Spider-Man property outside of the Holland stuff is out of his hands.

Again wrong. If you actually thought that every Netflix marvel show would be dd s1 quality that's your problem and you had unrealistic expectations.DD is one of the best cb seasons out there, there was no way the subsequent seasons would be as good. Most of the Netflix seasons have been good and no one expected defenders to be Avengers quality. It was still solid and far from bad. Loeb is responsible or involved in shows like aos , dd, JJ, punisher, legion, cloak and dagger, runaways, Luke cage. Saying he is doing a badcjob at marvel TV is factually wrong.

I didn't expect everything to be DD S1 quality, but I expected them to be close. JJ S1 and DD S2 did, but nothing else.

I didn't expect IF quality, that's for sure.

His record is mixed, which is why I called him mediocre. Not terrible or great. Marvel can certainly do better imo.

Overall, I am more than satisfied with the Marvel shows, especially when they go darker than the movies ever will with shows like Daredevil and Punisher. There has only been the occasional misfire like Agent Carter Season 2 and Inhumans.

Agreed pretty much on all account. I didn't even hate Agent Carter Season 2, but it felt like going from Iron Man to Iron Man 2 in quality (so the disappointment was high). But as far as the Netflix shows, love them. Look forward to every new season. Daredevil I would even say is my favorite show at this point.

You weren't disappointed with IF?

Yeah Agent Carter s2, IF s1, and Inhumans were pretty crap, but everything else has ranged from decent to amazing... outside of Legion, Marvel's TV output is leagues above anyone else, imo

The network TV shows are good for the most part (aside from Inhumans). I was focusing on the Netflix shows which promised premium content, particularly after DD S1. I don't think it's lived up to that promise aside from DD s2 and JJ S1. Mixed bag. At this point all I really care about is DD and to a lesser extent JJ.

Daredevil and Agents of SHIELD probably have the most consistent quality of all the shows. I really hope we get a Netflix/SHIELD crossover at some point. Remember when Punisher was rumored to appear in SHIELD season 4 was it?

I agree that Agent Carter Season 2 is a step down from Season 1 but was it that bad to people on this board?

Ehh, I don't get the hype around Agents of Shield or Agent Carter, but I love DD, LC and tolerate IF.

It's a shame they don't give Luke Cage Season 2 the respect it deserves. Bushwacker is underrated af.

Personally, I thought it was very bad, and I liked S1 a lot. But the dialogue in S2 was some of the cheesiest crap I've ever heard, and the plot was so weak I don't even remember what happened in it. Some sort of madame masque stuff and a machine and a ghost guy... Idk, I think my brain blocked it

Bushmaster isn't it?? Now I'm picturing the WWF Tag Team duo from the 80's lol...
But I agree, I thought he was great... it was sadly Luke himself who was a bit bland in S2

Lets not forget Loeb did give us Daredevil tho.

As I watch more and more Netflix shows, and become increasingly aware of and bored by the dull, familiar notes, I'm starting to wonder if the only reason DD season 1 worked as well as it did was those elements seemed fresh before we had seen them over and over again.

I'm looking forward to the next season, but I have a feeling it's going to be a disappointment.

I didn't love it, but I thought it was decent and nowhere near as bad as its reputation and reviews. It kept my attention. I actually liked it better than Cloak & Dagger, personally.

I actually don' t think Loeb has as much of a hand in the Netflix shows as Feige does the films they largely seem independent outside the defenders crossover. DDS3 has a new showrunner this year which is exciting.

I swear my mind said Bushmaster but my fingers typed Bushwacker. Send help LOL

I actually think Agents of SHIELD is maybe the least consistent (outside of Agent Carter). The quality bounces around quite a bit. Season 4 was really good. One of the best Marvel shows that they've had. Season 1 (until the last few episodes) was so bad that I quit watching at one point until people said it got better and I watched it to catch up for Season 2.

Season 1 is a favourite of mine because how Joss Whedon it is. Something they lost in the later seasons. Even tho Jed does a great job in the later seasons.

When it comes to tv the real problem are the terrible cartoons. Those need to change.

I like Guardians of the Galaxy, but the others... We know Disney is still capable of great cartoons as they currently have one with the new Ducktales. I like the new Ducktales better than the original. The love of the brand shows there, and that's what Marvel needs.

Not to me personally.

Inhumans was hideous as it was filled with wasted potential from concept to casting.

Iron Fist s1 actually made me angry, and although I heard IFs2 was better, because I know they are still avoiding outfits/costumes/whateveryouwannacallit, I lost interest in even checking it out.

Same here. Season 1 had some downright embarrassing parts.

Exactly. This is why I'm praying that this Disney-Fox deal gives way to a new X-Men and/or Fantastic Four series. They are both long overdue.

This is where that new platform could be a win for future animation. We already see Marvel and Star Wars bringing out the big guns for the live action TV side, so I'd wager that animation will also get a facelift at some point in the need to create new and attractive content.

yeah, Iron Fist S1 was a disappointment, but superior to Inhumans by far... what a train wreck that was. I had to force myself to watch a Marvel show all the way through.

And while AoS has had hit or miss points, it has done better after that crucial 2/3 of S1, when they began to run with the ball handed them as SHIELD fell.

I still wonder, in my head, if we are sacrificing Loeb, when the problem might have been a Perlmutter interference thing.

The of the shuffles makes me wonder....
What if the DP movie added to December in Alita's place is a total off the wall "Deadpool Breaks the MCU Fourth Wall" thing?

"Deadpool Kills Fan4tastic"?

Deadpool Kills the Foxmen?

Deadpool Does a Deuce in Rothman's Car?

Deadpool Breaks Reality?

Deadpool and Thanos, Sitting in a Tree...?

Deadpool Kills Kenny? (South Park joke?)
