I would love to see something similar with the villains (Galactus, Doom, Kingpin)

I had a feeling Venom was going to do really well in China but it's doing mindblowing numbers!

Probably nothing to see here, but the Mouse is pushing to sell off its interest in A&E Networks European channels. While they are currently talking solely to Hearst, their JV partner, Sky may also bid as a partial owner in A&E Networks in that region. Which could bring Kabletown back into the mix. While it's unlikely that any Marvel rights would shake loose from such a negotiation, especially considering the divestiture timetable, it's never a bad thing when Comcast and Disney have to do business.

Whoever has Spidey needs to be giving their all, in Stan’s honour.

Unfortunately, we all know only one company seems to be able (or willing) to....

Speaking of Stan, I was going to a meeting earlier today- a pivotal one that will hopefully alter my future for the better. As such, I was understandably somewhat nervous. For some reason, still unclear to me (probably just thinking of Stan), his famous catchphrase "Face front, true believer!" popped into my head. I repeated it to myself again and again all the way there, and by the time I arrived... I was completely calmed. I always knew that Stan would be there when I needed, whether it was to give me characters with great ideals when I needed someone to look up to, or amazing fantasies to immerse myself in when times were tough here in my own world. But I never would have imagined Stan and his words would come to my aid in such a unique way.

I'm not entirely sure what constitutes my little anecdote as being on topic, other than being about The Man himself. What it has to do with "Keeping Hope Alive". What I am sure of, though, is that Stan would have appreciated me sharing it. Thanks for reading.

Glad he was able to help you.

The devil knocked and they let him in

They ain’t gonna know what hit emmmmmmmm when they get bit with the

They sure did. And apparently, the name he goes by- well, one of them; I'm sure we could think of a few others- is Avi Arad! :funny:

Hopefully Stan lee entrusted spidey to fiege and not arad who only wants to milk the character and not put any thought or love into the movies

Could Stan in theory do that?like leave spiderman in the hands of Feige as a final wish? I just dont see how that would over ride the contracts in place unless it was a loophole left open?

Unfortunately, to the best of my knowledge on contract law, a verbal agreement cannot nullify a written contract. There would have had to have been some foresight from Lee or Feige- which, knowing their wisdom, seems, I think, quite possible. We'll just have to wait and see.

Stan can wish anyone to take care of Spider-Man, but that doesn't effect the contractual obligations. It just means Feige can do his best to make good decisions for the character if he is legally able and assuming Sony presents them the opportunities. Stan's dying wish cannot prevent an event like Sony pulling Spider-Man out of the MCU once their current contract expires.

That’s not how that works, unfortunately

His cinematic fate ultimately rests in the hands of Sony. Sounds scary when you say it, doesn’t it?

If Far from Home makes a billion dollars or at least makes more than Homecoming I think Sony will be open to extending the deal. If Far From Home underperforms somewhat and makes less than Homecoming then you can pretty much kiss MCU Spider-Man goodbye.

Pretty much. It's all about the $$$

I honestly can’t see how ‘Far From Home’ doesn’t make serious bank. Not only will it be the first MCU film post-Avenger 4 but it will be the first Spider-Man after big showings in the two Avengers films. I honestly think Spidey’s Avengers appearance will boost up his solo movies box office.

I think Avengers 4 will end on a bittersweet but optimistic note so I feel Far From Home will serve as a bit of a palate cleanser after the somberness of the previous Avenger film. Audiences will be very curious to see what the status quo of the MCU is and what better way through the eyes of the Peter Parker?

What is the time gap supposed to be from the end of Avengers 4 to FFH?

Ages ago, I remember Feige saying it picks up right after.

Think it's meant to be straight after.
Could be weird seeing a new threat turn up straight after everyone’s dealt with Thanos, although I guess the film might take place over a period of time, allowing everyone to settle back in.

Yeah I definitely remember feige saying something like it picks up minutes after A4 ends
