You’re really overestimating the damage the previous FF films have done. Most people don’t really remember the FF films enough to be turned off from ever seeing another FF film especially if you allow a good amount of time to pass before we get Fantastic Four. Unlike the X-Men, The FF are very easy integrate into the universe especially since they’re only four characters really unlike X-Men where they’re dozens of them around and you’d have go through the trouble of explaining why we haven’t seen Mutants in the MCU before(the in-universe reason, not the obvious real-life legal reasons). Heck the earliest a FF film could possibly come out would be 2021 and that’s a good 6 year time gap between Fan4stic and the MCU Fantastic Four. Hardly anyone is going to be thinking about the previous films by then.

History backs me up. For the classic CBM example, Batman Begins was 8 years after Batman & Robin but the latter drastically affected the former's box office. Audiences were gun-shy. And unlike Fantastic Four, Batman had had popular films in the past and it was really only the one film that was truly hated (FF has three, not counting the un-released 1994 film). People remember these things.

That Doom movie does not need to be made imo. But maybe they can rework it into a Disney+ series
This could actually be ideal. Marvel presents him as the new big antagonist, then just before his arc ends they release a series about his past.

But Begins still got a sequel that made truckloads of money which means the brand wasn't damaged enough to prevent that movie from getting a follow-up and as I said before audiences barely remember the Tim Story movies since they never made much of an impression beyond being mediocre and by the time Fan4stic came out it had been seven years since ROTSS had been released and as I said it would a long time before an FF film would feasibly arrive anyway since the earliest it could happen would be by 2021 which is roughly 6 years after Fan4stic s*t the bed. If you were to compare the time it took for us to go from Batman And Robin to Begins to the time that it would take for us to go from Fan4stic to an MCU FF reboot(if it happens by 2021) then its only a two year difference. And even then, Marvel would also have the option to have the FF debut in a crossover film of sorts like they did with Spider-Man when they put him in Civil War to reinvigorate audience interest in Spider-Man after the audience fatigue starting kicking in and voilà Homecoming is the second highest grossing Spider-Man film that made more than any of the previous two Webb movies. The FF(in my mind at least) will be first not just because of the fact they're much easier to integrate into the MCU than the X-Men at this point; there isn't a high bar to compare it since unlike Batman, Spider-Man, and even X-Men there haven't been any generally well-liked Fantastic Four films so its easier to make a Fantastic Four film that exceeds the quality of the films before it. Think about it: Your making a FF film the Story films which were mixed, and the Trank's reboot(which was universally hated). Those are not big shoes to fill.

Batman Begins also didn't have the power of the MCU behind it.

I remember when I heard the movie was being made, I was very skeptical about the whole concept of a "reboot". It was something I had never heard of before. My thought was "You can do that?" I couldn't wrap my head around it and I think that more than anything else kept me out of the theater for it. I was definitely there opening weekend for The Dark Knight though.

I think Feige will be able to repair the FF brand pretty quickly.

They should start by having Doom,Reed or Johnny appear in another movie. See what the audience reaction is like, build up some hype.

So apparently a second Captain Marvel trailer is going to debut before the first Avengers 4 trailer tommorow night.

But we may get the A4 trailer this Wednesday.

Marvel knows people are annoyed after waiting an extra week. This would make up for it.

I hope the Avengers 4 trailer drops and it still says at the end "Untitled Avengers Film" :o

I get why they’d save the A4 trailer for last but we already got a Carol Danvers trailer.

Whatever I guess. Disappointing to wait even longer when we know something is coming tomorrow but it’s not worth being mad like some crazies out there.

Next week is looking to be quite a ride for Marvel fans. It may be too much awesomeness for us to handle. I suspect Marvel will reveal the title of A4 a day before the trailer drops(unless the they want to reveal the title on the same day the trailer drops which I think would be pretty pointless).

Sorry for the double post but I really like that we’ll be possibly getting two Marvel trailers on the same week and I like that there is one more look at Captain Marvel(the appetizer) before we get to the Avengers 4 trailer(the main course!).

It’s going to be a helluva of a ride!

Whatever it’s called, that next Avengers movie is gonna make a killing. We are so invested in how this turns out.

Hell, Avengers 4, Toy Story 4, Lion King 2.0 and Captain Marvel, Disney is totally gonna make back that money they spent to buy FOX next year alone lol.

This Week Is Going To Be Unforgettable For Marvel Fans

Ok now I'm hype. Do we think this could be anything Fox Marvel related? Or just the Captain Marvel and Avengers trailers?

It’s just too early for that

Especially with Dark Phoenix still yet to be released and the overall deal not being 100% done

I mean we're coming up on the 1 year anniversary of the Disney-Fox deal being announced. Could Disney surprise everyone and announce a close date?

A close date for the deal? It's not up to them.

Y’all give Dark Phoenix too much power. It’s gonna be right on that shelf with New Mutants.

Hopefully the news is the deal will be done Jan 1st 2019.

its entirely possible that more countries have approved than we're aware of. Disney would have this information and if they get the OK from the lawyers and regulators then they could announce a close date. It would certainly be something to get fans excited during a week full of marvel trailers.

Not up to Disney? Sure it is. They may have to get some things done first... or those things may be done, but ultimately they're the ones who decide what needs to get done and when they're going to close..

Or am I missing your meaning?
