I would have loved to see that. It's a shame the Spidey rights are still a bit complicated.
Norman being the new giant, taking Stark Industries place would have been great and solidified Spidey's place in the MCU.

Would have loved to see this:
Dark-Avengers.jpg

There is so much more to Osborn than just the Green Goblin. So much the character brings to the wider MU. Imagine a Dark Reign adaptation that lasts for a whole phase.

Still holding out hope we get a thunderbolts or dark avengers movie. Can have so much potiental for your universe.

It would be ideal to get full rights there as well. It might take some skill to do Namor properly in a post-Aquaman world.

I'd say do it differently to Aquaman. Make it about Namor seeming like a villain and trying to attack the surface world. It can bring him into conflict with either some of the Avengers or the Fantastic Four.

Maybe he can fight the Human Torch in a nod to the classic stories where he fought the original android Torch.

Saying Aquaman has been done is like not making another space film because Star Wars has been done.

It's about doing it straight after. You see dinosaurs for the first time in Jurassic Park for eg and that magic isn't necessarily there again. You might be open to 100 other films like that later but it looks almost cheesy if an imitator comes out soon after. You can do Namor as a surface world antagonist, but it's the underwater kingdom that is something new for audiences. I'm sure Feige can make it work, but there is now a competitive challenge to make it work where there was none.

After EG it could be time to unveil the Dark Avengers while a New Avengers forms.

Wanted: One copy of FFINO, two six-packs of beer (buffer to allow me to tolerate watching), airsickness bag (just in case it is that bad).
Needed by three weeks after closing of deal.

Sigh. What I sacrifice to get our Four back.

I hope they do a slate announcement gala, and have Deadpool crash and troll it, working for the laughs.

KF: So, for our last film...
DP: Oh, hi there Kevin. You forgot someone. This whole thing would not be possible if I had not broken the 4th wall, and warped reality in ways you never would have had a chance without. Now, where is my movie's slot, my 4thquels spot, and the six Xforce movies?

:funny:

I have watched it since the deal was announced, and it's much more fun now. Before the deal, it pissed me off. Now I can just laugh at it.

I'm looking forward to seeing how bad Dark Phoenix is. I suspect the reviews will offer some entertaining snark.

He's more in vein of Daniel RPK or Jeremy Conrad. Plus he has actually worked within 20th Century Fox. So I'm not going to dismiss this guy. A Weapon X prequel set in the MCU could be amazing

Don't get me wrong, I'd be all for it, and it would be amazing. But I am not treating this as any bit of concrete news or anything. Not until someone more reliable starts saying the same thing. At this point, I consider it wishful thinking/a suggestion.

My take on Namor would be Post Apocalyptic Aquaman. The Sub Mariner used to rule over a vast, sprawling high tech undersea kingdom. But A Bomb testing in the 1950s destroyed Atlantis, and Mr. McKenzie lost his memory and nearly his life. It's all coming back to him now, and he is not happy. IMPERIUS REX!

I could get into that, would be a nice way to set it apart from that Thor/Black Panther ripoff ***ahem*** I mean Aquaman

This is so exciting.

Have they given any new info on the Disney+ service, like projected release date, whether ps4 and xbox will get the app at launch, release window for the marvel and star wars shows...etc??
or is it still just vague assertions of "we're workin' on a thing..."?

I’m glad someone said it. I was low key waiting for Jason Momoa to yell Atlantis Forever!!!

But I digress.

Maybe Dark Phoenix and New Mutants will be dumped on Disney+?

I'm sure that Marvel will transition to Disney+ over the years. First, some movies will premiere there at the same time as theaters. When they think they got enough people. Marvel movies will premiere and be available exclusively on Disney+.

That's my theory anyway.

I don't see that happening. At this time, Marvel films in theaters are way too profitable. They're making 600+ WW on basically every movie they make, so I don't see them forgoing all that potential profit. Not at least until such time as these movies make less theatrically.

I hope that happens. I wish I could chill at home on april 26, stay up till midnight and watch End Game on my 65 inch 4k tv. The movie theater experience is losing its appeal. When streaming options are more convenient. I dont want to lose that movie theater experience though. It should always be there even if it becomes a niche thing. It would be a sad day if there were no more movie theaters but I hope this is the direction Disney go in.However at most I think the time between theatrical release and streaming release will shrink. Probably from 3 months to a couple of months. Marvel and Star Wars movies are basically the only reason I go to the theater now.

Disney+ is more than likely just gonna be the place where side characters can shine since they already have so many and then considering the cavalcade of X-Teams and Fantastic 4 characters, they can get a limited series to connect to the movies.

Shame they’re not adapting the Netlfix MCU characters but...

And any news on Legion or The Gifted? I highly doubt Feige is gonna let those shows continue.

Isn't Legion season 3 in production? If so, that likely will hit air and maybe be the final season.

Think more that it will be the only place to watch the films if you didn't go the cinema.
