She's really pretty.

Sucks Mary Kate and Ashley look like Marvel Zombies now, it would've been cool if one of them could've been cast as Polaris.

I don't know what they look like these days. But I always remember that Elizabeth Olsen looked more lady like than the other two and seems more of a proper actress. I guess they could play Wanda's twins. :o

We just need Bob Saget or John Stamos as MCU Magneto and we'll have a full house (of M).

I received my voluntary letter to make my selection if I want cash or Disney stock for my Fox shares.

Thing to take from that is Expiration date is January 28th. They wouldn't set such a date if they didn't plan to close around that time. It's coming soon.
The rumors were true. Great news

At this point, if the deal closes this month and Feige has 6 months to plan the MCU with the Fox properties- I wouldn't at all be surprised if we get an announcement of the new slate at Comic-Con.

:jd::jd::jd::jd::jd:

I guess the rumors of the deal closing in the final week of January might have been true after all!

Would it be possible for you to upload a picture of the letter?

Good to know

so if the offer expires on the 28th does that mean it has to close before then or can it still close after?

I would imagine it can close after. They would want to know what everyone wants prior to close do they know how to sort the cash/shares as required when it's all done.

As far as I can tell, this "expiration date" would strongly suggest that this is when the deal closes. Is there anything in particular you're basing your statement on that it can close after, or is it speculation? I know you say "I would imagine", but I just want to clarify.

My presumption (and that caries all the uncertainty that word implies) is that they'd want shareholders to state their preference prior to closing, so the 28th would be the earliest the closing could happen and not the latest.

But if they know the closing won't happen until June, they probably wouldn't be putting a January deadline on it.

I'm still going with the idea that closing will happen sometime in February.

I think the "expiration" is just a way of pushing shareholders to make sure they have their preference in before closing.

To use a clumsy analogy, if you're ordering food for the office and you plan to call in to the deli by 11:00 am with everybody's order, you may tell your co-workers: "Make sure you've told me what you want by 10:30. If I don't have your order by then, I can't promise you'll get what you want."

The 28th does line up with the final week of January rumour though. So well just have to wait and see. It may not be that exact day but I think certainly sometime that week would make sense could be right on the 31st lol.

You're probably right. The more I think about it, the more convinced I am that the timeline could go something like this: making some sort of announcement on the expiration date the week prior (since there aren't N.D.A.s for this sort of thing, they would probably want to minimize the window of unconfirmed reports), finalize it around the 28th (I wonder if they still have to clear things up in court, or if they've been working behind the scenes), and then announce the closing at the meeting on the 5th. I don't know Disney as well as others, but they seem like an efficient organization, so this is what I would speculate.

In any case, I definitely agree that we're going to see it close a lot sooner than later. Letting shareholders in on an "expiration date" and then dragging it on for months would be awful PR.

So when should we expect Sony and Marvel to sit down again to try and renew the deal? I'm guessing not till after Far From Home.

Brazil is the one I’m curious about. I’m wondering what’s going on with that. Brazil better not f**k this deal up or I’ll be disappointed.

I really don’t want a Gambit movie, darn it! hurry and close.

I need to see Doctor Doom done properly & Hulk versus Thing in live-action.

chill man the deal is closing. Chances are Disney sorted it behind closed doors.

So around early February is when we start speculating if we getting an extra credit scene that features a mention of the FF/X-men. Cool

@ADollarADay have you heard anything regarding the Brazilian approval?

My latest google search yielded something from Dec 31st that CADE might block it. It's all hearsay though. Just like in MX, Disney will have to compromise on the sports front. They may eventually have to get rid of Fox Sports there (which is stupid anyways because they could theoretically have a boatload of ESPN channels instead).

That's correct.

That's correct.

I believe I saw an article in Brazilian that said Disney is expected to divest some sports stuff in Brazil since it was going to dissolve in 7 years anyway.
