I have to laugh at them trumpeting the return of the FF to comics and video games when their disappearance was 100 percent due to marvel in the first place.

If they didn't put the 'fantastic' in quotes, I might think it would be something like that. But drawing attention to the word fantastic and setting off like that would almost certainly mean something FF related.

It's unlikely to be anything more than that and those 2 suits are FF related enough that it justifies them putting the "fantastic" part in quotes I think. I would love it to be more than that but it's probably going to just be the Future Foundation suit.

I want Dr. Doom to get the Thanos treatment, and not only be extremely intelligent and powerful but also felt like an antagonist with believable motives instead of another Ronan or Malekith.

In Marvels defence they were well within in their right to stop promoting an IP they didn't actually own. And it wasn't just the FF they shunned they did it to the X-Men as well. Its bad business. Fox ruined the FF reputation badly. Marvel are going to have to be very careful about the way they reintroduce the IP and it looks like video games are going to be a big part of the FF rebirth at Marvel which is a smart move. Start drip feeding the audience FF content build up the hype and anticipation again. I feel like well see some FF characters introduced in another movie before the new movie. Using the Spider-Man template. Human torch in Spider-Man 3 etc.

Marvel never stopped owning the F4 or Xmen ip, they shelved them during the nastier parts of of their feud with fox. The movies have a big influence and can destroy the value of the characters everywhere else. But fantastic 4 and xmen were always marvels ip, they just couldn't produce a film with them.

I reckon the F4 will start to show up In some of marvels cartoons next. Introduce them to the generation of kids that are unfamiliar with them. And on the video games front I would love if they made them and wolverine DLC in mvc infinite, I dont own the game but I'd pick it up if they did that.

True. They simply didn't have the rights to exploit those properties through the film industry. Which is kind of a big deal.

But thankfully very soon, that is going to be very much a moot point.

Given that costumes or locations were the extent of all the other heroes’ involvement, it’s probably that. Other Marvel heroes were referenced in the game through locations like Avengers Tower, the Wakandan embassy, Doctor Strange’s house and Matt Murdock’s law offices, but none of those characters actually appeared in person.

The extent of the FF content in the game will likely be that. They’ll give Spider-Man his Future Foundation or Bag-Man costumes and maybe add the Baxter Building as a location.

I don't know if that guy is right (probably not) but it wouldn't surprise me. As I have already said in the X-Men thread, some mutants are simply too big to only be used in team movies.

Storm, Magik, Gambit & Rogue... heck, even Magneto, they're all characters who could carry their own movies.

That poster also doesn't know the difference between "you're" and "your". So it's not just about how to spell Feige's name.
