Maybe Shipp is just relating her experiences of racism from Black people? Maybe that's a hard pill to swallow and would be easier for some had she called out white people? It just makesruns me the wrong way when people keep talking about people's racial purity. As though there are not light skinned Africans and other black people and mixed race people can't portray them or light skinned black people can't portray mixed race either.

A black person can't be racist to another black person, the same way a white person can't be racist to another white person, but a black person can be colorist towards another black person. Shipp don't even know the difference between racism and colorism.
I don't wanna infringe on any of the forum's rules or nothing but how many of yall are black on here? I'm curious lol.

All of this sis. That's why I'm proud of Kiki, she's taking the bold steps to secure her MCU bag. I respect it.

I'm curious where you're trying to lead this too

Colourism is just a form of racism and you can be racist to people of your own race. It's a hatred of people based on their race. Some people can and are that racist to people of the same race as themselves. The KKK have even had closeted Jews in their ranks.

Just to be clear guys, was that Hydro Man or just a Mysterio illusion?
Why can’t it be both? Maybe the MCU Hydro Man much like the MCU Mandarin(before the retcon) will be revealed to be nothing more than a fictitious creation as part of the subterfuge by Mysterio in order to manufacture fear and terror so he can ‘save’ the world and be heralded as a hero or something.

I respect that bro, because at the end of the day, I want all my shades of black people to win, but let's be real about Ororo Munroe: she came from two black parents depicted in the comics, and she very well should be played by a blacktress that comes from that same kind of lineage. That's all I'm saying. Shipp just works on my nerves because she says a lot of sly things about black people when she could take a much more higher road in defending herself. She just rubs me the wrong way.
I get it. I understand why people feel the way they do about the whole thing. Storm shouldn't be mixed (she's not in the comics) But going after Shipp and attacking her identity is the wrong way to approach this situation. And I know Shipp lowkey threw shade at Kiki "wanting to take another black actress' role". And that's petty, she knows that she won't be Storm for long I'm sure. She's bitter, but understandably so -- as she hasn't been treated entirely fair by the fanbase. It's a shame that there is inequality in the black community in itself and we still have a lot of work to do on the issue of colorism and representation.

The classic ocean blue "cat" eyes would look striking on Kiki Storm and be a great way to distinguish her from Singer/Halle/Alex interpretation.

Is that like a white person hating a ginger?

I was actually looking for a clip of comedian Reginald D Hunter saying "what is this? Ask a black person month?" or something like that and all I could find was the clip of him saying " you guys lay into gingers... They ain't even a race".

Yeah. Me too, though there are advantages of doing a series like more in-depth character arcs.

There are. And I think for something like Daredevil or Punisher, it works really well. But Thunderbolts would require a lot of special effects work and expenses. They do a lot of fighting and go to other planets/dimensions and stuff like that. I don't want it looking well below cinema quality like Agents of Shield or Inhumans.

I agree. Thunderbolts needs a level of spectacle that Daredevil or Punisher don't require.

True. Even Netflix fx's can be wonky due to budget.

I like the thought of The Thunderbolts being Suicide Squad done right. I think there needs to be a few more MCU villians in prison to make it work though. Need a few more heavy hitters as well. Might finally be time to get Blonsky out of storage and dust him off.

- Abomination
- Shocker
- Batroc the Leaper
- Zemo

Too bad Bullseye is tied to Netflix and Moonstone hasn't been introduced yet

I am not sure if they could use Shocker without Sony's approval. But the other 3 should def be in.
There aren't many MCU villains alive. Maybe they could add a couple of mutant villains like Blob and Post.

Sony would surely yes to having Schultz appear as the Shocker... I think. Beetle is another Spidey villain that should appear and in an ideal world - Silver Sable could be the "Rick Flagg" of the group

Not if they plan on Shocker being in the Sinister Six.
